Westside KinderCare Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step: kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language, math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Kindergarten Programs (5–6 Years)
Welcome to kindergarten: the gateway to grade school and everything that comes next! Offered in select centers, our kindergarten programs have small class sizes and curriculums that mix learning and fun. The basic building blocks of reading, writing, math, and science are key in kindergarten, so we make sure they get lots of practice in all of these areas.
Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)
You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.
Participating Child Care Aware Center
KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.
Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program
Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)
In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication, and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math, science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program. From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we have the data to prove it.)
Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with the Spanish language. Music, games, children's Spanish literature, and other tools give children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.
STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)
You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do amazing things!
“ It is my pleasure to write this letter on behalf of Westside KinderCare. My daughter was four years old when she became a student at the school/daycare. It was after she was dismissed from two other preschools for behavioral issues. I was very frustrated and desperate to start her back in daycare/preschool as I am a busy mom. When I met with Ms. Barbara, I knew my daughter was in good hands. Ms. Barbara and all of the teachers at Kindercare have been amazing with my daughter. They have been patient and have truly tried to understand why she does the things she does rather than continually punishing the bad behavior once it was complete. Because of this, we were all able to identify what might cause her to become upset, leading to the behavioral problems. I believe the combination of Ms. Barbara, therapy, and all of her amazing teachers have improved my daughter's behavior to the point where one of the preschools she had previously attended is willing to have her re-enroll in their school this upcoming year for kindergarten. On a side note, my daughter has already started to read and write! I am sure she is more than prepared for kindergarten in the fall. She will not only be an excellent student, but a well-behaved one! Both my daughter and I will be very sad to leave KinderCare in the fall as she transitions to school-age years; however, I will never forget the patience and compassion they have had for my daughter. I strongly recommend KinderCare to parents looking for daycare/preschool in our area.Show more
“ My daughter has been attending KinderCare for almost four years and I have not had a single complaint about Ms. Barbara Kehr or her staff. Ms. Barbara and her staff have been invaluable assets and blessings to me and my family. In my opinion, choosing child care is one of the most important decisions a parent can make because every parent feels like no one is going to love or protect their child as much as they would--and personally, working in the law enforcement profession, I am overly protective of my daughter. I had researched many, many daycares before our relocation to El Paso, TX from San Antonio, TX four years ago, and I chose KinderCare because of Ms. Barbara and how warm, welcoming, and confident she made me feel regarding the new transition for my child. She did not want to leave her daycare in San Antonio; however, Ms. Barbara and her kind staff welcomed my daughter with open arms and tremendous amounts of love so that she felt safe, confident, and could not wait to go back the next day. Ms. Barbara and her staff have helped me tremendously with my daughter and her schooling. My daughter can be rather difficult at times, and Ms. Barbara and her staff have worked quite extensively with her during the challenging times and did not give up on her. Ms. Barbara and her staff care greatly about the children (and their families) attending KinderCare. Ms. Barbara personally knows each parent and child, and knows and understands the individual needs of each child. Ms. Barbara and her staff are kind, compassionate, understanding, and have a lot of patience. I consider Ms. Barbara and her staff family because of their love for my daughter and their concern for her well-being and future. Being a single parent, I can honestly say that I do not know how I would have survived without Ms. Barbara and her staff, not only regarding my daughter, but also myself. Ms. Barbara has personally helped me (and my sanity) during some rather rough and difficult times with my daughter’s father and our ongoing three-year court battle. Ms. Barbara and her staff go above and beyond with the children at KinderCare. I am very happy with my decision to have my daughter attend Ms. Barbara’s facility, and consider myself a pretty lucky and blessed parent to have Ms. Barbara and her staff in our lives. They make this KinderCare facility the success that it is, and trying to summarize all that they do is nearly impossible. I will be forever grateful to them.Show more
