AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Monthly Activities

February's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Feelings + The Farm

This month, infants and toddlers will explore a very important aspect of human development: feelings. Babies are just beginning to develop a sense of who they are in relation to others, while toddlers are learning how to interact with those around them. Feelings are integral to human interaction, so activities will focus on identifying emotions (like happy, sad, and mad). We’ll read books, paint a mural, sing songs, and play games related to emotions and how we express them.

The children in Discovery Preschool will take their learning to the farm! Farms are filled with so many science- and social science-based learning opportunities that children love. They’ll learn all about barns and farming equipment, which animals are raised on a farm, and which crops are grown there, too.

Children 4–5 years old: Occupations and Dinosaurs

The older children in Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten will spend time on two very popular themes: occupations and (roar!) dinosaurs. We’ll focus on learning about jobs that help people, like doctors, and those that inspire, like artists and musicians. As children learn about these occupations, they’ll play dress up, invent things, create charts and graphs, and learn the Spanish words for different jobs. The dinosaur unit gives them a chance to learn more about these fascinating giant creatures, learn about fossils, explore volcanoes, and do math puzzles with pretend dino eggs!

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Teachers & Staff

The teachers and staff at Phoenix City Square KinderCare welcome you to our school. We are all very passionate about providing the best care and education for your child while you are away at work or school. Each day brings new fun activities and learning at our school and we enjoy the opportunity to be a part of your family's day. We love to watch the children grow and learn and so appreciate sharing that with all of our families. We strive for excellence in all that we do here at the Phoenix City Square KinderCare and look forward to having your child in one of our classrooms.

I was that mom that was horrified of the idea of daycare. I couldn't imagine somebody else watching my baby! After a year when my daughter turned one, I visited tons of daycares in the area. Choosing KinderCare was no-brainer! From the wonderful staff, amazing curriculum, and clean facility, it was the perfect fit! My daughter is almost three years old now and I couldn't be happier with KinderCare! She is such a social butterfly, who enjoys going to class everyday. I love that she has something new to tell me everyday, from a new song, something that happened outside, a new food she tried, knowing she's happy makes me one happy mom. The staff is AMAZING they are truly engaged with my child, and I love how much she has learned! She talks so well for her age and knows more than I ever expected. I know KInderCare was a perfect choice. I truly recommend this place, it changed my view on daycare and I couldn't be happier!

- Mother

By far the best!!! I moved my kids from a prior daycare, I was unhappy until I moved the here!! My kids have improved academically and emotionally since the have been here, the staff is great, the teachers show my kids so much love, I couldn't be happier. Including the location, so convenient for me, easy to get to. Very much recommended to any parent.

- Mother

What an amazing place! My son loves going to school, he hasn't had a day he doesn't want to go. The Teachers and Directors are wonderful. They do the best crock pot cooking classes! It is just a wonderful and warm atmosphere.
