AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited - nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Highland KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step: kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language, math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication, and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math, science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program. From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we have the data to prove it.)

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do amazing things!

Our Teachers

We're the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn't enough though. KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply, we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Family Stories

Don't take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • Praises for Highland KinderCare. The teachers are caring and skilled educators! The teachers have given stability to my granddaughter. The environment is safe, clean, and peaceful. My granddaughter wants to go to school in the morning. Thank You!

  • My three children have attended KinderCare for the last four years and my whole family loves it.  The staff is very warm and inviting. I really appreciate Ms. Missy and Ms. Ashley in the office because they have been extremely helpful to me and my children.  Even now that my children aren't so little and only go to KinderCare after school I am dreading the day they won't attend and we will definitely still visit all of the wonderful staff.

  • It is rare to find educators that have taught 15+ years and still carry a passion for teaching as if it were their first day.  I was blessed to have found that individual at KinderCare.  Mrs Camille is an extraordinary teacher who is by far one of the best instructors I have ever met.  My daughter, Mikayla, was new to the KinderCare family and I was extremely nervous about her transition to a new daycare.  Mrs. Camille sensing my hesitation greeted us with such warmth and reassurance that I had very little hesitation letting go of her hand.  Since that time, there is not a day that goes by that my daughter hasn't shared with me all the new and interesting things she's learned.

  • KinderCare has exceeded my expectations. Their curriculum is very creative and they spend a lot of one on one time with the children.  My children love KinderCare and it's atmosphere.  It's almost a home away from home for my three children.  In the last three years the staff at KinderCare have been very open with any questions I may have and very helpful.  I can't think of a better place for my children!

    Kenya S. - KinderCare Parent
  • After much research and feedback from family and friends, we decided to try KinderCare. From my first visit with Missy, the Center Director, I was convinced that this was a place that cares about it's kids. They provided us with materials describing the typical day of a child in their center, showed me around the center, showed me their security procedures and answered all of the questions a neurotic first time mom could have. Alex's first day in the center was hard. Working mom's guilt took completely over and I questioned how I could leave my baby in the care of these "strangers." That feeling quickly subsided when I saw the staff's interaction with Alex and the rest of the kids in the class as well as the empathy that the teachers felt for me as I cried walking out the door everyday. It was quite an accomplishment the first day when I left him at the center without any tears (from either of us).
Highland KinderCare has been a true partner to us in helping us to raise Alex. Ms. Jessica, Ms. Amanda, Ms. Andrea, Ms. Camille, Ms. Cari, Ms. Judy and Ms. Shannon have all taught Alex so much in his 3 years in their care. They not only taught him how to sit in a circle for story time, his numbers, his letters, shapes and colors, but they also taught him how to share, how to be a friend and how to care for others. I have seen the love that they all had for my son and always knew that he was well cared for when he was in their charge.
The teachers and Directors have also been a source of support for me, a working mom. I will never forget the time that Alex shut the screen door on his fingers and I felt the need for "someone" to look at his fingers with me to ensure that they weren't broke (before I panicked and drove to the ER.) Ms. Missy was happy to oblige (and still suggested I get his fingers checked out "just in case").
Now that Alex is ready to head into kindergarten, I need to thank the center for what they have done for Alex and our family. Kindergarten is another big stepping stone in his life. While I am sad that he will be leaving his KinderCare family, I am relieved that he will still be in their care for a few hours after school everyday.

  • I am writing in regards to the Highland, Indiana, Kindercare. I can't tell you how happy my wife and I are with the degree of attention and development each of our children receive at the center. We have reviewed most of the centers as well as private caregivers in the area, and we have settled on what we feel is our best choice hands down. Missy runs a very effective program, and the teachers actually care about the children and their development. In the instances where we have had concerns, each has been promptly dealt with and addressed without delay.

I hope that this letter receives you well, and that you can also provide feedback to the staff on how great a job they are doing in developing the leaders of tomorrow.

  • My two children have attended this center for almost seven years. My son was just a few months old and my daughter was four years old. KinderCare has been like a second family for my children. They truly love all of the teachers at the center. The staff is very loving and patient with all the children in their care. My children both have learned so much while attending KinderCare and both did excellent when tested for elementary school. I would highly recommend this center to other families.

  • My son Benjamin has been enrolled at KinderCare since he was one year old.  I truly love all of the teachers my son has had and feel that KinderCare has become a part of my family.  My son has learned so much physically, emotionally, and academically from the teachers here.  The teachers at KinderCare are friendly and seem to really enjoy what they do. My son is now 4 and in the Prekindergarten program and I don't want to think about not coming here anymore. The staff at KinderCare are fantastic and are invested in each child. I love this center and would recommend it to everyone.

  • Our two boys attended the Highland KinderCare facility for a little over three years.  We are pleased with the level of care and compassion exuded from the teachers, specifically Ms. Camille, Ms. Toni, Ms. Judy, and Ms. Jasmine.  They have been the epitome of the expression,  "Teachers make all the difference in quality education (childcare)." Enough cannot be said about the genuine care that these teachers have for our boys and the growth and the way we have seen them flourish as a result!

What accreditations does KinderCare have?

We are your trusted caregiver. Our centers are state-licensed and regularly inspected to make sure everything meets or exceeds standards, including child-to-teacher ratios and safe facilities. Our centers aren’t just licensed—most are accredited, too! Find out more.

Do you offer part-time schedules at Highland KinderCare?

Everybody’s schedule is different. We’re happy to offer quality, affordable part-time and full-time childcare. Drop-in care may also be available. Reach out to your Center Director to learn more.

How does naptime work at Highland KinderCare?

Our teachers meet every child’s needs during naptime. Our teachers know how to get babies to nap. In fact, they are pros at getting children of any age to nap. Visit our article on "10 Ways We Help Kids Get a Great Daycare Nap" to learn more.

Do you support alternative diets?

We strive to be as inclusive as possible. To that point, we provide a vegetarian option at mealtime, take care to not serve common allergens and can adapt menus based on your child’s food sensitivities. If your child has additional needs, we’ll work with you to figure out a plan.

Are meals included in tuition? Can I choose to send my child with lunch?

We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we'll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.
