AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Monthly Activities

January's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Light and Dark, plus the Sky and Weather

Through shadow play, experiments with flashlights, observing the Sun and more, infants and toddlers will enjoy learning about light and dark this month. Infants continue sensory development by looking at contrasting patterns and at objects that are clearly defined by sharp edges and bright colors, while toddlers will build on their understanding of the light and dark concepts with play around daytime and nighttime. The older Discovery Preschool children will turn their attention to the sky as they learn about weather, the Moon, the Sun, and stars.

Children 4–5 years old: Transportation, Healthy Bodies, and Winter

For children in the Preschool and Kindergarten classrooms, January is filled with variety! They’ll begin by learning about transportation and studying how things get from “here” to “there.” A few weeks later, the focus will shift to health and bodies, with an emphasis placed on how to make good choices for a growing body. Towards the end of the month, children will be introduced to the transformative nature of the winter season and learn how to dress and take care of themselves when it’s cold outside.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Teachers & Staff

Welcome to our center! We are pleased and proud to introduce you to our staff. We are proud of the fact that we have very tenured teachers at our location. We have teachers who have been here anywhere from two to twenty-five years. The teachers here are also enthusiastic and eager to teach each and every child and would love to meet you and talk to you about their classes.

Before I start my day let me write a long post about KinderCare Addison.

I don't know about all other moms, but for me being a working mom isn't as tough as I thought it would be. I owe that 100% to my preschool, Kindercare on Beltline in Addison. Daycare is expensive so you really want to feel like every penny counts and benefits your child. Honestly, what I pay in tuition comes no where near what they deserve. All the teachers are engaged in Martins development, even the ones who haven't had him in class yet. You expect your child's needs to be meet but you don't always think as a parent that you're going to be considered but I am at Kindercare. I get to be a part of a parent committee, they bring in guest speakers for the parents to learn about and discuss parenting topics, extended hours once a month for a date night and above all the constant communication on Martins education. They even have elective type courses you can enroll your child in. Martin of course is in the music class  Its amazing.

This morning I dropped Martin off and watched him run to his favorite toy and play with the "big kids" this gives me the needed fuel to go about my working day. They moved around the room on little cars while an older girl helped push Martin. The look on his face is indescribable.

If any of my local mommy friends need a preschool, I clearly have a recommendation.

- Mother

I was a very nervous “first-time parent,” and really apprehensive about going back to work and being separated from my infant daughter. The teachers at KinderCare are wonderful! They really put me at ease and are so helpful and easy to work with. They’ve helped me with my daughter’s transitions to formula and then to solid foods, providing great advice based on their previous experience. Not to mention, I can tell that my daughter really enjoys her time with her teachers!

- Mother

I am so grateful for the KinderCare Addison Team! They have helped me tremendously with meeting the milestones that are most important in my children's first year. I'm a new mom of twins who are almost one. The progress they have made by being in daycare is amazing. The staff is very friendly, loving, informative and pays attention to details. I was able to easily return to work after six months knowing that my twins are in the BEST of care. I can not thank Jennifer/Carmen and team for everything they have done for me and the things they have taught my husband and I along the way.

- Mother

I am just thrilled with my son's teachers and the rest of the staff at Kindercare.  The teachers are very informative and the managers in the front are always helpful with my questions and concerns.  I really appreciate all the courtesy calls and emails throughout the day.  Especially being that I am a new mommy and this is my son's first time in childcare.  I can really concentrate knwing that my child is being well taken care of.  Thank you again for the peace of mind you give me and my husband.

- Mother

Being a working mom is difficult enough without supportive child care. Spectrum’s KinderCare staff makes me feel safe and secure when dropping off my little boy each day. His face lights up when we get in the building and he dances and excitedly reaches for his teachers when he sees them. This piece of mind empowers me to continue in the career I love, without having to worry about my son’s well-being.

- Mother

Our daughter is our first child, so we had no experience with daycare. KinderCare Addison has exceeded any possible expectations we may have had. The teachers are warm and loving, everything is always clean and orderly. My toddler daughter actually squeals and gets excited when we walk into the school each morning. The open door policy has made the whole transition easier for my husband and I. The daily reports, art projects, and availability of the assistant director and director have kept us up to speed on what our daughter is learning. We love KinderCare Addison!

- Mother

I appreciate the athletic programs that come to the center. We especially love Soccer Shots! It's very convenient that we don't have to run around after school to extracurricular activities. My wife and I love knowing that our children are in great hands, and that they are constantly academically challenged. We couldn't be happier with KinderCare Addison!

- Father

I am so grateful to have had my son Ayden in Ms. Trisha's PreK class.  He has learned so many new things which includes how to write his first and last name, letter sounds, letter recognition and a lot more.  Ayden reminds me and my husband every night how much he "loves Ms. Trisha".  This will be his last summer at Kindercare and will be starting Kindergarten in the Fall.  I really appreciate all that Ms. Trisha has done throughout the year for our family.  Not only will Ayden miss her, but so will I Thanks!
