Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Private Kindergarten Programs (5 – 6 Years)

As children reach school age, our comprehensive full-day kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate, and create – all in a nurturing, small-class setting. Our team of expert educators has created a unique curriculum of reading, language, arts, math, science, and physical fitness that’s presented in a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of learning. Plus, our program is aligned with local and state elementary school standards, so children will be prepared to confidently enter first grade.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Active Adventures

Teachers & Staff

Our teachers have over 190 years of experience caring for children. It is our goal to make a positive difference in every child's life when they are here at KinderCare. Our teachers understand the meaning of education and are able to make learning fun and exciting! At Mundelein Meadows KinderCare, each teacher strives to create a learning environment that stimulates social, emotional, and academic development while creating a lasting love for learning.

  • Ms. Linda

Ms. Linda, Floating Teacher, Bus Driver

Get down to the children's level and communicate and listen to their needs. Sometimes you have to go out of the box and let their imagination guide the children to answers. There is no right or wrong, each child is brilliant in their own creative way.

Ms. Linda has been with KinderCare since August of 1991. She worked with children prior to her present position for four years as an aide in the public schools. In addition to working with children at KinderCare, Ms. Linda enjoys teaching piano lessons to both children and adults. Initially, she was hired as a School Age teacher where she would strive to bring out creative thinking in the children. Ms. Linda believes that it is so important for children to realize how to speak for themselves and not be afraid to express their feelings. Her goal was for the children to be able to express themselves through words, imagination and thinking. Throughout the years, she's had many opportunities to teach in various classrooms at KinderCare. Ms. Linda found that she greatly enjoys having an impact on the lives of children at any age. Currently, she loves driving the bus to all of our local public schools. She is amazed at all the fun they have while she is safely getting children to and from school. The inside of her bus is decorated by artwork from children from years past to the present. Ms. Linda takes great pride in knowing that she is a part of our School Age children's daily lives!

Health and Safety

We take the safety of all the children in our care very seriously at our school. From daily parent and teacher sign in, to strict parent or guardian identification and single keypad access, we maintain a rigorous standard for safety so that our families can have true piece of mind. Maintaining a healthy and clean environment is of utmost importance. Our teachers are very proud to keep their classrooms clean by using a cleaning checklist daily. After hours, we also have the support of a professional cleaning crew. Our school has a designated person to make sure that all health and safety rules and policies are being followed. This Health and Safety Coordinator provides training and follows a monthly safety calendar to ensure that each classroom is up to date. We ask that our families help keep all children safe and healthy by only bringing well children to school and picking up promptly if children show illness symptoms at school. We work together as a team to maintain a safe and healthy environment of all of our children. Please call our school to get more information. We look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you may have.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

Our son was at a different daycare (not affiliated to KinderCare) and we decided to pull him due to the lack of curriculum as well as safety concerns.  In so many words, this other daycare was a nightmare and it crushed us every day that we left him.  You trust people to take care of your child and I know for a fact that our son was never properly taken care of there.

We decided to place our son (who is now 3 years old) at KinderCare located at 800 S. Route 83 in Mundelein. We met with the center director (Jessica) and all the teachers in the building. We love that this location is small. It is cozy and I feel they are able to focus on each child. My son’s teachers Ms. Joann and Ms. Lizette are amazing. They worked extremely hard to earn my son’s trust.  They are patient, caring and nurturing. I love the curriculum and daily communication.  I love that they have parent/teacher conferences!  Our son is actually learning! Something he never did at his other daycare! I love that he is learning to socialize with the other children and more so- loving it!

My KinderCare story:
I received a phone call from the Center Director. She was calm and collect and assured me that my son was okay. She notified me that they discovered a food allergy during lunch. Our son took one bite of his lunch and instantly broke out into hives. With my permission, Jessica called for an ambulance to take our son to the emergency room. I was half an hour away but to a parent, it felt like days. I arrived at the hospital to find that Ms. Joann and Jessica were there with him. Ms. Joann rode with our son in the ambulance because he was scared and didn’t want her to leave him. Ms. Joann and Jessica were unbelievably supportive and nurturing to not only my son, but to me and his dad.  Words cannot convey our appreciation for this KinderCare. It is evident that the staff at this center work well together. Kudos to the Assistant Director and the other teachers for filling in during my son’s emergency.  Everyone goes above and beyond for our son.  When he is sick, they take the time to call and check in on him. That is so cool and I don’t know any other place that would do that!

The best feeling is knowing that your child is safe and happy when you can’t be with him. I can honestly say that the staff sincerely love and care about the children.

- Mother

We had a very hard time finding someone or a place that we could trust to watch our son while we were at work.  After driving by this location many times we finally decided to visit.  We could not be happier with Jessica and her staff.  Every day our son attends he is always happy.  They provide TLC when needed or even just because.  We are so glad we found a great place for our son to attend daycare and cannot wait to see and hear about what he has learned or accomplished during the day.

- Parents

It’s important to us that the people who take care of and teach our children during the day feel like an extended part of our own family. I’ve found that quality in Jessica and her staff at Mundelein KinderCare. They treat our children as if they were their own, keep us informed of their progress with daily updates, and have a well-structured, robust educational environment. We’re thrilled that our kids are so happy at Mundelein KinderCare!

- Parents

Our family has had the privilege of your kindness and nurturing ways for over twelve years. The education that you have given my children has made them better, stronger and prepared for greatness. Each teacher that has been a part of their school experience has left a lasting impact on them, and for that I am forever grateful.

- Father

Nicole and her staff members at Mundelein Meadows KinderCare are simply amazing! Ever since we started at Mundelein Meadows KinderCare, we have been delighted with the team. Our children's happiness at drop-off and pick-up remind us why we feel so fortunate to have our kids there every week!

- Parents

I am constantly amazed walking into my child's classroom. There are so many pictures of him actively engaged in learning activities and having fun! The teachers are always friendly and keep me updated on my son's day. I feel comfortable talking to everyone at KinderCare and know that my son is happy, loved and educated while at school.

- Father

We have really enjoyed Max's time at KinderCare. He loves his friends and teachers. You have great a great staff!
