Kathleen Hicks, Center Director
Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.
Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.
As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.
At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.
As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.
Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.
Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.
Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.
KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.
The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.
The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.
Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.
Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.
Our center is closed Thanksgiving Day and the day after.
We are proud to provide our families and children with over 156 years of combined early childhood experience. Our excellent team of teachers work together to support each other, as well as the children and their families. We have biannual trainings for our staff to develop their teaching skills. Each day we come to work knowing the enrichment we provide to each child in our care, is making a difference in their lives.
The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don't tell you what to see.

I love to come to work and watch the children at my center grow each day. Everyday is a new experience for them and I am happy to be a part of that.
Ms. Missy began her career with KinderCare in July of 1990. She started out as a teacher many years ago before being promoted up to the management department where she has been helping to manage the day-to-day operations. Missy has seen many children grow up with KinderCare and they always have a big smile and a hug for her, whenever they see her. Her favorite part about teaching is planning new experiences for the children each day. She loves how excited the children are when they are discovering new concepts. She enjoys being on the children's level, watching their excitement as they grow and master a task.
Ms Kirstie has a wonderful way of bringing comfort to all her Infants. She loves to sing and read with her students and teach them new finger plays! Kirstie provides a safe nurturing experience while providing lots of sensory activities to spark those curious minds that are just waiting to be encouraged as they learn. She is one of our openers at our school and ensures that our center is opened up on time and children are greeted with a smile. In addition to opening, Kirstie is a Learning Adventure teacher. She guides one-on-one experiences for our children in the areas of phonics, cooking, art, music and math.
Ms. Amber is attentive to her younger Infants. You can find her on the floor laughing, tickling, and teaching her students to strengthen their motor skills. She offers a safe, clean and nuturing environment for our infants that sets the foundation of learning about the world around them. She is one of our closers at our center, so her daily communications with parents is a great asset to our families.
Ms. Susan has over 26 years of tenure, educating the children at KinderCare. She is one of our openers, here at the center and is there to greet everyone with a smile and a perky, good morning! In addition to opening our center, she helps our toddlers learn through hands-on experiences and discovery. She provides a safe, nurturing environment where little ones can safely explore the bigger world around them.
You can see the learning come to life in Ms. Jalisa's classroom. She keeps the Discovery Preschool students on the move. It may be as simply as doing a messy sensory activity with her students, to reciting body parts or colors. She is well versed in the developmental stages and pushes each child to reach their potential.
Ms. Deb has over 25 years of tenure and experience working with the children at KinderCare. She shares just as much joy as the children have when they blow bubbles or do a cooking activity. She has a passion for educating and always has a smile while doing just that.
Ms. Alicia has a great bond with every child in her classroom. She enhances each aspect of her curriculum to challenge her students to grow each and every day. She starts off her class each morning with a fun-filled circle time and has a variety of activities for the children to build their physical, social, and emotional development. This approach gives children the freedom to solve problems as they develop skills in reading, math, and science.
Mr. Craig has a love for teaching and brings the outdoors inside the classroom. He is very calm and soft spoken and always down at the children's level. He makes learning fun and exciting for his students while developing their social skills, such as listening, sharing, and cooperation. He implements our Pre-K program which promotes independence while preparing your child for the next exciting phase: Kindergarten!

Ensuring the safety of the children is of the utmost importance. We have staff that are CPR and First Aid trained. We understand the policies and procedures that are in place at pick up and drop off times, which allow only authorized persons to take children out of the center and every thirty minutes each classroom performs name to face attendance. Secured access to the building is provided through use of a key code entry and the building and playground are fenced. Our on-site Health and Safety Coordinator, Jalisa, educates, evaluates and coaches teachers and staff on best practices.
