Anansa Archer, Center Director
Bio:
Ms. Anansa first began her journey with KinderCare in 2008. Starting off as a Prekindergarten teacher, Anansa was a passionate teacher, dedicated to making a positive impact on the children in her care. After several months, she took over as the Learning Adventures teacher, teaching Phonics, Music, Math, and Spanish. During that time, she also took on the role of the Program Specialist, assisting her co-workers with curriculum implementation. In 2010, Ms. Anansa was then promoted to Assistant Director. She performed as the Assistant Director at centers in Woodbridge, Manassas, and Burke, Virginia, before accepting her current position as Center Director in January 2013. Having such growth within the company has provided her with a great deal of knowledge and experience to have a lasting positive impact on the children, families, and staff. Ms. Anansa genuinely loves being a part of the KinderCare team and hopes to continue influencing every child's success. Prior to beginning her KinderCare career, Ms. Anansa graduated from Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Virgina with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She is currently working on her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and plans to finalize her graduate studies obtaining her Psychological Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. When she is not working or studying, Ms. Anansa enjoys spending her free time cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and meditating.
Previous Experience:
During her college undergraduate studies, Anansa maintained a Desk Assistant position with Old Dominion University's Housing Department in Norfolk, Virginia. While at home during breaks, she worked as a Summer Camp Counselor and Lead Teacher for a local private school.
