We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

    Jenna Kemmerer, Center Director

I love that each day of my job brings something new; something funny that a child has said, something endearing. No matter what mood you start your day, they have the power to bring a smile and happiness into it. Sometimes it takes just a hug. I wish I would've thought to write down all the funny and wonderful things I've heard in my 12 years. Sometimes, a memory of a child will pop into my head, and I literally laugh to myself out loud. I've met so many wonderful people - children, parents, families, friends and staff. I'm truly lucky that this job has brought so much joy into my life, and that, my friends, in this profession is never ending.

Jenna is the Center Director at KinderCare, Penn Drive. She started her early childhood career with KinderCare and never left! She's been with the company for 12 wonderful years and has worked her way up to where she is today. In 2001 she started as an Aide, assisting in any room for the KinderCare site on 17th Street. Once she obtained her degree and had some more experience under her belt, she became their Prekindergarten teacher and then became the Assistant Director at that site. She held that position until about 2007 when she transferred to the KinderCare on Penn Drive. She's worn many hats for KinderCare in her years here and has loved every minute.

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Spaces and Places and All About Me
As infants and toddlers explore the spaces and places around them, children in Discovery Preschool will learn all about what makes people the same as well as what makes them different. Infants will experiment with moving toy cars around, build block towers and then knock them down, and even take a tour of the center to see what things are like outside of their classroom! Toddlers will get all revved up as they take a closer look at different vehicles and learn more about neighborhoods, communities, and the jobs that grownups have. In Discovery Preschool, children will be learning about themselves as they play games that strengthen their five senses, discuss feelings and emotions, practice self-help skills, and work on learning the names of body parts.

Children 4 to 5 years old: All About Me and My Home and Family
It’s the beginning of the school year—the perfect time to get to know each other better! Older children will be spending time sharing about themselves, their homes, and their families as they learn what makes people the same and what makes them different. Children will bring their own experiences to the drawing board as they create group stories and 3-D collages about families and homes, pantomime different home- and family-related activities, and draw self-portraits. With our curriculum’s project-related learning component, children in Transitional Kindergarten work together to decide on an individual or whole-group project related to the theme. Past projects have included creating a class book about emotions or working together to build a small-scale home, but who knows—the children may come up with a unique idea that’s entirely their own!

Health and Safety

We have a secure keypad entryway for use by authorized family members and employees. Our staff are certified in First Aid and CPR. We also obtain Fire Safety training yearly and Water Safety for the teachers supervising children on summer swimming outings. Deb Mulligan is our health and safety coordinator on site to manage the health and safety of the children in our care. KinderCare goes above and beyond DPW health and safety standards every day as it is of utmost importance. We also strictly follow safe sleep standards in our Infant Room- back to sleep and sleep sacks are used to ensure the safety of our Infants. Children are bottle fed while being held and teachers sit one on one with them while eating baby foods and table foods. Supervision is our top priority in every age group!

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

My children LOVE their teachers and the teacher's LOVE the kids. Everyone is friendly and the children learn so much. I have always felt that I had an active voice and opinion in my children's learning and the center.

- Mother

I can't say enough great things about KinderCare. Our baby is in the infant room and since she started going this spring, we have been nothing but pleased. The teachers are caring, supportive and very organized. You can see how they have a real bond with our daughter and the other kids. The facility is clean, bright and friendly. The center director and assistant director are so helpful, responsive and flexible. I reach out with questions via email often and they always reply quickly. I call over my lunch to check in on my daughter and they always are so nice and give me a detailed update which I appreciate. We are very happy at KinderCare and highly recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality childcare.

- Mother

I cannot say enough how much the Kindercare team has meant to our family. For the past five years, they have helped our daughter grow and learn more than we thought possible. From cooking classes to Spanish lessons and field trips, she has had many adventures and lots of fun. The team loves and cares for her as if she were their own, and we truly appreciate all of their hard work and dedication.

- Mother
Our school age daughter has been with the center for a little over a year now. My husband and I are very happy with Kinder Care. We have peace of mind knowing that she is well taken care of and she truly enjoys the center especially in the summer with all the field trips and activities.
The staff deserves a big thank you for the care they give each and every day.
- Mother
Finding out we were having twins was an absolute shock. We were hoping to find one healthy heartbeat, and when the doctor said we're having twins, we were so overjoyed, but then immediately concerned about how would we take care of two children at the same time? Our twins were born 5 weeks early, and we were fortunate enough to have their grandmother stay home with them for the first 18 months of their life. We knew we eventually wanted them to attend a structured daycare, but we weren't ready to cross that road yet. When the time came, we shopped daycare facilities around the Allentown area. We immediately felt at home with Kindercare. We were giving a tour of the facility, giving some information regarding the curriculum in the toddler area and all our questions were answered. The twins started out part time at 18 months and not every morning was a joy! There were plenty of tears dropping off in the morning, but the teachers in the toddler room took it all in stride. They assured us this happens, the children are ok and a few minutes after we walk out the door they calm down. We had plenty of phone calls for sick children, which happens, and when our children were involved in a small accident, which also happens. We were always given an explanation and we always felt assured our children were in safe hands. Fast forward to three months after their second birthday, we were now ready to attend the facility full time as we were losing the Grammy Nanny to another family member. Our children look forward to seeing their friends and their teachers in the morning, and they enjoy the special celebrations for certain days. We are amazed at the level of learning as well. It is such a joy to hear your two year old sing you the ABCs or count to ten knowing they learned this at their daycare facility. They sing songs on their own that they have learned in their environment. Sending our children to Kindercare has been such a bittersweet blessing. Nobody wants to give up that special time with their children, but as working family, we must. Knowing our children are safe and having fun at Kindercare allows us to have peace of mind to perform well at our jobs so we can better take care of our family.
- Mother

My son Tyler has been attending KinderCare since he was 3 months old and he has recently transitioned into the toddler room. Tyler and I love the staff/teachers. I chose KinderCare for two reasons: first, because of their learning curriculum & engaging activities and second, because out of all of the other centers that I evaluated, I felt the most at ease after my tour with KinderCare. Each day I am able to see the new and exciting things Tyler is learning and I am able to incorporate those into his learning at home. It’s great to see the smile on Tyler’s face when he sees his teachers; this reassures me that he is happy there. There have been times that I’ve had questions or a concern and the staff has always been so helpful. I always recommend KinderCare to friends and family seeking a provider.

- Mother

I've been with KinderCare for 7 years and really love it. The teachers are wonderful and kind and my children have learned so much. They have worked with my part-time schedule from day one and saved my space when I added two more children to my brood. I'm so happy with KinderCare.

- Mother

We have been with KinderCare since early 2006! My oldest daughter started at 8 weeks old. My youngest daughter also started at 8 weeks old in 2008. Both of my children have enjoyed being at KinderCare. They like it so much that when the youngest is dropped off, she pushes us out the door and when she is picked up sometimes cries because she doesn't want to leave. Both of my children love the Learning Adventures programs (music and cooking). They enjoyed all the learning activities during the day and the summer camp programs. They always have stories of what they did and what they learned. They learned the numbers, alphabet and even how to write! I feel very comfortable leaving my children at the center. Everyone at the center has been great!
