Allen Knowledge Beginnings

We love Knowledge Beginnings and consider the teachers, directors, and families here as an extension of our family. We have a two-and-a-half-year-old and an eight-month-old who have been attending since they were very young. Staff turnover is very low because you can tell the directors take very good care of the teachers, who in turn take great care of the kids and seem very happy to work here and with each other.  All of the staff know everyone in our family by name. I love that they have special activities for the kids such as Splash days in the summer, dress-up days, class parties, special guests, and a daily curriculum for all ages, including infants, such as sensory play. My toddler is advanced for his age in many areas, especially vocabulary, as are many of the kids in his class, and I know the center has played a big part in that.  Several times, I've called during the day to make sure one of my kids is feeling okay and the staff are perfectly understanding, getting their teacher on the phone with me right away to address any concerns. I even called once when I was running late because I dropped off past breakfast time (they serve meals and snacks) and asked if they could feed my son anyway and Katie, the assistant director, said "Absolutely, we'll get him breakfast right away. Never feel bad about calling for these types of things, it happens. We would never let him go hungry."  They really do go the extra mile for your family and I can't imagine taking my kids anywhere else.

My children love coming to school every morning! We switched our kids from Twin Oaks in Allen over to Knowledge Beginnings because of all of the great things we heard. All turned out to be true. Both of our kids' math and writing skills have improved drastically! Also this school does progress reports and one-on-one conferences with the teachers and parents.They are very friendly and extremely involved with our children's well-being and education. Gorgeous school inside and outside! They do tons of events and socials, which allows the teachers and kids to interact. Side note: They serve lunch in a family-style setting, allowing the kids to serve themselves. I know this sounds like a disaster, but they make it work! The staff here teaches the children independence, and my children display these habits at home as well. Nice to know they mirror what we teach them. The tuition is more than reasonable! Very glad we went with this school.

My daughter loves coming to school. She truly feels loved by her teacher. During breaks, she will ask me if she can go to school. As an educator, I know the importance of fostering a love for learning at an early age and I can truly say that the staff at Knowledge Beginnings go above and beyond to start children off on a wonderful academic career!

We have been at the Allen Knowledge Beginnings in the Interactive Kindergarten program since the end of August and are loving it. My four-year-old son loves his teacher and the other teachers he spends time with. He talks about his friends he has met all the time, and best of all, he has made so much progress in this short amount of time. I am very happy I chose to put him here.

We have been with Allen Knowledge Beginnings since they opened several years ago. Ms. Katie and Ms. Alice have been absolutely phenomenal with my boys. My youngest has autism and both my husband and I work full time. Ms. Alice has been great about letting my son have his therapy in the center so that he can progress developmentally and stay on target. They are an extension of our family!

For the past year, my two kids attended Knowledge Beginnings and I highly recommend it. Teachers write notes and share stories on the daily sheets. The Preschool Teacher posts the class's activities so that I can see what my daughter does during the day. This allows me to ask my daughter specific questions about her day. The entire staff knows every family and each staff member from teachers to director has shared stories about my children's days. The teachers are highly skilled and knowledgeable. They keep the classroom engaging by changing activity stations throughout the year. The Director and Assistant Director bring enriching programs to the school and hire the highest quality teachers. I never worry about my children during the day, because I know they are in the best of care.

My oldest son started going to Allen Knowledge Beginnings in 2010. Ms. Alice and her staff are the most professional group I have worked with. I have called the corporate office a few times to brag about a few teachers thus far. In 2012, my youngest son joined his brother at the center at eight weeks old and is still there. Now that my eldest is going to be in first grade, I look back and have no regrets of who I chose to take care of and teach both of my boys. This place is like a second home to my family and me. Thank you, Ms. Alice and team!

The staff at Allen Knowledge Beginnings truly cares about the kiddos. They give us a detailed account of my son's day when we pick him up. The teachers really focus on teaching, not just babysitting. I am so impressed by everything my son has learned since he began going there. I trust the staff here 100% to take wonderful care of my child and give him an outstanding education.

The Allen Knowledge Beginnings has been a wonderful place for our son. I have never doubted that he was in good hands. His teachers go out of their way to make sure I am informed on his day and provide him comfort on days he is not at his best (teething is hard work, after all). We have been very pleased with Knowledge Beginnings and wouldn't go anywhere else!

When looking for full-time day care, I personally toured and spoke with 15 different daycares in the area. Not one of them could even compare to the fantastic things the Allen Knowledge Beginnings has to offer:
 -The atmosphere is very family style, where everyone knows everyone.
 -The staff is courteous and knowledgeable.
 -Parents are kept fully "in the loop" about their child's day via notes and teacher comments.
 -Curriculum is age appropriate and up to date.
 -Safety precautions are taken to ensure the safety of the children and staff.
 -The directors are fantastic leaders who are respected by their employees.
 -My kids have so much fun and love their teachers and going to "school." 
 -Cost-wise, this center falls in the middle of most daycare price ranges.

My daughter has gone to the Allen Knowledge Beginnings since she has been two years old. She just graduated at age five and it is such a bittersweet moment. Knowledge Beginnings has been a place we have called "school" for quite some time, and I love how my daughter feels so comfortable and loved because of the wonderful teachers and the directors. I always feel like my child is the only child in the school when I come to them with a situation, because of how much they try to solve any problem and make me feel at ease. I always tell other parents who are looking for a daycare how wonderful this place is and the impact the teachers and director have had on our family.

We started at the Allen Knowledge Beginnings over five years ago when our daughter was two (she is now seven and we also have a two-and-a-half-year-old son). From the beginning, the staff have always been courteous, knowledgeable, and dependable. All of the classrooms are clean and inviting. Both of our children are ahead of their age-group peers in counting, reading, and socializing which we attribute to the Knowledge Beginnings curriculum and staff.

My two kids have been going to the Allen Knowledge Beginnings for the past five and a half years. We love how all the staff loves our kids and genuinely care for their well-being. We have gone through the newborn room all the way to 'big kid class.' My kids have learned structure, independence, potty training, rules, academics, and gained many friendships. We really like the phonics class, which gives your child a little extra one-on-one time to accelerate their learning. I highly recommend it!
 
I also love how flexible the Director and Assistant Director are when special last-minute needs arise--like bringing my child to the car if I am sick or running late to an appointment for them. I also like the menu and food selection they feed the kids all day. I feel it is very balanced and healthy. I love how they have their own splash park--the kids look forward to their splash day every summer! I also love how they do special programs/camps during the summer and for the school breaks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, etc.). The kids love the in-house field trips and special guests who come to visit. I would definitely recommend the Allen Knowledge Beginnings to family and friends!
