""I beleive all children should be taught the importantance of learning.. I feel that all children need to be given an equal chance to succeed no matter what obstacles may be put before them. As eductors, we should support not only their educational development, but their cognitive, social/emotional, and physical development as well.""

Ms. Tawana is the preschool teacher. In her class they will learn and have lots of fun. They will have plenty of chances to use stencils to trace letters, numbers and shapes. Ms. Tawana's class also will have pencils, crayons and markers for your child to use in the art area. This will help their fine motor development. Her class can get creative and build towers with the blocks and make homes for their babies. She also loves to make huge train tracks for their trains, and to pretend to cook and feed their babies in the dramatic play area. Sitting at the table and enjoying a tea party while getting all dressed up for a special occasion is also a favorite activity. The front board in Ms. Tawana's room is her Parent Communication Board, which has on it her weekly lesson plan, monthly calendar, and the daily schedule. The board next to it has the classroom daily note, which tells parents what her class has worked on during the day. She looks forward to working with your family.
