Preschool Learning

We prepare your child for a lifetime of learning!

When your child joins us for their early education, you can feel confident that we’re going to make their experience as rich and rewarding as possible. Annual assessments are one way we make sure we’re helping your child meet their academic and social-emotional milestones or make up for interrupted learning. Plus, they give teachers and families focused insight on your child’s strengths and areas for growth.

The short story is: Year after year, KinderCare kids make measurable gains—even during a pandemic!

Our Approach infographic

Even during a pandemic, your child will thrive here.

During the pandemic, many kids lost time and fell behind in developing key skills. But this year’s results from BRIGANCE® and TerraNova® national assessments show that the longer children were enrolled in KinderCare, the sooner they reached their social, emotional, and academic milestones.

In fact, results from BRIGANCE® show that on average our students made seven months of progress over the course of only six months, and infants and toddlers had the biggest gains of any age groups in our programs.

Interrupted learning during the pandemic has caused the average U.S. student to fall 4-5 months BEHIND in math and reading. Here at KinderCare, kindergartners average nearly two months AHEAD of national expectations.

Classrooms that feel just like home

A child’s world gets a little bigger every time they step—or crawl, or roll, or hop—into a KinderCare classroom. Here they can build a skyscraper, cook an imaginary feast, or heal a teddy bear’s runny nose. Everything in our classrooms is designed around their unique needs.

• Safety first (and second, and third!)
We know what it takes to keep children safe, so you can feel sound. It starts with paying attention to every detail—big and small. Every day at our center, you can be confident that your child is in the very best hands.

• Helping children develop who they are
Education is about more than knowledge. It’s about helping children develop the social and emotional skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives. Every KinderCare classroom is a mini-community where we help every child succeed on their own terms.

• Teachers who become part of the family
We hire teachers who care. They do more than teach—they nurture every child, paying attention to everyone’s unique needs. At KinderCare, your child will find teachers who believe in them, who give them the confidence to try new things and make new friends.

*BRIGANCE® results are based on assessments of 14,417 students ages six weeks to seven years in 373 KinderCare Education centers and sites from our KinderCare Learning Centers, KinderCare Education at Work Centers, and Champions brands nationwide from fall 2020 to spring 2021. TerraNova® results are based on spring 2021 assessments of 1,299 students in private kindergarten classrooms in 145 KinderCare Learning Centers and KinderCare Education at Work Centers nationwide.