“ I would like to thank you for all of the support and care you've provided to my son and I over the years. He turns seven on Friday, and he has been with KinderCare since the age of two. KinderCare has been an instrumental component of his development. Not only does he have an appreciation for learning, art, and nature, but he has also made many dear friends and has the nurturing support of the staff. Even today, he continues to enjoy his time spent through KinderCare. He is a tremendous fan of the summer program and the Saturday art & cooking classes, and as a professional and single mom, I appreciate the before- and after-school program. The staff at Westside KinderCare have been very flexible and accommodating in working with my son's schedule when he had tutoring and early release. It is such a comfort to know that even when schools have in-services, parents may rely on KinderCare to provide age-appropriate activities which inspire and entertain, while providing healthy and nutritious snacks and meals. For all that you do, many thanks and appreciation. Please continue the amazing work!Show more
“ There is no other daycare/learning center such as KinderCare. It is definitely one of a kind. Why do we think that? Because KinderCare has been a part of our family for over 12 years. Our three children have/had experienced a wonderful time there. Ms. Barbara and staff have been an absolute blessing in our lives. Always open on time, greeting us each and every time we step foot in the facility, a great learning curriculum for each age group, an awesome summer program as well as after school transportation--the list goes on! All three of our children (senior, sixth grader, and kindergartner) enjoy school and are A/honor roll students. I absolutely believe it's because of the love, care, and teaching by Ms. Barbara and staff. We constantly talk to other friends and family about KinderCare and completely recommend them to everyone we meet. Thank you so much, Ms. Barbara. You have absolutely been so wonderful to us. It's gonna be heartbreaking the year our last kiddo is too old to attend KinderCare.Show more
“ I would like to take the time to recognize the excellent work that your staff does for our kids. It is very difficult to leave our beloved children in the care of other people, especially in a daycare in which one doesn’t feel that their child is happy being in. My oldest started off at a different daycare. I recall the emotional stress that I experienced with the daycare as I watched my child cry as I dropped him off, and cry as I picked him up. I remember the time that I first walked into the doors of Westside KinderCare. I was impressed to see how the staff was engaged and I saw and heard happy children. I enrolled my son hoping to have a better experience. To my surprise, I received more than I expected. The Teachers became our partners in education. The funny thing was that my son continued to cry when I would pick him up, but this time it was because he wanted to stay and play. That was a sign that we were in the right place with the right people. My son has graduated now, and now I have another child who is four. Our family has been in partnership with your Teachers for approximately 13 years. It has been a pleasure for us to see our children flourish in their development. This is due to their dedication which is reflected in our children; and for this we would like to say with all our hearts…thank you!Show more
“ Our girls love to play "KinderCare" every single day. All their role playing is about their everyday experience at KinderCare, about their friends and, of course, about their beloved Teachers (one of the girls loves to be the Teacher, the other one is the student!), and all the great activities they take part in. It is not only the fun we have watching them role playing and to see how happy they are, it also makes us as their parents very happy. For us as parents, it is so important to know that our children enjoy their day in a happy, loving, safe learning environment. I can not believe that one of my girls already knows how to read such a great amount of her popcorn words, she knows how to count to 100! My other child starts speaking some words in Spanish to us, for example. Your Teachers have all the patience and experience to make learning a fun and successful experience for the kids. And on the other hand, whenever we have questions or need to talk to one of them, the doors are always open and they take the time to listen to us as well, as if it were the most natural thing in the world! We are looking forward to seeing our children growing up with their support and enjoying more fun family activities as well as their beloved field trips. Thinking outside the box is so important for them and this is what KinderCare lets them experience. Their team gives them the everyday routine, structure, and consistency they need to feel safe, secure, and comfortable. A special thanks to Ms. Barbara for making this KinderCare such a great and beloved place for our kids as well as for us as their parents. They have put all their heart and experience in there, this is what we feel every morning when their warm smiles welcome us and every afternoon when we pick up our happy and satisfied girls!Show more
