SC 2014 Wild Wild West Header

When children head out to learn about the Old West, they’ll experience a few of the things young pioneer children might have experienced too, such as traveling by wagon train and creating shadow puppets for entertainment at night. Other activities include pretending to pan for gold, milking cows, and lassoing cattle. Get ready to saddle up and hit the trail back to the wild, wild west!

Get ready for a wild ride into the Old West, a time when fortunes were made and lost, and legends were created. As children set off to explore the Old West of the 1800’s, they will gain a sense of what it must have been like as pioneers headed west in covered wagons through uncharted territory. Along the trail children will entertain themselves by singing traditional western songs, square-dancing, creating shadow puppets, panning for gold, and making butter the old-fashioned way.
