Mimi Schmalz, Center Director

Bio:

After teaching at KinderCare for six years, Ms. Mimi became the Center Director in the summer of 2011. She has been in the Early Childhood field for 16 years, working as a nanny prior to coming to KinderCare. She has her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, working towards her Bachelor’s Degree. Ms. Mimi loves coming to work every morning and seeing the children’s smiling faces and learning from them!

Ms. Haydet Rivera, Assistant Director

Bio:

Ms Haydet started with KinderCare in 2006, teaching the prekindergarten class, until she became the Assistant Director in 2011. She has been in the field for 11 years, managing a home day care and working as a substitute teacher while attending school. She currently holds her permit in Early Childhood Education. She loves the rewards that come with working with children, no matter how big or small.

Ms. Janet, Toddler Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Janet is new to KinderCare, but fits right in. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and is currently working toward her Early Childhood Certificate. Prior to coming here, she worked in a home-based preschool. She loves seeing the kids smiling and having fun.

Ms. Nohemy, Toddler Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Nohemy has been with KinderCare for over 10 years. She has had 14 years experience in Early Childhood Education, working with preschoolers and infants. She loves seeing the children’s unique way of learning new things every day.

Ms. Rebecca, Two's Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Rebecca has over 13 years experience working with children and has obtained her Site Supervisor permit, as well as her Associate’s Degree. She loves working with children and making an impact on their lives.

Ms. Monica, Preschool Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Monica has been with KinderCare since 2011, starting out teaching the prekindergarten and now teaching preschool. She is working towards obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and has successfully completed Master Teacher Permit as well as her certificate. She loves seeing the big smiles on the children’s faces knowing that she can inspire them to reach their potential.

Ms. Anna, Two's Classroom

Bio:

Although Ms. Anna is new to the field, she adores working with children, as she was a nanny prior to coming to KinderCare. She is currently working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education. She loves that the children always know how to put a smile on her face.

Ms. Aden, Preschool Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Aden just joined our staff after teaching science in a public school. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and is currently working on her Early Childhood Education certificate. She loves the zest for life that the children have.

Ms. Jasmine, Prekindergarten Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Jasmine has been teaching children for the past five years and holds her Master Teacher permit. She came to us last summer after working with children ages two and four. She loves watching children explore and grow.

Ms. Alison, Prekindergarten Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Alison has been teaching prekindergarten for the past 11 years. She joined our team last year coming from teaching another prekindergarten class. She loves that she gets the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and instill in them a love of learning.

Ms. Jody, Kindergarten and Learning Adventures Classrooms

Bio:

Ms. Jody has worked in the kindergarten program for over five years. Her favorite part is getting new faces in September and seeing the children grow throughout the year. She uses her Bachelor's Degree in Communication to bring out the best in each lesson to be sure all the children are ready for first grade socially, educationally, emotionally, and physically.

Previous Experience:

Prior to starting at KinderCare Ms. Jody was an editor for a Bay Area Parent magazine for five years.

Ms. Kayla, Kindergarten Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Kayla has been teaching young children for the past four years, coming to us last year after student teaching in public schools. She has her Bachelor’s Degree and her Early Childhood Education certificate. She enjoys teaching Kindergarten because she loves having the children come in the beginning of the year and watching them grow and develop and knowing they are ready to go off to first grade.

Ms. Orieli, Support Teacher

Bio:

Ms. Orieli has a teacher with KinderCare for the past year. She has her Early Childhood Education certificate. She loves having fun with the children.

Ms. Patricia, Support Teacher

Bio:

Ms. Patricia has been with the company for the past five years. She has been working with children for the past eight years and has her Associate’s Degree. She loves watching the children enjoy what they are learning.

Ms. Anela, Support Teacher

Bio:

Ms. Anela joined our team last year after being a nanny for eight years. Ms. Anela has her Associate’s Degree in Liberal Studies and is currently working on achieving her Early Childhood Education certificate as well as her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. She loves watching the kids grow.
