Meet Melissa LaRue! Melissa is the Center Director at Holdrege KinderCare in Lincoln, NE. Melissa attended Southeast Community College and earned an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education. Melissa has been with KinderCare for fifteen years, and was a teacher and an assistant manager before that. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys running, working out, shopping, traveling, camping, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. Melissa's favorite quote is, "Teaching children is an accomplishment; getting children excited about learning is an achievement." - Robert John Meehan

With designated learning centers such as dramatic play and blocks in every classroom, children have the opportunity for rich social play and child-initiated discovery.
You’ll also find that our classrooms feature a print-rich environment full of carefully selected materials, written charts and labels, and children’s literature. By helping your child connect spoken words and print, we’re helping develop early literacy and writing skills.
