Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

We love love love this location and all of the staff! Our son started in the Preschool room and loved every minute of it until his last day. We just put our youngest in the Infant room this year. Every teacher and staff member is so sweet and cares about you and your child. We are so grateful and blessed every day to know that our kids are well taken care of, having a great time and LEARNING! Our son started Kindergarten this year and he already knows a lot of what they are learning. He learned it all from his teachers at KinderCare.

I would like to compliment my child's teachers. Ms. Angelina, Ms. Lindsay, Ms. Amy, and Ms. Nicole are fabulous. My child does not speak English at home very well. These teachers have been a phenomenal in teaching my child not only English, but her letters and numbers. These teachers have really taken the time to make a difference in my child's life. I am very happy that these teachers are in my child life.

- Parent

I just wanted to write to you and tell you what a great job this location has done with my daughter. I had to put my daughter in daycare after her mom passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 39 and our daughter, Joanna was 3. I had to go back to work and you can imagine my anxiety about leaving my daughter at a daycare. She first entered the Preschool room with Ms. Karen. What a lovely teacher and person. She made Joanna feel right at home and Joanna was often upset when I first left her but Ms. Karen would sooth and calm her down. I just can't say enough good things about her. Her room was always well ran, the children were happy and things were always clean. My anxiety went away and Joanna would often ask why she can't see Ms. Karen on the weekends? She absolutely loved all the activities!

Joanna then progressed to the PreKindergarten room where she got to be with Ms. Lindsay and Ms. Angelina. The two women just love children and it shows. I never saw them in a bad mood and they were always eager to spend time with the children. Joanna fell in love with both these teachers and would often get upset with me when I picked her up early! She loved the parents night out where she got to stay in the evenings while I got to go on a date!

I cant say enough good things about Ms. Shannon, Ms. Melissa and Ms. Amy. They run an efficient school and I really enjoyed the fact that Joanna could partake in extra activities, like yoga, athletic activities, and field trips. She loved going to the pet store! Ms. Lindsay worked very hard with her on her phonics and her speech had improved so much!

In closing, I am very sad to leave but we relocated to California. I would highly recommend this school to anyone!

November 2011 “We are drafting this letter to express our deepest appreciation for the staff at the KinderCare located at 2600 Lake Sahara Drive , Las Vegas, Nevada 89117. Our child was having difficulties at another well known child care facility, and my wife and I made the decision to move him to another child care facility. After researching and visiting numerous facilities, we decided on the KinderCare center on Lake Sahara Drive. This was the BEST decision we made. Melissa and Shannon, as well as the rest of the staff welcomed our son with open arms. Through their efforts, our son went from having difficulties with not listening and being disruptive, to becoming a great kid! My wife and I had so much anxiety every single day that our son was at the previous location that it was causing us stress while we were at work. When we brought our son to KinderCare, Melissa and Shannon put us completely at ease and alleviated our stress! They spent the time and energy necessary to “undue” the issues created at the previous facility and turned him around. Our son has now transitioned to Kindergarten in the public school system and is doing outstanding! We can honestly say that if it were not for the caring staff at KinderCare that we do not believe that our son would have made such an easy transition and certainly would not be doing well as he is. Our son has turned into a model student! Please extend our sincere gratitude to Melissa, Shannon and the entire staff. Words can not convey what a special group of people you have working at this KinderCare facility. Very Sincerely, Jack and Noreen C.

January 2011 "I just wanted to take a minute to let you know what great people you have working at the KinderCare at The Lakes in Las Vegas. My daughter was admitted to the hospital last week and when I called to let the center know she wouldn't be there for a while, Melissa was very concerned and asked if there was anything they could do to help. Then a few days later they called and asked if they could visit my daughter in the hospital. Melissa and Shannon showed up with a card, a balloon and a hand made poster with hand prints of all my daughters classmates that said get well soon. That made myself and my wife cry a little just to know that they actually care about the children and it's not "just a job". Melissa, Shannon and the rest of the staff at KinderCare are great and when people asked me about my Daycare I always told them it was really good- now I will tell them it is great! Thank you so much Melissa and Shannon for doing such a great job! The Bonikowski Family Steve, Maryann and Stevie

August 2012 "We just wanted to say a very heart felt Thank You for running such a wonderful school. Samuel came to KinderCare a little unsure and scared, but you took such good care of him and he has grown into a confident and happy four-year-old. He (and we) has loved his time with you and will have fond memories with him. We continue our journey with you with Elliot and we look forward to the year ahead. Love, Kelly and Stuart M.

August 2012 "We really want to thank you for giving Sofia such an awesome experience at KinderCare. We really weren’t sure what we were getting into when we started there, but you all exceeded any expectations we could have ever imagined. Every classroom Sofia went to was so special for her. She really made a special bond with the teachers in every one of her rooms and spoke about you all the time at home. You were all such an important part of her development and she wouldn’t be the person she is, and is becoming, without you all. She always blew our mind with the stuff she would learn there, be it a song or a big word or a funny saying or some cool knowledge. We truly appreciate everything you guys have done for Sofia and for us, and it’s bittersweet to see her move on to the next chapter of her life. We are so happy and proud to see her grow, but we know we will miss the experiences Sofia has had at KinderCare. One thing is for certain, she is very well prepared for the next chapter of her life and much of that is thanks to you. Sincerely, Dan and Regina Simmons
