Welcome

Welcome to our Pewaukee KinderCare, where we provide a five-star education. We strive on creating a structured, educational, fun, and safe environment in which your child can grow. It is not only our responsibility; it’s our privilege to make sure your child has the best experience and the strongest foundation possible. Our curriculum is researched and developed so each activity is age-appropriate and tailored to your child’s specific learning needs. From our Infant program all the way up to our School Age program, our children are active participants within their own education. We believe in a balanced approach to learning, giving you the peace of mind that your child will have fun while developing socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. All of our teachers here form a team of child development experts who have a true passion for educating and nurturing children. Each teacher has an education background in early childhood education to ensure they are the absolute best fit in our classrooms, and with your child. Whether your child has first words or first grade on the horizon, we’re here to support you--and we're excited to show you how everything in our center is designed for learning! We would love to have you visit our school while introducing you to our teachers!

AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Teachers & Staff

Our KinderCare Learning Center teachers are passionate about your child's happiness, growth and provide a safe, nurturing environment that cultivates self-esteem. This is more than a job for our teachers...it's an opportunity for them to share their passion for education! Our teachers will inspire, engage, and awaken the wonder inside each and every child. We are proud of the work we do every day and cannot wait to have you join our KinderCare family!

Upcoming Center Activities

August
August's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: All About Me and Dinosaurs
Infants and toddlers will learn all about themselves while kids in Discovery Preschool will take a look at our favorite extinct creatures: dinosaurs! Infants will look at their reflections in mirrors, listen to voices through cardboard tubes to encourage babbling, and practice self-expression as they move while listening to music. Toddlers will create body-related artwork (like paintings of their faces) and imagine the future as they pretend to be all grown up while playing dress-up. Meanwhile, children in Discovery Preschool are in for a “dinomite” time learning all about dinosaurs and their habitats, and they’ll build essential skills through fun, theme-related activities—like counting dinosaur eggs and going on pretend fossil hunts!

Children 4 to 5 years old: Foods and Flavors, Shapes and Colors, and Alphabet Letters/Review
For the first two weeks of August, older children will be learning all about the basic food groups, where food comes from, and how to make healthful food choices. After that, preschoolers will be getting artsy as they explore shapes and colors using materials like blocks, paint, play dough, and colored water—and they’ll even take their knowledge outdoors with scavenger hunts for colors and shapes! Their older friends in Pre-K and Transitional Kindergarten will be getting up close and personal with the alphabet as they learn uppercase and lowercase letters, the sounds the letters make, and how those sounds can be combined to make words—all culminating with the creation of a classroom alphabet book.

Health and Safety

Keeping your child safe and secure is our first priority. Our center is equipped with a locked front door, which only enrolled families have the security code needed to enter. For added safety, this code is changed quarterly. Teachers also ensure security by strictly following established procedures for your child’s arrival and departure, along with face-to-name attendance checks every 30 minutes. All procedures are followed in accordance with Wisconsin child care licensing regulations. All of our staff is CPR and First Aid certified, as well as trained in Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). We value your child’s health and know how important overall cleanliness is. We use EcoLab’s Clean Concept products for cleaning and sanitizing; here the teachers follow a daily cleaning checklist to ensure all areas of the classroom are being cleaned on a regular basis. We also know preventing the spread of infectious diseases is an important and necessary component of quality child care. If a child is recognized as having certain communicable diseases, necessary control measures will be followed, including notifying you of any instances of a contagious disease in the center.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

We have had our child at Pewaukee KinderCare now for over two years. He recently turned five and is bussed over from the Pewaukee school district at noon every day. He really enjoys his time and friends that he has made at the center. The staff work very hard at filling the needs of each and every child as well as considering the parents' desires. We have been very impressed at how hard they work at being professional, but also at being personal. We would strongly recommend this center!

- Parent

We moved to Pewaukee a few months ago and I needed to find a great daycare for my three-year-old. After visiting a couple of places, I checked on Pewaukee KinderCare. My first visit happened on a hectic day (picture day) though everyone was really welcoming for us to join the morning at the center. Everyone was so loving and nice with the kids. I spent two hours with my daughter in the three-year-old class and every game, every moment (even at recess time) was a fun moment of learning. Ms. Danielle and Ms. Yomaira do an awesome work. We were offered on that first visit to stay for lunch and I loved it. My daughter came back another day for a test experience by herself. When I came back to pick her up, she was so happy! She really enjoyed her day. I felt this was the place I was looking for and we joined Pewaukee KinderCare right away. I cannot be happier (and my daughter never wants to leave when it is time to go). On top of everything, during the last couple of months, the center went through a fantastic renovation. It looks beautiful and it really shows off the great job they do with the kids.

- Parent

Our child has been at Pewaukee KinderCare for two years shortly after we moved to Pewaukee, and our second child just joined a few months ago. The experience has been wonderful! Having our son in multiple rooms at KinderCare, every teacher is very welcoming and caring of each child! The atmosphere is very dynamic and exciting! The teachers do a wonderful job at lesson plans--art projects and themes are creative, challenging, and engaging. Our oldest looks forward to the many special activities, such as holiday parties, PJ days, etc.  Our child is so proud of everything made at daycare, and cannot wait to show us what is waiting at the end of the day. We are starting on our second scrapbook of art projects and pictures we receive! We are constantly receiving communication from the teachers regarding how each day went, newsletters on each month's new lessons and activities, and even the occasional phone call during the day for more important items. We cannot stress how much interaction there is between teachers and parents. KinderCare also encourages parent involvement. There are many activities after daycare hours--Parent/Teacher meetings, Winter Gala, Trunk or Treat, Easter Celebration--which really excites the kids. In fact, parents coming in to visit during the day is encouraged. The few times we have had the opportunity to stop in, we've noticed that everyone is happy and excited to be there! There are smiles and laughs all around. We cannot be happier with KinderCare and our experience. Our children are excited to go to KinderCare and look forward to each day!

- Parent

As most working professionals, my wife and I were searching for the best care available for our two kids. After extensive search that began with over-priced and trendy names such as Goddard and local Montessori programs, we ended at KinderCare Learning Center in Pewaukee. We quickly realized that the "boxed learning programs" do not matter as much as the teachers do.

- Father

I wanted to say Happy Teachers' Day to everyone at the center. I have been so pleased over the two years with the care and love that all of the teachers have given my two children. Everyone goes out of their way to talk to the kids and say hello and goodbye…they love the extra attention. The staff has been so helpful in many ways--academically, emotionally, and socially. I hope you know that you all are doing a great job and are very much appreciated by us.
