Here at our Norcross KinderCare we take pride in the fact that our teacher have been with this particular center or the company for a number of years. With that, our teachers know our families and build great relationships, we are not just taking care of children, we are growing a family.
The teachers and staff at our center are passionate about educating and nurturing children. Our teachers have an average tenure of two years at our center and average five years in the early childhood education industry. The majority of our teachers have their Child Development Associate's credential, Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education. We strive for excellence though continuing out education from biannual company professional development trainings to seeking additional college coursed or trainings in the education field.
Angela Ellies, Center Director
Bio:
Angela Ellies started with KinderCare in 1995. She has experience as a Georgia Prekindergarten Lead Teacher, Staff Trainer, Assistant Director and Health & Safety Coordinator with KinderCare. Currently she enjoys having the opportunity to support children, their families and teachers here at the center to provide the best educational foundation. Angela began her career with KinderCare in Murfreeboro, Tennessee where she started out as a two-year-old teacher then moving her way up to Assistant Center Director then Center Director.
Previous Experience:
Angela previously held experience in the childcare industry as general manager of four childcare centers, Georgia Prekindergarten Resource Coordinator, staff trainer, Assistant Director, Curriculum Specialist, Health & Safety Coordinator, two-year-old teacher, Georgia Lead Prekindergarten Teacher and Owner Operator of a Summer Camp Program.
Ms. Sarah, Infant Classroom
Ms. Debra, Infant Classroom
Bio:
Ms. Debra has been an employee at KinderCare Learning Center for five years. She attended The University of the District of Columbia, in Washington, DC for two years. Ms. Debra loves reading, singing nursery rhymes and doing puppet shows with her infants. She finds it to be very interesting to them, and it fills her heart with joy. They love listening to music. Even though each child is on a different developmental stage of growth, she feels it is a beautiful thing to watch them develop.
Previous Experience:
Ms. Debra's previous experience includes working as an Administrative Assistant for Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC.

Ms. Gifty, Discovery Preschool Classroom
Bio:
Ms. Gifty has been working with KinderCare for eight years. She loves the early foundation curriculum because it focuses on the growth of the whole child. She graduated high school in 1993. Later, Ms. Gifty attended Middle Sex County Technical School to obtain her Cosmologist license, and Medical Career Institute where she received her Health Unit Coordinator certificate. She moved to Georgia in 2000, discovered her true calling and developed a passion for teaching. Ms. Gifty's goal and focus is on developing the whole child and teaching them the essential skills needed for school. She has 10 years of Early Childhood Education trainings and workshop experience, and she obtained my Child Development Associate's credential at Ellis University, which qualifies her to work with young children. She is looking forward to continuing her education in Early Childhood in the near future.
Previous Experience:
Ms. Gifty has over 10 years experience in teaching and customer service for leading educational, financial, and health organizations.

Bio:
Ms. Shari has been with this center since August 2012. One of the things she enjoys most is letting the children be themselves and explore their surroundings. Sometimes she and her students seem to be doing unusual or unexpected things, but it is all part of learning.
Previous Experience:
Ms. Shari was previously a Head Start teacher.

Ms. Dena, Cook
Bio:
Ms. Dena has been with KinderCare Learning Center since December 2012. She is a grandmother of four grandchildren, who she adores. She has worked with children from the age of fourteen in her church, where she began working with infants and prekindergarten children.
Previous Experience:
Ms. Dena cooked for residential mentally challenged students.
