Give your child an AMAZING Kindergarten experience:         We are now accepting Enrollment applications for our 2014/2015 Fall session of  K-12 Kindergarten Program!

Join Ms. Scheiner Thursday evenings from 5:30- 6pm to learn all about how our new and innovative Kindergarten program with K-12 curriculum is designed to work with fully interactive "Smartboard" technology in order to prepare your child to be a confident first grader. KinderCare's small 14 student class size may limit the amount of spaces we have available, but along with our 9am-3pm class schedule, it allows our fully credentialed teacher Ms. Shreiner more "one on one" time with each child. Ms. Shreiner encourages her students to explore, communicate and create all while learning reading, language arts, creative art, mathematics, science, social studies and physical fitness.

Exciting things are happening here at the Westlake Village Kindercare. Our Spring session is almost here and we're so excited to share with you and your family all that is new here.  Including but not limited to our (on site) Swim lessons, brand new Library / Computer Lab, and amazing freshly restructured Preschool and Pre-kindergarten Curricular programs which introduces Spanish as well as English language skills!  We are also excited to introduce our new K-12 Interactive Kindergarten Program which includes a truly cutting edge curriculum using SMART board technology.   I know that finding the right place — and the right people — to help nurture and educate your child is a big decision. While you have many options, please know that our center has been helping children in the Westlake Village area learn and grow for many years; I’m confident we could make your family’s experience a great one. It would be my pleasure to have you tour our center in the next couple of days. Please contact me to schedule your visit. I look forward to meeting your family and introducing you to ours.

Our Programs

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Private Kindergarten Programs (5 – 6 Years)

As children reach school age, our comprehensive full-day kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate, and create – all in a nurturing, small-class setting. Our team of expert educators has created a unique curriculum of reading, language, arts, math, science, and physical fitness that’s presented in a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of learning. Plus, our program is aligned with local and state elementary school standards, so children will be prepared to confidently enter first grade.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Interactive Kindergarten (5 - 6 Years)

A full-day interactive Kindergarten program that utilizes new curriculum with an interactive smart board making first grade readiness a priority.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with the Spanish language. Music, games, children's Spanish literature, and other tools give children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language for vocabulary and conversational development. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, body parts and pets as well as how to get engage conversationally during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo. I enrolled my son at Westlake Village, California KinderCare. He is two years old. It was the best thing ever. All the staff was very welcoming and supportive. I'm a single mom and my son has asthma and bad allergies. They reassured me and where so helpful. The Center Director, Bonnie Gregory, does an amazing job. The center is always clean and secure. All the teachers and staff are very welcoming, it felt like family. Ms. Itzie, one of the teachers, helped my son and myself to feel welcomed. I never had to worry or stress I knew that my son was being cared for and loved. Also Ms. Crystal took excellent care of my son and provided him with love and the chance to develop and grow. Bonnie was very helpful and resourceful answering all my questions and concerns. I'm so happy and grateful that I found such a positive environment for my son to grow learn and be safe. I can work and not worry at all. Would highly recommend this center Great job Bonnie!

- Mother

Bonnie & Carol,
Below is an Email I got from Zimran's Kindergarten teacher he is receiving an award next week. I directly contribute this award to the fabulous teaching of Mrs. Padhi, and Mrs. Loyd! Please pass on how proud we are of him and thanks to all the teachers and staff at Kindercare for making Kindergarten a breeze for Zimran! He gets his homework done so quick that we have had to ask for extra homework which he loves, he thinks he is so smart. And tell Mrs. Padhi that his Kindergarten teacher is highly impressed on how well he can count money!!
Thanks again,
Shannon Baquar
Dear Mr. & Mrs.B,

I hope to see you there!
Have a Wonderful week!

- Mother

Having kept our daughter S. at home until she was 3.5 we were very picky when deciding where to take her to begin school. We toured over a dozen "preschools/care centers" in the Conejo Valley and after seeing cheap and outrageously expensive centers we decided on KinderCare in WLV. Our daughter has been there over a year now and this has been the greatest experience of her life. She has grown and learned so much in a short time. Over this summer she has learned how to swim on her own, dive and retrieve items deep in the pool. The center director Ms. Bonnie is excellent along with Ms. Carroll, Ms. Padhi, Ms. Geeta. All the teachers care for the children and exhibit a calm demeanor even with the most unruly children. The curriculum is excellent and my daughter is using words and writing excellently. If you are looking a Pre-k/Day care center definitely check them out. They are not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but they are a caring, learning environment where each day brings new adventures. They develop great balanced, well educated, well mannered children.
