Tuition Benefit Savings Guide

Here are three simple steps to start saving on child care:

Find a KinderCare Learning Center or Champions Site.
Contact the KinderCare center director or Champions site director at the location where you’d like to enroll your child.
Provide the center or site director with your Pepperdine University employee or student ID.

Remember: This offer is available if you’re enrolling for the first time or if you’re a current KinderCare or Champions family!

Tuition Benefits

Tuition rates and operating hours vary by location. Contact a center or site directly for specific program information, to verify participation in the tuition benefit program, and to schedule a tour.

In many of our centers, family discounts apply to families who have two or more actively enrolled children with two or more tuition charges for the week the discount is granted. The child with the lowest tuition charge for the week will receive a discount off their gross tuition. In a family with three or more children, the child with the highest tuition charge is not granted a discount, and remaining children receive a discount off their gross tuition. Your center team can provide details on discount policies.

You can enroll at any time. If the center or site does not have available space for your child, you will be placed on a waitlist. Contact the center or site of your choice directly for information about space availability and waitlist procedures.

A current employee/student identification card or a current paystub is acceptable proof. You may black out private information when submitting a copy of your paystub. Proof of employment/student status will be validated annually.

Our Tuition Benefit program is applicable for any children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old of whom you have legal custody.*

Only one recurring tuition benefit can be applied to a family’s account. Families who qualify for more than one tuition benefit offer will be allowed to choose the best one for them. Some restrictions apply, so speak with the center director at your preferred location for details.

When you contact the center, let them know that you are eligible for tuition benefits through Pepperdine University. Upon enrollment, your center director will ask you to provide a pay stub or employee/student ID to verify that you are eligible for the benefit. By the next billing cycle, the savings will be applied to your tuition.

When dropping your child off at a center for their first day, or for a Back-up Care day, you’re welcome to spend extra time in the classroom to help your child ease into their new environment. Leaving without a goodbye or delaying your departure can cause anxiety for your child. So, when you’re ready, tell your child you’re leaving, set expectations for who will pick them up and when, say a positive goodbye, and set off for the rest of your day! We welcome you to call the center anytime to speak with the center director.

To begin saving, employees and students must present proof of eligibility with Pepperdine University and request to join the program. Tuition Benefit savings cannot be predated or retroactively applied. These discounts may not be combined with any other tuition discounts, although employees and students may select the most favorable discount. Offer is non-transferable, has no cash value, and is subject to age acceptance. Not all centers may participate. Enrollment is provided on a space-available basis as determined by the centers.
