We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited - nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Scott Swamp KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step: kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language, math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication, and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math, science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program. From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we have the data to prove it.)

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do amazing things!

Our Teachers

We're the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn't enough though. KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply, we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Family Stories

Don't take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • We have had a wonderful experience with our young son at Scott Swamp KinderCare. The kindness, empathy, and attention to detail starts with the director of this center, and is exemplified by all of the caregivers that we came across during our time there. We felt completely comfortable with our son in this center, and felt that he was really loved and nurtured by his teachers and by the director and assistant director. We had to move to a different center because we moved to a different town, but we really loved our time with Scott Swamp KinderCare and wanted to let other families know how great this place is.

  • I started looking for childcare when I first found out I was pregnant.  My niece had attended KinderCare in Farmington and had a wonderful experience. After interviewing and observing various centers, one thing truly stood out about KinderCare on Scott Swamp Road. Every child was engaged and mentally stimulated in their age group - and they were having fun while learning!  Whether their learning came in the form of creative play, group time, or independent center time - ALL kids were forming friendship bonds, learning rules and limits, and exposed to activities they may not otherwise experience. I knew this was the place where my son would thrive!!

My son Robbie first started at KinderCare when I returned back to work when he was five months old. I felt confident and comfortable with his new caregivers. He continued to attend KinderCare until we moved a few weeks ago, soon after his 5th birthday. We miss KinderCare already.

The staff at KinderCare is exceptional.  Miss Anne the director, Miss Krystal, Miss Debbie, and Miss Amanda (to name a few) have become like a second family.

Throughout Robbie's years at KinderCare the open communication between his teachers and us was second to none. We worked together to reinforce positive behaviors and correct any less desirable challenges that youngsters can sometimes exhibit.  I found myself often times seeking advice from the experienced staff, which they were always willing to offer.

Robbie LOVES school and I give that credit, in no small part, to KinderCare. He has a solid knowledge base to build upon and is social and confident. The nurturing and structured environment at KinderCare has helped provide my son with invaluable life skills at an early age. For any parent in search of a learning center for their child...I truly hope they consider KinderCare on Scott Swamp Road. Our family will forever be grateful for the love and guidance he received there.

  • I would like to recognize and thank Anne Hallenbeck, Scott Swamp KinderCare, and her staff. I have had a long standing relationship with Anne and her staff since the enrollment in 2009 of our oldest daughter, and now with my youngest, enrolled in 2014. I am so impressed with this daycare. They are like an extension of our own family. Under Anne's direction they provide a clean, safe, friendly, and loving environment for my children to grow and learn. Their support goes far beyond just the day to day "watching and teaching of children." They really support both me and my husband with their experience and knowledge in helping us raise great kids with big hearts and a tremendous curiosity for learning and trying new things. Anne has been there for our family to support us with questions, concerns and helpful recommendations. She makes time and ensures both our children and my husband and I are supported and cared for.
I am so grateful for people like Anne and her staff, and look forward to many more years as we watch our youngest grow and learn at Scott Swamp KinderCare!

  • I am regretfully removing my son from Scott Swamp KinderCare, where we have been since he was 3 months old. I have decided to switch in order to save myself 30+ minutes of driving every day, but it is still very difficult to leave. We have had a wonderful experience at KinderCare and my son and I will miss everyone very much. I'd just like the company to know what a wonderful experience we had during our time at our center.
Prior to our time at KinderCare, we had spend two weeks in a different daycare during which time my son contracted RSV. After this experience we realized we wanted a daycare that was calm, clean, and loving. We found that and more at KinderCare. As a new mom with a premature newborn that had spent 6 weeks in the hospital in two sparate visits, I could be describes as a high maintenance, first time mom. Anne and her loving teachers did all they could, every day, to calm my fears and help me to realize my son was in loving and caring hands. They went above and beyone to ensure I felt comfortable and he was safe. They took the time to speak with me at drop-offs and pickips. Whenever I went, even at off times, the facility was calm and the children were content. My son's motor skills have developed extremely well due to their approach to development. And, when I tell people how few times my son has been sick, they can't believe it, especially for a newborn/infant in full time childcare.
My son is greeted with smiles everyday by his teachers, and he always smiles right back. He doesn't pay attention as I walk out the door as he's already having a great time. This makes my day much easier as I know he's happy and content at "school".
I am both grateful for our time at KinderCare and sad to leave. Thankfully, Anne has reassured me that if our move doesn't work out he will be welcomed back at KinderCare.

    Thank you,

    Jennifer L.

  • I have entrusted my daughter to the incredible teachers and caregivers at Scott Swamp KinderCare in Farmington, CT since she was just ten weeks old. When reviewing our options for day-cares, my husband and I were impressed at the safety and cleanliness of the facility. However, what really drew us to the center was the passion of the people who worked there, from the Center Director, Miss Anne, to each and every employee. They are committed to providing a loving, enriching and safe environment for these children. I would not be able to go to work every day and leave my daughter if it were not for the level of care and commitment that these incredible ladies provide. My husband and I are so grateful to know that our baby is cared for each and every day by people who have such a profound respect for the trust that we place in them.

