AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited - nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Buena Park KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step: kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language, math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication, and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math, science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program. From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we have the data to prove it.)

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with the Spanish language. Music, games, children's Spanish literature, and other tools give children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do amazing things!

Our Teachers

We're the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn't enough though. KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply, we love our teachers and your child will, too.

  • Hello Prospective Parents! My daughter and I moved to Cerritos, California from Tampa, Florida in November 2012. KinderCare made moving to California a smooth adjustment for us by helping us transferring all the necessary paperwork. When I first came to KinderCare, the staff was friendly, accommodating, and supportive of my daughter’s transition. At first, she asked for her old teachers, but she’s well-adjusted now. In December, the students have an annual Winter Gala. Watching my daughter sing and dance brought back childhood memories of when I used to dance and sing songs on stage They also create special projects for holidays such as Thanksgiving, New Years, and much more. She loves arts and crafts, using scissors, and kneading play-dough. She’s developed her fine motor skills, and it puts smiles on my face when I see art projects and improvements weekly. Every day, my daughter surprises me with something new she learned in school. In the car, she sings songs that naturally help her learn the days of the week, counting, seasons, etc. It shocks me when I see that she’s already tracing letters in school! The school teaches her geometric shapes, telling time, and much more. One of the most important factors to me as a parent was making sure my child gets proper nutrition at school so it is one less thing I need to worry about. I’ve observed that their overall menu is healthy and balances the four food groups. I also see the children playing outside and getting a lot of physical exercise. When the parents and teacher work together, it’s much easier for the child to grow and develop. KinderCare has helped define the important values in learning, thriving academically, and socially. (KinderCare also has 6:30-6:30 extended hours for parents that need it.)

  • KinderCare is #1!! My family and I love KinderCare! The staff is very loving and dedicated. They treat each child as if they were their own. Catering to the individual needs of each student. My children are nine and two. I like that KinderCare keeps my children in age appropriate classrooms. So that the learning experience is unique to each one. The staff also takes input as to the activities my older one is interested in. They really listen, which makes the learning more enjoyable for my daughter. We Love KinderCare!!

  • How do I love Kindercare? Let me count the ways… At KinderCare Buena Park, both children and parents have a sense of community. Children different ages have meals together so they can learn from each other, “chat,” make friends, and share experiences. This way they are aware of the big events in their little friends’ lives. My toddler daughter has friends both in and out of her age group! Several times a year, children have parties to celebrate different themes together (Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, etc.). For such celebrations, parents contribute, on a voluntary basis, goodies and/or desserts for children to share. Everybody has fun during the celebrations! Every person who works at the Buena Park center cares about my daughter’s well-being and development. Most teachers have been with KinderCare for several years. This means that your child sees familiar faces throughout the year(s) she’s here. Even when she transitions to a new age group, chances are your child is already familiar with the “new” teacher. Our center director, Mrs. Cindy Silva, has a “hands-on” approach to work, which makes her effective both with kids and parents. She is committed to keeping the daycare service second to none all throughout the year, and so is her staff. How do I know how my kid is doing? On a daily basis, I get a report with information on meals, diaper changes and activities during her day. If your child is not behaving properly, you’ll also hear about it! The learning topics your child is working on are communicated on the bulletin boards and updated regularly. This way, parents can reinforce such topics at home (if desired) so that the child’s learning process is expanded and accelerated. Three times a year, there is a 15-minute parent-teacher conference during which the primary caregiver discusses with parents the developmental milestones of each child, as well as her behavioral process. Most teachers know my toddler well and have provided to us useful feedback as to how can we support her social development! Indeed, “every day is a learning adventure” at KinderCare. Babies, toddlers and young kids learn by exploring and doing. Most experiences they go through are useful both at the cognitive and emotional level. During the summer, there are “out of the ordinary” activities that children enjoy. I remember my toddler having fun last summer when splashing other children on a Friday Splash Day! And if your child has an artistic mind, this is definitely the place for your little one to paint like a Picasso! Her work will be exhibited on the walls of classrooms and aisles. In a nutshell, I know that my child enjoys her learning experience at KinderCare!

  • I currently have a School Age child in the Buena Park KinderCare. I have nothing but great, awesome, positive things to say about this center. Being an educator and a mother I am very overprotective and picky in the individuals who I can trust to take care of my eight-year-old son. I'm also a former Assistant Director from the South Street KinderCare. So I know the company well and have been working with children from the age of 0-14. So I am a very hard person to please. I know exactly what I'm looking for in a daycare provider. The Buena Park staff has been awesome to my son and I. From the teaching staff to the Assistant Director, Deanna, to the Director, Beatrice, they have been there for my son and I. I can honestly say that this place is my son's second home. All of the employees care and want the best for all the children. Being a single mom and having a full time job I feel the support and confidence in the staff taking care of my child. I could go on and on. I just wanted to take some time out of my busy schedule to let you know what a great job all these individuals are doing.