“ Just a note to say how grateful we are for the wonderful care and compassion that the staff at Westside KinderCare show our son every day. Starting at a new school is never easy, but the Director, Ms. Cindy, and everyone else helped make his transition a smooth one. We especially appreciate the warm welcome note and class photo that came home with him on his first day of school last June, and the happy greetings he continues to receive every morning. We've seen a huge leap in our son's intellectual and social development since last summer, so we know that he is learning a lot in his Pre-K class while having fun, too. No matter what time of day we might show up at the center to pick him up, the kids are always actively engaged in an age-appropriate and fun activity, even when it's the end of a long day and the Teachers are probably just exhausted and ready to go home. This is a far cry from our previous daycare center, where after 2:30 p.m. the staff essentially "punched out" and the kids were bored and left to entertain themselves. It was really sad to see and especially frustrating for an active child like ours, who needs and wants stimulation and a structured schedule throughout the entire day. As a two-working parent household, we feel constant guilt over having our kids in school/daycare for such a long time (7:45 a.m.-5:45 p.m.). But the fact that when we pick up our son at the end of the day he complains to us that we "picked him up too early" reflects how comfortable and happy he is to be there! Thanks for everything you do!Show more
“ My experience at Westside KinderCare was very pleasant. Since the first day my girls attended, they were very happy there. The facility is nice and clean. They have this very nice outside play area with lots of space to run and play. The Teachers are awesome, they are very loving, responsible, and dedicated. My kids loved them so much. Ms. Barbara Kehr, the Center Director, is the nicest and most loving Director I ever met. She really cares about every single person who comes into the building (from the parents to the kids and even her staff). You can consider this place your kids' second home. Also, they accept CCS programs, which I think is very convenient. They deserve an A+. In my opinion, this is the kind of daycare you would want your kids to attend.Show more
“ I am writing this letter to inform you of the outstanding service that my family has received over the past two decades from two KinderCare Learning Centers here in El Paso, Texas. KinderCare has provided the utmost caring and the best preschool education experience for children. The additional education they received has been priceless to their upbringing. They still speak of the memories that were created by their time with the KinderCare staff. They are all the epitome of what child care providers should be like and I want to take this opportunity to say “thank you, you are the best in the business!” The latest addition to our family currently attends the KinderCare Learning Center located on Enid Count, also in El Paso, Texas. We have seen our son improve drastically with his speech, learning, and motor skills ever since he began his journey at KinderCare. Ms. GiGi, Ms. Mila, and Ms. Rita, who currently care for our son, have demonstrated that they are also adhering to the same standards and essence set by Director Barbara and her team of dedicated providers. We are proud to say our kiddos are “KinderCare Kids.”Show more
“ When it came time to find a daycare for my nine-month-old daughter, I knew I had only one option – Westside KinderCare. As a KinderCare child myself, I returned to the same center that I attended when my own mother needed quality child care more than 30 years ago. I never imagined that the same blessings afforded to me would be available to my own children. The minute I walked in it was like returning to a childhood home – some of the same staff that I adored were still there welcoming new families and innocent little lives and new faces, ready to greet the challenges associated with today’s child. The empowerment and personal growth of all children is absolutely the number one focus of the entire staff. During my first parental center visit, I immediately knew this was the extended family my children would come to know and love just as I did during my youth. My daughter is now five and reading at a second grade level and is able to discuss topics as wide and varied as Egyptian sarcophagi and the life cycle of butterflies. Through KinderCare’s expanded learning programs, she has also been exposed to other educational and social curricula, including Spanish-language classes, cultural diversity, and culinary arts. I have no doubt that her foundational academics were developed and fostered through the personal commitment of her teachers. My daughter is now attending kindergarten at our local public school and is excelling in all aspects of her educational, social, and personal goals. My son’s experiences at KinderCare have been just as rewarding. My son has some unique challenges (don’t all kids!) and has needed some specialized and targeted intervention, both academically and behaviorally. I was never made to feel inadequate as a parent nor ashamed of my son’s struggles. One of the most rewarding aspects of quality child care is the feeling that I am working as a team with those who I entrust the care and development of my children. It is this teamwork that has allowed my son to excel and overcome whatever difficulties he encountered. He is now a child who demonstrates patience, strong verbal skills, and an amazing scope of knowledge well above that of other four-year-olds. I cannot relay the cherished emotions I have when discussing how much I love and appreciate the staff at my local KinderCare. They are not just Teachers to my children and the center is not just the place that I leave my kids as I go off to work. For over 25 years, the center has been a second home to our family – a place for friends, creativity, personal achievement, and the wonder of childhood. KinderCare is a testament to the old saying “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” The needs of today’s child have grown and evolved, but the love shown to our family always stays the same.Show more