  • As a mother to a Three and a One year old I have been a part of this KinderCare family for the past three years. I never imagined that my daycare experience would be as positive as this one has been for me. Anne, the Director and all of her staff truly are like a part of our extended family. They care and love my children like their own and take almost as much pride in watching them grow and develop as I do. It has always amazed me how Ms. Anne remembers each child and parents name and she is never too busy to say goodnight to each child as they leave or to hand them a sticker on the way out the door if asked. I have an open dialogue with each of the teachers and feel as though I am well informed of my kids' activities, progress and development. When around other kids of the same age that do not attend here, it is evident to me that my kids are receiving a remarkable education and that the curriculum offered at the Scott Swamp KinderCare exceeds most other facilities. This KinderCare truly is exceptional and is one that has built a solid and positive educational foundation for both my children and my family. I love this staff and everything they have done for my children!

  • We have been a part of KinderCare's family since 2011. My son, who has now graduated from KinderCare, started in the Toddler room in 2011. Before coming to KinderCare, in our previous center we saw my son fall ill several times a month (viruses, fevers, stomach bug, etc.). My concern was that his previous center did not focus on cleanliness therefore, resulting in my son constantly being ill. My husband and I realized that we wanted a center that focused more on cleanliness and we found that and more at Anne's center. We also were very interested in the curriculum KinderCare had to offer as the center he was in did not have a curriculum. When we toured Anne's center, I was exceptionally pleased. Her center was very clean and I was thrilled with how much learning I saw as I walked into each classroom. Talking to the teachers, I could see how passionate they were about their job and how each teacher focused on the developmental aspects of each child in their care. Needless to say, that same day we enrolled him. Within a few short months, my husband and I began to see big changes in our son. He was learning more, talking more and he was healthy! All of the teachers are so warm and sweet! We are greeted every morning upon arrival by all of the teachers and his teachers partnered with us to help him with things that he struggled with from time to time. I never thought I would see my 4 year old writing fluently, adding/subtracting, reading site words and overall accomplishing Kindergarten standards. He is now doing so well in Kindergarten- reading, writing, math and so much more! This is all thanks to KinderCare! Then, over the summer, our daughter arrived into this world and I did not hesitate for a second to have her go through the same journey at the center that my son went through! She is 4 months old and in the infant room - she enjoys her days, the teachers follow our schedules, her room is clean and her teachers are always doing things with the children in their care. We are so happy that we have a second "family" - thank you to Anne & all her staff!

  • My children absolutely love KinderCare! I have two children at KinderCare, my 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter. The environment at KinderCare is wonderful, full of love, nurture and respect. My children love the teachers, activities and learning environment. They are constantly engaged in creative and artistic activities and science themes. As an educator myself, I am always surprised and impressed by the knowledge and activities my children are engaged in with their curriculum. The director Ms. Anne and teachers spend the time to learn and understand my children. They are very personable, transparent and really understand all their families. The teachers there really love our children and care for them as if they were their own. They know their mannerisms and always take the time to share our children’s progress (and of course the cute stories of what our kids did that day). I really trust them with my babies. Both my children have been enrolled at KinderCare since they were 12 weeks old and next year my son will be leaving to enter Kindergarten. I truly believe that he will be more than ready both socially and academically for the next level. I will be a little sad when my son ‘graduates’ from KinderCare next year. I am sure he will be as well since he really enjoys his friends and teachers. He comes home and talks about his friends all the time. Thank you KinderCare for taking such wonderful care of my children! This is why I chose KinderCare!

  • I have been bringing my children to KinderCare since 2006, starting with my two girls, who were three-years-old and eighteen months at the time. When I toured the center with Anne for the first time, I was impressed by how cohesive the staff seemed to be. The girls graduated and transitioned wonderfully to elementary school, having had very similar routines at Kindercare that they did in kindergarden. Years later, when I had my son, I went back to Kindercare. Many of the staff members were still there and remembered all of us. It was like coming back to a family. My children have always felt loved at KinderCare. Leaving them has always been difficult for me, but I know they were and are in good hands.  When asked to describe Anne's KinderCare, I always say it's the best of both worlds...the curriculum of a preschool center, but the love and acceptance of a home daycare.

    Melissa C. - KinderCare Parent
  • Where do I begin? It started 3 years ago when I took my granddaughter to her first day there. I was so worried and nervous I couldn't even stand it. As we walk in we where greeted with smiles. For some reason a since of peace came over me. It just felt right being there. As time went on you got to know each and every person there that help  nourish my grand daughter. It started out with Miss. Debbie As her first teacher. I can never thank her for all the love and kindness she gave her. She is truly a special teacher that I love and cherish with all my heart. Then she moved to Miss Sara's class getting her ready for the next stage of her life. She as will is a special teacher that loves what she does. Her kindness and bright smile made it easier to leave her there. Then the time came to Miss. Amanda's class where she would start building her mine more to learn and think.  Her caring ways and her patience is so greatly notice. Then came Miss Krystal teaching her how to cook and measure things out when after is said and done you taught her math. You have taught me so much and I thank you for that.  Then there is Miss. Ann the director of the center. She's such a great asset and a rare gem that makes it so much easier to drop off a family member. I can leave knowing that my child is safe happy and loved and is reciving the best care that any body can give.  Today was my grand daughter's last day there. It was a sad day for me crying and trying to say good bye to people I come to know as my family, friends.  As we move on to a new journey they say you will never forget your first teachers and I will say this I will never forget my grand daughter's teachers. I love you all and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Miss. Ann Miss Debbie  Miss Sara Miss Amanda Miss Krystal. You are truly the world's greatest gift on earth for that I'm truly bless.
