Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.
As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.
At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.
As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.
Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.
Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.
Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.
The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.
The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.
Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.
Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.
Our center is closed Thanksgiving Day and the day after.
We, as a center, would like to welcome you to our website, and encourage you to come meet and visit with the group of talented teachers that make our East Boston Center such a wonderful place for your child(ren) to learn and grow!
Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best." -Bob Talbert "The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." -William A. Ward
My name is Georgetta and I have been the Center Director here at the Boston KinderCare for eight years. I got into the early childhood education field some time ago when my children were young. It has been a great experience for me and every day I look forward seeing all the children's little faces. As an early childhood educator, I love seeing the children learn and grow and experience new things each and every day. The best part is knowing that I made an impact in a child's life.
Children are like wet cement, whatever falls on them makes an impression." - Haim Ginott
My name is Lucretia, and I was born in Sun Valley, California. I have worked for KinderCare for fifteen years, I am currently the Assistant Director. I am married and the mother of three beautiful children, two boys, Jonathan and Jordan, and one little girl, Jade. I finished high school and went on to college, where I took child care development classes. I love the enthusiasm of the kids and being able to interact with each one every day.
My name is DeAnna Whitney and I am preschool teacher here at Kindercare. I have been with the Kindercare family for almost 2 year, and have worked in child care for over five years. This is what I love to do. I am a single mother of two boys and they help me become a better teacher every day. In my class, I encourage my children to constantly share their thoughts, speak their minds, and explore the unknown. Everyday is a learning process for us all and I am just so glad I have the opportunity to learn and teach at the same time.
My name is Gina and I began my child care career in 1997. I began working for KinderCare in 2000 at this center, our East Boston Center. I am currently the teacher of Preschool Room B and am loving every minute of it! I have been married since 2002 and have two step-daughters and a god-daughter. In my free time I enjoy Tae Kwon Do and have recently began Jujitsu.
My name is Martha and I have been working here at Kindercare since September of 2014. I truly enjoy the learning experiences that inspire the Pre-K child. After retiring from the public school system I realized that I missed the close relationships with the children. Being here at this Kindercare Center I have been able to establish a close rapport with my students and their families.
My name is Caitlin and I am so happy to be here at Kindercare! I love kids and have known I wanted to work with kids for as long as I can remember. My little brother and I used to play school for hours. It is such an amazing thing being able to watch these children grow amd mature, and to be a part of it all. I absolutely love arts and crafts, and we do quite a few in my class. Being able to provide information for their brains to absorb is the greatest. I know that this time is such an important time in their lives and I feel so lucky to be able to teach and inspire these children.
My name is Rhiannon. I have worked with children since I was a sophomore in high school. I have a son who is very active in school and sports, including football and baseball. He is why I decided to work with children. In July of 2013 I married my husband and now have two daughters. I love spending time with my family and watching my son and grandchildren grow up.
The reason I love my classroom is because I get to see the kids grow and explore their independence. We love dancing, singing, and reading books. We build block towers and love playing house together. I can't wait to get to know you and your family!
Two times each year we dedicate a day for our staff's professional development to further their training and better equip them for the care of your child. The center will be closed on this day for training to occur. If you have questions or would like to request further details, please contact your local Center Director.
Your entire family is welcome to join us October 18th for our community social. Come see how family-style dining is done at our center, mingle with other families, and, best of all, enjoy a healthy snack with your child!
You’ll better understand how we turn our meals into learning experiences and encourage the children to try new foods, practice table manners, use utensils, and simply enjoy a great meal and good company! See you there!
