AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Monthly Activities

February's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Feelings + The Farm

This month, infants and toddlers will explore a very important aspect of human development: feelings. Babies are just beginning to develop a sense of who they are in relation to others, while toddlers are learning how to interact with those around them. Feelings are integral to human interaction, so activities will focus on identifying emotions (like happy, sad, and mad). We’ll read books, paint a mural, sing songs, and play games related to emotions and how we express them.

The children in Discovery Preschool will take their learning to the farm! Farms are filled with so many science- and social science-based learning opportunities that children love. They’ll learn all about barns and farming equipment, which animals are raised on a farm, and which crops are grown there, too.

Children 4–5 years old: Occupations and Dinosaurs

The older children in Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten will spend time on two very popular themes: occupations and (roar!) dinosaurs. We’ll focus on learning about jobs that help people, like doctors, and those that inspire, like artists and musicians. As children learn about these occupations, they’ll play dress up, invent things, create charts and graphs, and learn the Spanish words for different jobs. The dinosaur unit gives them a chance to learn more about these fascinating giant creatures, learn about fossils, explore volcanoes, and do math puzzles with pretend dino eggs!

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Teachers & Staff

Understanding the magic of teaching Infants through School Age children is a passion that unravels under one's eyes. Teachers and staff at Gilbert KinderCare nurture and educate the children they have under their care. Their caring nature helps making children feel like home while helping them discover the mysteries of reading, writing, art, science and social skills. Using all opportunities to search for teachable moments that highlight a child's learning throughout our program is crucial, which is why their teaching plays an important role toward developing the whole child.

The best teachers are those who show you where to look but don't tell you what to see. Alexandra K. Trenfor

Where do I start? I thought I was going to be a star center-fielder for the Boston Red Sox one day. That was before I struck out 76 times and recorded one hit in my first season of little league. Plan B was to make the world as happy a place for as many kids possible. That is why I love working at KinderCare. I grew up near Boston and moved to Arizona in 1992 to attend school at ASU. I'm married to my best friend, Heather, and have two beautiful children Cobey (13) and Lily (10). I love coffee, sports and socializing (always the life of the party) I can cook. I love to read. I can't fix anything. But my favorite thing about myself is being able to talk with a stranger like we've been lifelong friends. My day is complete if I can get one child to smile and laugh.

If you were asked to describe your favorite teacher, it may sound a lot like Ms. Miesha. She is kind, patient and very nurturing. Her classroom is the perfect setting to learn routine, structure and social skills. Her personality and passion for children help to open the door to discovery and wonder. Our parents rave about Ms. Miesha and the extra little things she does to make their experience at KinderCare memorable.

She and Ms. Jackie work very well together to provide a safe, stimulating, engaging place for our twos to more carefully observe their world and nourish their active minds.Ms. Rayven lights up when children smile and her enthusiasm for learning is infectious. Ms. Letty loves the challenge of working with children and is truly passionate about helping them build the skills and confidence needed to excel in Kindergarten and beyond. Her understanding of curriculum and child development is impressive and the results are inarguable. Identifying areas that children struggle is a professional area of strength for Ms. Letty and her mind immediately seeks ways to help. She starts by teaching them to see that mistakes are just part of learning and growing, always emphasizing their successes and applauding their effort. Ms Letty is a wonderful person, who selflessly spends her time outside of work helping others live happier, brighter days.

As optimistic a person as I've met with a big heart and tremendous zest for life, Ms. Eldonna is the perfect teacher and role model for our school-age students. She appreciates the little things and brings a fresh perspective to everyone she interacts with. She believes a good classroom teacher should provide structure and establish routine, yet be flexible enough to allow students the opportunity to take possession of their learning and revel in their discovery. Health and Safety

Our children's health and safety is a priority for us here at Gilbert/Warner KinderCare. A fenced perimeter with locked gates and code-lock entry prevent unauthorized entries from occurring. We pride ourselves with the cleanliness of our school and our Health and Safety Coordinator Morgen would be the first to vouch for it.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

After being un happy at 2 other schools, I came to this Gilbert KinderCare.  I thought the Director Melissa was extremely helpful and kind. We decided to enroll our 2 kids into the school. I could not be happier. My son who is 3 who struggled with potty training is now 100% potty trained. My 4 year old daughter who has struggled with speech is now reading! In the short 3 months we have been at this school we have seen amazing things happen in our childrens lives! I completely recommend this school.

- Mother

I just wanted to speak out and how great of a job Melissa Giboyeaux is doing at the Gilbert Road KinderCare in Gilbert, Arizona. Ever since she started with KinderCare, she has been so easy to talk to about any issues. She has been going that extra mile to help my son feel comfortable when being dropped off in the mornings. She always has a warm welcome for parents to come into her office and talk to her. She has even taken the time to contact me on how my son is doing when it has been a difficult morning drop-off. As a mother, I want my son to feel welcomed and comfortable in the mornings when being dropped off and Melissa has given me different options to ensure my son is happy. As a parent, I really appreciate her efforts and communication. Great job!

- Mother

My two girls attend KinderCare in Gilbert. We have only been here for a short time. I must say this school is amazing. The two Directors are helpful when you have a question and they are very nice. Yesterday we were all given dinner to go: pizza, cookies, and juices, really!! This goes above and beyond. I really feel like we chose the right school. Ms. Lahaina in my daughter's class is also amazing. She is teaching my daughter skills to get her ready for Kindergarten. I don't know much about daycare but I can say this is more of a school than anything! I want to thank the staff and Directors at this school for making my daughters and my family feel like we are part of their family. I will recommend KinderCare over and over again!
