Welcome

My name is Heather Watson and I am the Center Director at the Suwanee KinderCare. My team and I are dedicated to providing the most fun and safe learning environment for the children in our care. We have a family-involved center with dedicated long term teachers. We have spacious classrooms with a lot of natural light. Our classes are warm and inviting so the children feel at home while in our care. We also have three separate playgrounds: one for the toddlers & two’s and two for the three’s and up. We have daily communication forms and value ongoing open communication with our families. Our center is located on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd. near Interstate 85. We would love for you to come by anytime for a visit!

AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Monthly Activities

February's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Feelings + The Farm

This month, infants and toddlers will explore a very important aspect of human development: feelings. Babies are just beginning to develop a sense of who they are in relation to others, while toddlers are learning how to interact with those around them. Feelings are integral to human interaction, so activities will focus on identifying emotions (like happy, sad, and mad). We’ll read books, paint a mural, sing songs, and play games related to emotions and how we express them.

The children in Discovery Preschool will take their learning to the farm! Farms are filled with so many science- and social science-based learning opportunities that children love. They’ll learn all about barns and farming equipment, which animals are raised on a farm, and which crops are grown there, too.

Children 4–5 years old: Occupations and Dinosaurs

The older children in Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten will spend time on two very popular themes: occupations and (roar!) dinosaurs. We’ll focus on learning about jobs that help people, like doctors, and those that inspire, like artists and musicians. As children learn about these occupations, they’ll play dress up, invent things, create charts and graphs, and learn the Spanish words for different jobs. The dinosaur unit gives them a chance to learn more about these fascinating giant creatures, learn about fossils, explore volcanoes, and do math puzzles with pretend dino eggs!

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Teachers & Staff

Our highly qualified staff is like one big extended family. And, we treat each child and family as an extension of our KinderCare family!  Our teachers are experienced educators who love working with children and are passionate about learning.  In addition, communication with our parents is one of our top priorities.  Your child's teacher will update you daily on your child's fun learning experiences, small steps, or great milestones.  We are excited to partner with you to nurture your child's love of learning!

Health and Safety

We take the safety of our children extremely serious. We have systems in place to ensure the safety of all children. We have an on-site Health & Safety Coordinator, coded door at the entrance, fencing around all the playgrounds, and we talk to our children frequently about the different drills we conduct and why. We always explain to them what they can expect to happen during a drill. We practice all our different drills at least once a month. We are a peanut free facility due to the high increase in peanut allergies. All staff are CPR and First Aid Certified.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

I love that I am able to bring my children for the camps that are offered during my children's breaks. They have fun and learn so much not only academically but also about being part of a community.

- Mother

My daughter and I moved to GA at the end of May for my new job. My child was to be cared for by her grandmother. Life happens and she wasn't able to watch her anymore. I saw Kindercare around the corner from my job. I decided to place my daughter there. When I went was was given a warm welcome from the teachers and management.

I sat and talked with Ms Heather, the director, for a bit and I felt that yes this is the best place for my daughter.
Ms Heather not only has a great staff that cares for the children. She explained what a permissive transfer so my daughter can attend a school where Kindercare could pick her up at school!!!! WOW!!!!!!
Miss Meghan takes the time to help with homework.
It's also very clean. I have never come in that there were unpleasant smells.
Ms Heather and her team do an Wonderfully Awesome Job!!!
A happy stress free mom because of your Kindercare!!!!!

- Mother

My son has been attending KinderCare since he was three months old. He's my first and only child and I had no real experience with babies and toddlers before I had him. The teachers and staff at KinderCare are so great about answering questions and offering suggestions on everything from when to start solid foods to naptime schedules to potty training. They never make me feel silly for asking questions and anytime I want to talk about my son's development with them they are available to listen and give me feedback. The center is always impeccably clean and the staff is so friendly. I know my son is in a nurturing, educational environment while I am at work.

- Mother

Our son started with KinderCare at eight weeks, and we have watched him grow into a vibrant two-year-old with remarkable cognitive, social and physical abilities. This center has a culture of caring and nurturing among its warm and friendly staff. We leave our son each day assured that he will be safe, cared for and have lots of fun learning.

- Parents

My son lights up every morning when we ask him if he's ready to go to school!  The teachers and administrators at our Suwanee KinderCare are all so loving and kind that he races in every morning! He has so many friends and is so proud of the things that his teachers help him create, we couldn't ask for anything better than the loving and supportive environment these wonderful people have created!
