Our staff are all highly educated in the Field of Early Childhood Education and are dedicated to learning the most current best practices in teaching our young children.
Kathryn Collins, Center Director
Bio:
Kathryn has been at KinderCare Mountain View since June, 2011. She has worked in child care for the last seven years in school settings varying from School-Age centers to Preschool. Kathryn has a degree in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University as well as her Masters in Educational Administration from National University. She is a passionate life long learner, who loves to spend time with each of the children and watch them grow and learn new things everyday.
Previous Experience:
Kathryn has had teaching experience in a number of different child care settings, from School-Age to Montessori based Preschool.

Whitney Smith, Assistant Director
Bio:
Ms. Whitney has worked at KinderCare Mountain View since February, 2010. She started at the center as a Preschool teacher, then Pre-Kindergarten teacher, and most recently is now the Assistant Director! Ms. Whitney graduated from San Francisco State University in 2009 with her degree in Child and Adolescent Development. She continued her education in the field of Early Childhood Education at DeAnza College; graduating in 2006 with an Associate in Arts Degree in Liberal Studies. Ms. Whitney is a very creative, hands-on teacher who loves to play with the children and spend her time on their level. She loves creating new and different activities for the children to complete and she loves to see the children smile!
Previous Experience:
Whitney has worked with children ranging from Preschool age to School-age. She has worked as a camp couselor to School-age children and has also worked with Preschool to Pre-Kindergarten aged children.
