AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Private Kindergarten Programs (5 – 6 Years)

As children reach school age, our comprehensive full-day kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate, and create – all in a nurturing, small-class setting. Our team of expert educators has created a unique curriculum of reading, language, arts, math, science, and physical fitness that’s presented in a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of learning. Plus, our program is aligned with local and state elementary school standards, so children will be prepared to confidently enter first grade.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Teachers & Staff

The teachers and staff at Peabody KinderCare Learning Center are passionate about educating and nurturing children. Our teachers have an average tenure of eight years at our center and an average of fifteen years in the early childhood education field. The majority of our teachers have their Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, and many have earned their Childhood Development Associate's credential (CDA). The Peabody KinderCare team strives for excellence through continuing education from bi-annual company professional development trainings to seeking additional college courses or seminars in the education field. At the end of the day, the true key to our teachers' success is their passion for teaching and their love of learning.

    Janel DeBenedetto, Center Director

It has been my honor to have been with KinderCare since 1997. I began my tenure at the North Billerica KinderCare as an Assistant Teacher. During that time, I gained the necessary experience with every age, from the infants in our Nursery to our graduating kindergartners. In 2004, I moved from the Teacher role in North Billerica and became the Assistant Director at Chelmsford KinderCare. It was a great experience working with a small team of teachers in a close knit community. In December 2006, I was promoted into the Center Director position at the North Andover KinderCare Learning Center, a program that had been in the community for over 30 years. It was January, 2010, that I moved to our Peabody center.

In 2014, Peabody KinderCare was awarded accreditation through National Accreditation of Education of Young Children (NAEYC). As a teacher, I worked in centers that were accredited through NAEYC, and I’m ecstatic to bring quality education and programming to the children in our center. It has become an honor to work with the phenomenal teachers here in Peabody. In total, our 34 educators bring more than 150 years of experience in educating young children. We proudly flaunt this information!

I have two beautiful daughters that started at KinderCare when they were both just 6 weeks old. When my oldest daughter began speaking, she would refer to KinderCare as her “home.” It is amazing to observe both of their independent, outgoing, and easy-going personalities that they both possess. They both proudly boast that they are “KinderCare Alumni.”

  • Courtney Gray

    Courtney Gray, Assistant Director

I have been with KinderCare Learning Center since 1997. I began working part-time after school as a Teacher’s Aide. I knew immediately that this was where I wanted to be; working with children and families. I majored in early childhood education and became Lead Teacher in the Prekindergarten classroom and loved every minute of it! In early 2014, the opportunity presented itself to take on the role as Assistant Director, here in Peabody.

I feel entirely fortunate to have found a path in life that has allowed me to see the magic and wonder that is childhood, to have been able to bring my daughter Delanie with me to work, and to watch her flourish with a love of learning. I owe much of her academic success to the foundation that was built at KinderCare. I love being a part of the amazing and NAEYC accredited team here in Peabody.

Together, we are committed to strive for excellence.

Filter Center Calendar
August
August's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: All About Me and Dinosaurs
Infants and toddlers will learn all about themselves while kids in Discovery Preschool will take a look at our favorite extinct creatures: dinosaurs! Infants will look at their reflections in mirrors, listen to voices through cardboard tubes to encourage babbling, and practice self-expression as they move while listening to music. Toddlers will create body-related artwork (like paintings of their faces) and imagine the future as they pretend to be all grown up while playing dress-up. Meanwhile, children in Discovery Preschool are in for a “dinomite” time learning all about dinosaurs and their habitats, and they’ll build essential skills through fun, theme-related activities—like counting dinosaur eggs and going on pretend fossil hunts!

Children 4 to 5 years old: Foods and Flavors, Shapes and Colors, and Alphabet Letters/Review
For the first two weeks of August, older children will be learning all about the basic food groups, where food comes from, and how to make healthful food choices. After that, preschoolers will be getting artsy as they explore shapes and colors using materials like blocks, paint, play dough, and colored water—and they’ll even take their knowledge outdoors with scavenger hunts for colors and shapes! Their older friends in Pre-K and Transitional Kindergarten will be getting up close and personal with the alphabet as they learn uppercase and lowercase letters, the sounds the letters make, and how those sounds can be combined to make words—all culminating with the creation of a classroom alphabet book.

Health and Safety

At KinderCare Learning Centers, your child's safety is one of our top priorities. Not only are all of our outside perimeter doors locked to ensure security, but all of our playgrounds are fenced with locked gates as well. Visitors are able to access our lobby through our front door. Our security door has a coded entry where only authorized family members will have a code to access the classrooms. Otherwise, a door bell is available to visitors who will be greeted by a Center staff member. At Peabody KinderCare, we have a Health and Safety Coordinator on site as well. This role includes conducting monthly emergency fire drills, ensuring that all staff’s first aid and CPR certificates are up to date, and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

My son is rather new to the center and, but I always find comfort in Ms. Dee being there to re-direct and oversee his day-to-day activities. It is such a sigh of relief when your child WANTS to go to school! Everyone has taken the time to get to know my son and they all do such a wonderful job with him. I've always felt like we were on the same page and I'm very happy with the care for my son in my absence. In my personal opinion, Ms. Dee is compassionate about her job and it shows in how well she interacts with my son. I would highly recommend this center to any parent in search of a childcare provider. Hands down she is awesome in our book!

- Parent

Thank you for opening up the world of math to our son. I will never forget when I picked him up and asked how his day was and he said, "Math was awesome!

- Parent

I want to say thank you to your staff. As has always been my experience in the case of inclement weather conditions, they made an extremely stressful situation less so.

- Parent

My daughter attends the Peabody KinderCare and has for two years now.  I absolutely love our home-away-from-home...in fact, Kaylie cries when we leave because she wants to stay at school!
