Welcome to Stratford KinderCare in Bloomingdale where our main focus is your child! We work hard every day to make you feel comfortable leaving your most prized possession in our hands. Your child's growth is important to us. Our educated teachers use our curriculum and training to provide the best care to your child. Not only do we provide an excellent preschool and prekindergarten curriculum, but we also provide lots of time for fun social interaction in our infant, toddler, and discovery preschool programs. You will love our huge playground and so will your child. Each classroom has specific learning areas to help your child learn independence and social skills such as Dramatic Play, Science, Math, and Art. Be prepared to have your child come home with left over paint under their nails as we encourage the children to use their imagination in process art. Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with the Spanish language. Music, games, children's Spanish literature, and other tools give children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language for vocabulary and conversational development. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, body parts and pets as well as how to get engage conversationally during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo. Health and Safety

Health and safety is a priority at Stratford KinderCare from the minute you walk in the door. There is a keypad entry system with codes that are changed twice a year. When you drop your child off for the day, they are written on our roster and the teachers take attendance every 30 minutes to ensure your child is present. We have a fenced in playground for when the children have their outside time. Also, we have 12 teachers that are CPR and First Aid certified. When it comes to meals, you don't have to worry because we are on the Federal Food Program. This means that your child will get the correct amount of nutrition in every meal served. To keep a health and safe center, we also have a health and safety coordinator to ensure that all staff are following proper procedures.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

At the age of 15 months, I really trusted you and your staff with Kylah's care. You may recall how I reminded you that she was my first grandchild and I had a fear of leaving her alone with strangers and I recall you assuring us that she was in great hands. It seems like yesterday when Darnisha and I walked in and you greeted us only to realize that we had come to the wrong day care. Yet we toured your facility and went home and made our decision that this was the place for Kylah. Since being in your care, she has matured and grown into a wonderful child, from potty training to learning to write and recognize her name and much other developmental advancement. She has learned and developed so much with the help of you and your staff and now it's time for her to move on to the next chapter in her life. Darnisha and I are well pleased and appreciate all that you have done for our family. We will always remember the amazing job KinderCare has done. We will miss you guys!!!

- Grandma & Mother

After doing extensive research, my husband and I originally chose Kindercare over the other daycare centers because of their scheduling flexibility. However, after being enrolled for 7 months, we now recommend them to all of our friends for not only their flexibility, but also because of the awesome staff that we entrust to take care of our daughter. They were great when we first took a tour of the facility, but anyone can put on a happy face. Not only are they genuine, but they go out of their way to meet the very specific needs that we request. The entire staff is on the same page, and we feel very blessed to have each and every one of them looking out for our daughter. As a first-time mom, it’s always a joy to pick up my child with a smile on her face!

- Mother

I can not tell you how pleased I am with the Stratford KinderCare. My son adores his teachers and has learned so much in such a short amount of time. I know that my daughters who are in the infant classroom are well taken care of and loved very much. I am at ease knowing that they are in good hands.

- Father

At first I was worried about sending my daughters to Daycare since I never did this with them or my two other older children. But after I toured the center and met all the teachers and staff I felt very welcome and felt the love and kindness from everyone. My three-year-old has learned a lot since being there, from talking more, to learning new things and making new friends. My seven-year-old attends the Before and After School program as well as the summer program and she loves it! She was very shy and said she didn't want to go at first because she was scared, but after encouragement from the teachers and making new friends she begs me to take her! This center is the best and I thank everyone there!

- Mother

Our daughter has been at the Bloomingdale, IL center since she was 14 weeks old and is now four years old. We have had a wonderful experience in every room she has grown in to. Ms. Lilian and Ms. Joan are her current teachers and are amazing. Ms. Nicole, the Director, is wonderful and very approachable. We feel truly blessed to have found such a wonderful extension of our family values at this KinderCare center. Ms. Nazra was my daughter's three year old teacher and was so caring we feel she really helped our daughter come out of her shell. We are over all very pleased with all aspects of the center.

- Mother

I couldn't have been more fearful at the thought of leaving my baby with a bunch of strangers everyday. The staff very quickly made me not only feel comfortable with the situation but also made me feel like I was leaving him with family. Everyone is so warm and loving. I always feel comfortable dropping off my child knowing that the teachers show him love and comfort while also helping him learn new things everyday. I am thankful that all the staff has made my job as a single mother much easier knowing my baby is loved so much.
