Good Snacking: Healthy Hummus Is a Hit at KinderCare

In 2015, KinderCare stopped serving fried foods in our centers and started offering healthier snacks—like hummus and vegetables. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do for kids. “Our approach to nutrition is about more than simply feeding children – we aim to introduce children to a variety of foods, textures and delicious flavors, and to develop healthy eating habits for life,” said KinderCare Nutritionist Courtney Hines.

Does every kid in our care love hummus? Some kids do (meet two of them in the video above) and some don’t. And that’s okay, because trying new things—even if you don’t like ‘em right away—is part of developing healthy eating habits for life.
