The teachers and staff at the Glendale Heights KinderCare are passionate and creative and a ton of fun. We are excited about preparing your child/children for a successful school career with the educational curriculum that KinderCare offers. We also have great enrichment classes in music, phonics and cooking taught by Ms. Kelly our Learning Adventures Teacher. We welcome you to our location to meet all of our fantastic teachers and see what they can offer your child.
Wendy Szerbinski, Center Director
Wendy has been working for KinderCare since 1993. She started as teacher in both the Infant and Toddler room. After six years of teaching Wendy was promoted to be an Assistant Director. She worked as an Assistant Director for two years then in 2001 she was promoted to Center Director of the Bloomingdale KinderCare. In 2008 Wendy transferred to the Glendale Heights location where she has happily managed for the last five years.
I feel I have the best job in the world because I get to see children learn and grow through play everyday.
Karen Browne, Assistant Director
Karen has been at KinderCare for four years. She has worked with School Age children, Infants, Toddlers, and Twos before becoming the Assistant Director. Karen has a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics Education from Eastern Illinois University. She was a Center Director before she started a family and then ran a home daycare while her children were small. She was very excited to get back into a center with so many wonderful children.
The children's bright smiles and loving hugs make coming to work each day a pleasure.
Ms. Natalie, Infant Classroom
Ms. Natalie began her teaching career with KinderCare in September 2010. She was the lead Infant teacher at the Roselle-Lake center until April 2012, and then transferred to the North Glendale Heights center. There she began in the Toddler room and was quickly moved to the lead teacher in the Infant room. Ms. Natalie follows KinderCare's Infant curriculum by doing activities with the infants to enhance skills within the four main areas of development which are: motor, language/communication, social/emotional, and cognitive. Ms. Natalie loves to do art project, sensory activities, and sing songs with her infants. Ms. Natalie received her Child Development Associate's through Ellis University in December 2011.
I love working with infants because it is exciting to be their very first teacher. The infant room is where the infants learn their first set of skills, make their first friends, and start really exploring the world around them.
Ms. Magdalena, Toddler Classroom
Ms. Magdalena has been a KinderCare employee since August 2007. During that time she has utilized her knowledge and gained experience working with Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool children. She was voted teacher of the year in 2007 and received the Pride award. She has always loved working with small children because she wants to make a difference in a young child's life.
What makes me happy as an Early Childhood Educator is to see children use the skills she has taught them everyday.
Ms. Toya, Two's Classroom
Ms. Toya has worked at our center for almost six years. She has her Child Development Associate's in the Preschool setting and is currently studying for the Infants, Toddler, and Two year old setting as well. Ms. Toya always has a full classroom because of her excellent curriculum based activities, they are developmentally appropriate and eye catching.
I love my job as a Two year old teacher because they are the most unique group of children, and it takes a very unique person like myself to give the tools they need to succeed on a daily basis.
Ms. Toni, Preschool Classroom
Ms. Toni has been working with children for as long as she can remember, even as a child she was known as a "little helper." Since working at KinderCare over the past 10 years Ms. Toni has floated from room to room, until she found her home in the Preschool room where she has been for the last five years. Ms. Toni has her Child Development Associate's credential in the preschool setting and is working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with hopes of finishing in 2014! In Ms. Toni's classroom everyday is a new adventure and learning experience!
Love making a difference, each day I teach my children I learn something new as well!
Mr. Frank, Prekindergarten Classroom
Mr. Frank has been at our center for 10 years now. His background in English fosters an emphasis on phonics, which helps children prepare for Kindergarten. He wears a different hat every day, and guarantees a different learning experience for each child every day too! He has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Detroit, a Master's Degree from the University of Michigan, and a child care certificate from the College of DuPage.
I've devoted my life to children and each day is blessing.
