Our child care center is located in beautiful Alpharetta, surrounded by tall pine trees. We hold many special events including our Thanksgiving play, Dr. Seuss Day, Holiday Program and Martin Luther King Day Celebration. Our Summer Camp includes exciting opportunities for hands-on exploration, as well as stimulating in-house field trips.

Transitional Kindergarten is an enhanced learning program that offers more challenging activities than our traditional VPK “Wrap” program.  Children will experience project-related learning and extended whole group activities. Welcome to Bluegrass Valley KinderCare located in Alpharetta on Bluegrass Valley Parkway and McFarland! Our child care center serves children ages 6 weeks through 12 years (School Age). Our safe, stimulating classrooms are created to ensure learning and discovery! All of our teachers are highly experienced educational professionals who are committed to making a difference in children's lives. Our challenging curriculum addresses all developmental domains including cognitive, social-emotional, and physical growth. All students also enjoy daily Spanish.  We strive to create an environment where children are excited to come to school and where parents feel confident and secure in the educational choice they have made for their children.

Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Private Kindergarten Programs (5 – 6 Years)

As children reach school age, our comprehensive full-day kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate, and create – all in a nurturing, small-class setting. Our team of expert educators has created a unique curriculum of reading, language, arts, math, science, and physical fitness that’s presented in a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of learning. Plus, our program is aligned with local and state elementary school standards, so children will be prepared to confidently enter first grade.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Teachers & Staff

The teachers and staff at the KinderCare at Bluegrass Valley Parkway are passionate about educating and nurturing children. Our teachers have an average of 15 years of Early Childhood Education experience. The majority of our teachers are currently working on or already have either a Child Development Associate's Credential (CDA), Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. The KinderCare team strives for excellence through continuing education from bi-annual company trainings and ongoing state facilitated trainings. At the end of the day, the true key to our teachers' success is their passion for teaching and their love of learning.

    Krystal enjoys welcoming new students to our school and takes great pride when they begin to thrive in a school environment. Krystal also enjoys working along side teachers so together they ensure that each child has a positive school experience. Krystal truly understands the goals and objectives of early childhood education as well as management and shares her experience and creativity with other staff members to continue to create an engaging and educational environment for all our children. Krystal, a native of Louisiana, has been in childcare for 17 years. Krystal holds a Bachelors of Business Administration and a degree in Secondary Education.

    Ms. Naya just loves seeing the smiles on the face's of her young students. Born in Stanford, Connecticut, Ms. Naya moved to Georgia when she was just three months old. She graduated from Chattahoochee High school and received her Child Development Associate's credential from Rollins University. Ms. Naya has a young son who attends our KinderCare school and enjoys being his “mommy” most of all.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of your child is our top priority.  We have an on-site Health & Safety Coordinator who implements and ensures the highest standards in our classrooms and center.  Our building offers a safe location away from traffic, as well as a keypad entrance and fenced-in playground. In addition to maintaining daily health and safety standards, we perform monthly fire drills, tornado drills and frequent security checks.

My two kids are going to this day care since they were six months old. One is going to graduate from the Prekindergarten class this year. We are so fortunate to have found this one with the best and most loving teachers. We don't ever have any complaints or issues.The director Ms. Misty is so understanding and caring. She communicates so well about each and every query we have. When my kids are in the center, I can just work carefree and relaxed at my office with no other worry or anything. Before enrolling my kids at KinderCare I had not taught them any letters, numbers or shapes and now they know them all by heart . All they learn is from their day care. Their phonics program taught by Ms. Britanny is one of the best parts of their curriculum. They do have so many other small parties and we are so glad to be part of them. We don't see our pediatrician many times in a year because the center is kept so clean and promotes healthy habits and food.

All parents are worried about the Daycare their children attend.  Fromm the day I met the staff at KinderCare, I knew my daughter will be well taken care of.  We love her teachers and Ms. Landy and Ms. Misty.  They have all become a part of our family.  They provide a great educational environment, and worked with me anytime I had concerns.  I know we found people we want to stay in touch with through every new experience.
