Creepy, Crawly, Yummy! Great Bug-Inspired Snacks for Little Ones

Bananas are an excellent source of potassium and a good source of vitamin C, and this simple-to-make snack also contains carbohydrates, protein and fats. Peanut butter adds the protein. Mix it up—especially for people with allergies—with alternatives like soy nut butter, almond butter or sunflower seed butter. Whole grain pretzels increase fiber.

Kids can help by picking out ingredients at the store, evaluating the different colors of grapes, slicing bananas (with supervision), spreading peanut butter, or assembling the banana caterpillar.
