From the Infant room to Pre-K, assessments track your child’s growth in important development areas, including :
- Social Skills: First smiles, coos, rolling over, sharing, taking turns, and connecting with peers
- Physical Development: From first steps to mastering fine motor tasks
- Cognitive Milestones: Sorting shapes, recognizing letters, and more
- Language Development: First words, naming common objects and emotions, and writing their name
We use trusted tools (BRIGANCE®, TerraNova®, and Ages & Stages Questionnaires®) to observe your child’s progress and celebrate their milestones with you.* Assessment results help our teachers pinpoint where each child shines and where they might need a little (or big) boost.

*BRIGANCE results are based on assessments of 32,667 children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old in 707 KinderCare Learning Companies centers and sites from our early learning centers and Champions sites nationwide from fall 2023 to spring 2024.
