AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Monthly Activities

March's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Amazing Animals

Animals really are amazing, and this month the children in the Infant and Toddler Classrooms are learning all about them. We’ll read about both domestic and wild animals and base our activities and play around them as well. Besides singing songs, crafting, and talking about different animals, we’ll also bring in pictures of our pets, make our own animal sounds and movements, and incorporate animals into cognitive, literacy, and mathematic learning appropriate for each age group. For example, the older children in Discovery Preschool will count goldfish crackers or spots on a dog, while the littlest ones will keep developing their senses by sorting and playing with stuffed animals that have different kinds of pretend fur. This is a very sweet and fun unit for children in each class!

Children 4–5 years old: The Sky and Weather + My Imagination

The four- and five-year-olds will turn their attention to the sky and explore the bounds of their own imaginations this month. Children will learn how clouds and different kinds of weather are created, and do fun theme-related activities like create whipped-topping storm clouds or pretend to be a weather reporter. Our Transitional Kindergarten class will take their learning even farther by doing basic research into how rainbows are formed. The second half of the month will give children a big chance to express themselves through art, music, and drama. We’ll use classic stories like The Three Little Pigs to spark children’s creativity and see where their imaginations lead. As always, we weave our themes into literacy and math activities, and place a focus on building both English and Spanish vocabulary.

Come get a sneak peek of summer at KinderCare during our Open House event, from April 10th – 14th.

At KinderCare, our summer adventures are designed for learning and fun. We love taking our experiments outside, having special guests visit our centers, and even exploring our senses on walks outside or by rolling around in the cool grass. We can’t wait to meet you and show you what makes our centers special and why we would love to spend our summer with you!

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with the Spanish language. Music, games, children's Spanish literature, and other tools give children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language for vocabulary and conversational development. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, body parts and pets as well as how to get engage conversationally during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo. Qué pasa?

Teachers & Staff

The Addison KinderCare teachers and support staff are a warm, welcoming and nurturing team. We have teachers who bring experience and know-how and have been in the early childhood education field for over 20 years; we also have teachers who are new to the field who bring energy and an excitement of learning for themselves and the children. Regardless of their length of time teaching, all of our teachers and staff have that innate love of children and commitment to quality and building relationships with families.

We also have Mrs. Marge as our Health and Safety Coordinator. She ensures that the staff is trained in all health and safety matters; she completes a monthly safety checklist; and she completes the daily playground checklist to ensure the condition of our equipment and building are up to standards to ensure the safety of the children in our care.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

I love the people at the center. They are very caring and extremely dedicated. It is very important that you feel that not only are your child's skills being developed but that those in charge of that development have an innate love for what they do. This is a great place to keep your child and have peace of mind.

- Father

KinderCare is like a second home to my children. There they have many brothers and many moms; caregivers to teach and friends to accompany them on their path; you are a great family to us. Thank you very much for existing!

- Mother

KinderCare is a huge part for my son, Kaden's development. He's learning so much-he can name all his body parts and he can count to three-he's not even two years old yet! The staff, including Ms. Marge, Ms. Susan, Ms. Sammy and everyone else has been so sweet to Kaden. He's been at KinderCare for about a year now and I couldn't be happier with his social skills, that he's picking up in learning and all the activities he's part of at the daycare. Kaden is excited every morning when I ask if he wants to go to school and see his friends. He doesn't cry when I leave him there for the day. When I pick him up he's always happy. We love KinderCare for all they do and making us feel like a family. After all, they are a big part of our lives. I wouldn't want my son anywhere else. Thanks KinderCare!

- Mother

My daughter is in the Prekindergarten program and I can't believe how much she has progressed! She loves to learn now. I am very grateful to KinderCare for helping me improve her chances for Kindergarten and beyond.
My daughter's teachers are Ms. Anna and Ms. Farhat. I could not ask for better teachers! Cortney is excited when she gets home to tell me everything she has learned and loves singing the songs to me! I don't think I could have educated her as well as they have! They are my right hand women! I am thankful every day that I have her in Addison KinderCare and can't wait until they join me in her adventure into school next fall!

- Mother

My son Jacob has been attending KinderCare since he was one-year-old. He is now three and I can see how much he has developed. He knows his numbers, letters, colors and shapes. He knows how to spell his name as well. As a full time working parent, KinderCare has helped me in the growth of my child's development. I highly recommend KinderCare as a great start for a child before he goes into Kindergarten. They have highly trained staff who can teach children.

- Mother

The biggest reason we love KinderCare is that our girls enjoy going. It is evident that the staff care deeply about our girls who are 2, 4 and 7. They take care of not only their educational needs but also emotional. As a parent is it great to be able to trust the staff with that is most precious to us. The open communication allows us as parents to feel comfortable with what goes on at school. The staff go above and beyond their job description, especially Ms. Jackie, Ms. Marge, Ms. Haseen, Ms. Sammy, Ms. Farhat, Ms. Alisha and all the other KinderCare staff. We are also grateful to Ms. Sandy and Ms. Susan.

- Mother

Why I love KinderCare first and foremost is they are nice, caring people. My kids have loved their teachers. When question are asked, they are answered and if they cannot they get someone to help. The extra curriculum (Learning Adventures) that is offered at the center is great as well. My son loves his Phonics class and I have also noticed improvements in his speech and letters. The cooking class is a great way to teach children math. Both Mia, who is six, and Enrique, who is four, love the class. The report cards are very helpful to manage my children's learning and determine if they need any extra help.

I love KinderCare for their great service. The teachers are amazing. I have never had a complaint. They have been caring for my baby since she was six weeks old. I feel like they care for my baby as if she were their own daughter. A special thank you goes out to Ms. Marge, Ms. Phyllis and Ms. Alisha because they have always kept me updated on her progress. I have built a bond with the KinderCare teachers and am thankful for such a great daycare!

I love KinderCare because the teachers and staff take very good care of my children. The Infant room specialized to the needs of my daughter (especially Ms. Alisha and Ms. Phyllis). My two-year-old son is very active and sometimes is a lot to handle and Ms. Karina is very patient with him and he loves her a lot. My kids have learned a lot from this daycare over other facilities they have been in. The director and assistant director have always been helpful any time we needed them. KinderCare is an awesome place and I feel comfortable knowing my kids are in your hands.

My family has personally had a great experience with KinderCare. They do a great job getting the kids engaged. Also the summer camp is great and keeps the children occupied during the day. Also, my youngest daughter would not talk before she came to KinderCare and now she is three and talks up a storm. I would definitely recommend KinderCare.
