At the West Carol Stream KinderCare, our staff has decades of experience in early childhood education. We have teachers that hold degrees from Associates in Early Childhood to Masters in Education. Each of them is dedicated to providing a rich and meaningful experience for the children in their care.

Maia has been involved in the field of Early Childhood Education since 1986. She has touched the lives of thousands of children and their families through years of teaching, leading, and inspiring. As a former teacher, administrator, and parent, Maia is dedicated to the principle that play is an important vehicle for children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Maia has experience working as a Lead Classroom Teacher, Parent Educator and Director.

Valerie is truly passionate about working with children and loves watching them grow. She has experience as a teacher working with various age groups, including Infant through School Age. These experiences, in addition to her educational background and perspective as a parent, allow her to provide the best possible care for the children and their families.
Valerie has worked with a variety of age groups as a lead teacher, which includes experience working with special needs children.

Kelly has been working with KinderCare since 2006. She transferred to the West Carol Stream KinderCare from the Geneva East Center where she was the lead Infant teacher. Kelly studied Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Carthage College and Monmouth College. In 2011 she was blessed with her daughter who has shown Kelly a deeper appreciation and love for children. She truly loves her job and being able to spark the love of learning.
Kelly transfered to us from the KinderCare in Geneva.

Marisa has worked at the West Carol Stream KinderCare for almost a year and has developed so much as a person. By working with children, Marisa has gained insight into the skills necessary to be a new mom. In the classroom, she is always actively engaged with the children. She loves to dance, read books, and put together puzzles with them. Marisa is lso acurrenltly working towards a BS at Elgin Community College.
She has worked as a nanny.

Ms. Petra joined our team in 2013. She has a passion for teaching children and enjoys watching them grow. She believes that the most rewarding aspect of working with children is helping them meet milestones. In her eyes, a successful classroom is one in which there is a nurturing and caring environment. Ms. Petra is currently enrolled in the College of Dupage.

Ms. Lisa has been an employee with Knowledge Universe since August 1990. She has her Associate's Degree in Child Care and Development. While growing up she enjoyed a lot of babysitting and with it, other fun and challenging experiences working with children. Her favorite thing about working with children is seeing them grow and learn new skills.

Eva has enjoyed working with children for the past 15 years. She has had the opportunity to work as a lead teacher in the Head Start program. In addtion to completing her CDA, Eva has taken additional early childhood classes through the College of DuPage. She takes pride in her job and truly cares for each child in her care.
Eva transferred to us from the KinderCare in Elgin and has worked with Head Start.

Trista has been working with students with special needs since the late 90's. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Special Education degree. She also attended Eastern Illinois University where she recieved a degree in Recreation Therapy. In her free time, Trista enjoys spending time with her two girls.
She has been teaching in the public school system for the past five years.

Ms. Trudy has worked for KinderCare for eleven years and has been at the West Carol Stream center for four years. She attended Tri-County College in South Carolina and studied Early Child Development. She recently earned her Child Development Associate's Credential. Ms. Trudy loves small group time, including singing songs and reading books. Watching their facial expressions as they participate in activities make it all worth it.
Prior to joining KinderCare Ms. Trudy worked for eight years at the Developmental Center for Exceptional Children.

Ms. Monica has been a part of the West Carol Stream KinderCare family for the past seven years. She has two Childhood Development Associate's Credentials and is currently enrolled at Rasmussen College in pursuit of her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development with a Specialization in Child and Family Studies.
Prior to joining KinderCare Ms. Monica taught English at a Preschool in Mexico.

Ms. Brittany is a Preschool teacher who started with the West Carol Stream KinderCare in September of 2012. She is currently attending the College of Dupage and is majoring in Early Childhood Education. Prior to working at KinderCare, she volunteered at her siblings' elementary school. She also took Early Childhood Education classes in high school. These experiences helped shape her interest in teaching. Ms. Brittany can't help but smile every time a child walks into her classroom, ready to learn.
Ms. Brittany volunteered at an elementary school prior to joining KinderCare.