“ Being a new mom can be overwhelming when trying to find that perfect place to care for your child while you are at work. Luckily, I was referred to Westside KinderCare by a very good friend of mine. My son started at KinderCare when he was just three months old. He went through their classrooms through prekindergarten. Now my son is in first grade. Not only was he very well-prepared for school last year, but he is also thriving in their dual-language program of English and Spanish. He even has tested into the Gifted and Talented program! I attribute much of his success to KinderCare, their staff, and their learning structure. During his few years at KinderCare, the Director and her staff were always wonderful in answering my questions, offering advice, and giving me feedback on my son’s day and his progress. Other perks for me included flexible drop-off and pick-up hours, reasonable tuition fees, and nutritional meals and snacks. I highly recommend KinderCare to anyone looking for a safe, educational, and fun place for their child. I know they were the perfect choice for me!Show more
“ My experience with Westside KinderCare has been a special one. The Center Director, Ms. Barbara, makes us feel welcome and right at home when we first visited the center over two years ago. Since then, our daughter has not only flourished in her lessons, comprehension, and vocabulary, but has also made many great friends that she will remember for years to come. In our initial search for a daycare center for our daughter, we were very disheartened by the lack of daycare centers in our area that provided the level of care that KinderCare provided. Luckily, we discovered KinderCare and have never once had a bad experience with the staff. The comfort in knowing that a nationally accredited, nationwide learning center was available to us made the transition from home to daycare an easy one. If anyone is looking to place their child in daycare at KinderCare, rest assured that you have found the Holy Grail of daycare providers that is backed by a national corporation who cares about their customers, staff, and children!Show more
“ My children started daycare at Westside KinderCare five weeks ago. I have been impressed with the facility along with the way Ms. Barbara and her staff take care of my children. They are all very friendly and treat the children with loving kindness. I would recommend them to everyone!Show more
“ Ms. Barbara and her team are committed to excellent education and care for each child. Although we have been with this KinderCare for the past 13 years, with all three of our children attending, we continue to be amazed with the dedication, attention, and love that each child receives. We recommend Ms. Barbara and her Teachers to everyone because of their amazing programs and personalities. We have worked with other KinderCare centers in other states as well, so we even recommend the brand to our friends. Professional, trustworthy child care is invaluable. Ms. Barbara and her longstanding team (Ms. G.G., Ms. Mela, Ms. Luisa, Ms. Cindy, Ms. Margarita, Ms. Norma, Ms. Rosa, Ms. Lucy, Ms. Margie, and Ms. Alice,) are true treasures for all ages of children.Show more
“ I am so grateful for all that the staff at Westside KinderCare have done for my family over the last ten years. They have helped us raise our son and with their help, he has turned out to be a great kid. The most important thing to me, and what gave me peace of mind, was knowing that my child was in a safe, nurturing environment. Knowing that this center didn’t have a lot of staff turnover and that my child would be cared for by firm but loving teachers was also very reassuring. They all have been amazing over the last ten years and I would recommend KinderCare to anyone who is looking for daycare for their child. Ms. Barb has been a huge influence in my son's life and also in mine. I don’t think I have expressed my gratitude enough to her and the rest of the staff for helping us when my husband was out of work and we had a change in our finances. Knowing that my son was still welcomed during that time meant a lot to us. Thank you does not seem enough, but thank you for everything, Westside KinderCare!Show more
“ We would like to express our gratitude for everything Westside KinderCare does for our family. We previously had a really bad experience with another daycare, and so we researched many other daycare centers at El Paso as we could. When we first walked into Westside KinderCare, we immediately noticed a different environment. The Director personally walked us through the center, the staff was friendly and answered our questions, and we noticed everyone had real interest in taking care of the children. After almost three years, we are very happy and blessed we chose this center to help us take care of the most precious things we have: our children. Thank you very much!Show more
“ For any new parent, one of the biggest decisions is whether to stay home with your child or put them in daycare. And like any new parent, my husband and I battled with the same decision. After many weeks and months researching daycare centers and some biased opinion on my part, we agreed to reach out to Westside KinderCare. Unfortunately at the time, they did not have any openings in the baby class. A week or so went by and we visited option B; however, I was not feeling the “warm and fuzzies.” At the end of that week, my husband called and said they had one spot open and if we wanted it, we would need to go in that day to register. I was sold! After doing our tour with Ms. Barbara (who happened to be my Kinder Care Teacher), I knew this was the perfect place for our daughter. She has been attending KinderCare for the last five years and they have been the best five years! All the Teachers are so attentive to each individual child and know every want and need of the kids. My daughter is now in kindergarten and thriving well, and I know a lot of who she is (personality and demeanor) is because of the love, attention, and teachings from KinderCare. Whenever asked where my daughter goes to daycare or if I can recommend a great daycare center, I proudly boast about KinderCare. As a new parent, I knew from day one and to this day, I know I made the right decision. My daughter was not just another child in the program, she was their baby as well. To Ms. Barbara, Ms. G.G., and all the wonderful Teachers at KinderCare, I owe my family's gratification!Show more
