AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED
We’re so proud!
Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited - nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY
What Learning Looks Like
Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
South Hill KinderCare Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step: kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language, math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.
Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program
Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)
In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication, and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math, science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program. From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we have the data to prove it.)
Spanish
Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with the Spanish language. Music, games, children's Spanish literature, and other tools give children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.
Our Teachers
We're the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn't enough though. KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply, we love our teachers and your child will, too.

“
KinderCare and the teachers that work there have been exceptional to my family. I have made personal relationships with a few of the teachers that have taught my daughter and I couldn't ask for a better influence for her. They really go out of their way to make your child feel at home. I personally love the fact that KinderCare follows a curriculum and that they actually teach and get my child ready for her school years. I really couldn't ask for a better place that puts your child's needs first.

As a parent, I love KinderCare's balance of learning and play. But, more importantly, my kids love KinderCare! They are excited to go each day and always have lots of stories to tell about their day and their teachers.

We have been with South Hill KinderCare for more than 9 years, since our first child (Ben) was 6 weeks old. Our daughter (Grace) is currently in Kindergarten there. Our 9-year old son still goes to KinderCare for summer camps and winter breaks. From the infant room to Kindergarten class, our kids were always nurtured and well care for by the staff at South Hill Kindercare. They are like family to us. We love everyone there. The extra programs offered by KinderCare are invaluable and have helped to foster our children’s early learning and personal confidence. Both of our kids were in phonics classes and are now advanced readers. Our children love the various camps offered during summer and activities in Pre-K and Kindergarten class. Miss Stephanie has been wonderful for both Ben and Grace. She has taken extra time to challenge them. Ben is currently in the gifted program. Grace seems to be following in big brother’s footsteps. We believe that the programs at KinderCare have been a huge influence in their learning aptitude. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at South Hill KinderCare.

I wanted to say thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and patient and for caring about my son. He has learned so much during the past 7 months that he has been attending this day care. He enjoys being there and he loves his teachers. I am so happy with the staff and the curriculum that is followed. Thanks again!!

Our son has been at KinderCare since he was three months old and we have been happy with the decision since day one. We love it - he loves it. Most days when we get there to pick him up he is having so much fun that he asks to stay ‘just a few more minutes’. The teachers are caring and attentive and he is in a fun learning environment surrounded by his friends. Over the last 4 ½ years we’ve also taken advantage of several of the extra-curricular classes. He has taken classes in cooking, music, phonics, reading and Spanish! KinderCare is more than just a daycare. Being able to leave him at KinderCare knowing he will be safe, secure and happy is the best feeling ever.

Both of my sons have been with KinderCare since they were six weeks old. Recently, I had gone to visit a friend who just gave birth to her second child. Her first born, a son who is four years old, spent most of his days at an in-home daycare. While her newborn napped, I was reading to her son so Mom could have a little "break" (and a shower!). He stopped me mid-sentence during the story and asked, "Why are you reading so slow and why are you pointing at the words?" I explained that it was so he could follow along with the letter sounds. "Like this," I said, pointing to the word "mom". "What letter is this?" I asked, with my finger under the "m". "I dunno" he replied. "How about this?" I asked, pointing at another letter, this time, the first letter of his name. "I dunno" he said again. This time I asked him "what letter does [his name] start with?" He shrugged his shoulders. Now, while I know that sometimes four year olds can be shy or may just not be feeling cooperative, I had a moment of pride, knowing that both of my boys knew their letters and could write their names at the age 3. I know that that ability came, in large part, from KinderCare. They may not know they're learning because it's so much fun, but trust me, THEY ARE LEARNING! My husband and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience our boys have had at KinderCare - from the relationships with their teachers to the curriculum and the structure - it is something that has had a profoundly positive effect on them. Our oldest is now in kindergarten in a public school and he is reading far beyond his grade level. He enjoys reading and is good at it and I believe the foundation for that was built in his early years at KinderCare.