“ I just wanted to take a few minutes to let you and your company know what an excellent overall experience that we have had during the past seven years of my daughter's life. Although we were apprehensive and nervous (especially being first-time parents), when we first started to send her to KinderCare at three months old, we knew we were in good hands due to the verbal recommendations that I had previously received from several of my coworkers. The Director and her staff have been 100% professional during these past seven years, but more importantly, they all have been loving, caring, fair, and nurturing of all of the kids and it shows in our daughter and her excellent performance at school and has a human being. From potty training all the way through her ability to read even before kindergarten, our daughter's growth is due to the staff who have been nothing short of a blessing. Our little one loves to go to school and I attribute that to the positive environment that she grew up in at KinderCare. I also attribute this to your dedicated staff, many of whom have been there for many years--that consistency in seeing the same Teachers has to have a positive, calming effect on both the kids and the parents. Another positive experience has been the peace of mind that you have given to us as we know that our daughter is in great hands and will be well cared for. Our daughter truly loves going to KinderCare, loves her Teachers and her friends, and that is all due to the positive environment that you and your staff have worked hard to achieve. As we all know, kids are brutally honest with their thoughts and opinions, and there is no other place that she enjoys more than KinderCare. There are honestly times when she is not happy about leaving KinderCare and that would not be happening if she wasn’t having positive experiences at this daycare. I want to let you know that Rosy and myself truly appreciate everything that you and your staff have done for us and our daughter. We are honored to call you and the Teachers our friends as well as the many parents that we also have developed friendships with over the past seven years. We continue to promote this KinderCare every chance that we get, and I know that several of my newer coworkers are now sending their children to KinderCare. I’m sure that it is these word-of-mouth recommendations that have assisted with this center's ability to keep enrollment high even when economic times were negatively impacting everybody. In the past, we have had the opportunity to move our daughter to another daycare that is run by her godparents and a close friend of mine, but yet, we chose to stay at this KinderCare due to the reasons I have stated above. I hope that KinderCare Education will recognize and appreciate what the Director has created and nurtured over her past 20+ years with KinderCare and that she and her staff are real jewels in the desert. Once again, thank you for helping us to educate and raise our wonderful daughter. We couldn’t have done it without the Director and the rest of the staff!Show more
“ I want to take this opportunity to thank the Director and staff at Westside KinderCare for the professional service they provide for my daughter. We enrolled her at KinderCare when she was eight months old. As a first-time mom, I was initially concerned about this decision and leaving her to others’ care, but soon I was assured by the positive experience she has had with her Teachers. Not only is KinderCare a safe and clean place for her to play and grow in, but it's also a learning and nurturing center, where physical activity, quiet time, group programs, individual activities, and free time are well designed to stimulate growth. My daughter is now a happy, confident, smart, and caring little three-year-old, and I am constantly surprised by the new knowledge and skills she learns from KinderCare every day. In addition, the Teachers I have interacted with are enthusiastic, professional, responsible, well-prepared, and polite, and they communicate well with parents and are considerate of individual needs. Again, I want to applaud the Director and her staff for providing great support to our family and keep up the good work!Show more
“ We love Westside KinderCare! The learning center has been a loving and nurturing environment for our 20-month-old daughter and four-and-a-half-year-old son. The teachers are genuine and love what they do. We feel so blessed that our children are taught and cared for by some of the most wonderful individuals! The school is always clean, safe, organized, and decorated with new art projects. My family is so happy to have found KinderCare. Our children love coming to school and learning new things, which is creating a strong foundation for enthusiasm for their education. The teachers appreciate my children's individuality and promote creativity. The quality of care and education that my children are receiving is above and beyond what we expected when we first started at KinderCare! We have created some everlasting relationships with the KinderCare families and teachers. Thank you for everything you do!Show more
