AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Infants and toddlers will be exploring the wonderful world of water as the children in Discovery Preschool dig into the creepy-crawly world of insects and spiders! Infants will have the chance to practice splashing, scooping, pouring, and playing with bubbles, while toddlers will take a swim on the creative side as they paint with water and create habitats for sea animals. Children in Discovery Preschool will focus on science as they learn about the differences between insects and spiders, how caterpillars turn into butterflies, and how bees pollinate flowers and make honey. Children’s creativity will blossom as they use dried pasta to create butterfly artwork!

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Teachers & Staff

The teachers and staff at 27th Street KinderCare are passionate about educating and nurturing children. We believe strongly that we are more than a daycare; we're a school. Our teachers create an outstanding learning environment for the children and actively engage them in learning all throughout the day. The majority of our teachers have their degrees and continue to strive for excellence through continuing education from bi-annual company professional development trainings, as well as seeking additional college courses or seminars in the education field. At the end of the day, the true key to our teachers' success is their passion for teaching and their love of learning.

    Ms. Danielle, Toddler Classroom

Ms. Danielle was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in Decemeber 11,1980. She has two older brothers and two little sisters. Both parents are very much involved in her life. When she was a kid, around 10 years old, Ms. Danielle loved to play school with her friends in the backyard. She used to take plain white paper and make up worksheets and quizzes for her friends to do. Right then Ms. Danielle knew she wanted to be a teacher. While attending middle and high school, that passion for teaching was still there. When her senior year came, Ms. Danielle started looking at different colleges she'd like to attend, but before she could start applying to any, she received devastating news that her uncle had passed away. She became very depressed and no longer wanted to pursue going to college--so she focused on just working and helping her mom. 12 years have passed since then. Ms. Danielle now has two beautiful children, a daughter who is eight and a son who is three. They are her life. They are the reason why Ms. Danielle decided to finally go for her goal of becoming a teacher. She no longer has to dream, because now her dream has come true.

Health and Safety

The health and safety for all of our children and families is a top priority. Safety starts at the front door at our center with a secure keypad entry system. Only families with the door code may enter through the front door. Anybody at the door without the code cannot enter the building until their identification has been checked. Safety continues throughout the day as the teachers sign the children into their rosters and complete a name-to-face check every 30 minutes to ensure the children's whereabouts. When the children are outside playing, they are on our fenced-in playgrounds and have age-appropriate outside activities to participate in. As you may know, young children (especially infants and toddlers) love to put toys in their mouths. Our teachers do a fantastic job making sure all toys that were mouthed by a child are sanitized before they are put back on the toy shelves to be played with again. Throughout the day, our teachers are always washing their hands and the children's hands, especially before and after eating, after using the restroom or diaper changes, and those messy projects they are participating in. At the end of the day and throughout the day, our teachers complete a cleaning checklist to ensure the classrooms are being properly cleaned and sanitized. We have many children at our center with allergies or special health needs. Our teachers have strong communication with our families about the health needs of the children. We have practices in place if your child has allergies, asthma, or any other health concern, and all of our teachers are certified in CPR and First Aid. We pride ourselves in having strong communication and standards in place to ensure your child is safe and well cared for.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

When I was first looking for child care for my daughter, I was extremely nervous. My daughter was only one year old and had never been away from family. The teachers at 27th Street KinderCare were very caring and made our family feel welcomed from the first time we met them. My daughter started in the Toddler Classroom and now is in the Preschool Classroom. Every day she tells me what she learned and sings me the songs they have learned. When my second daughter was born, I felt confident in enrolling her as well. She is happy and well cared for in the Infant Classroom. I expected to find a child care center, but I found a school and family that helps my children learn every day.

- Mother

As a dad, I am very protective of my daughters and I have three of them who attend the South 27th Street location. What I love most about the center is that I know my girls are safe and having fun. My toddler used to have the hardest time when I dropped her off, and the teachers would show her so much love to help her feel more comfortable. Her teacher would call me less than ten minutes later and I could hear my daughter laughing in the background! I am glad my girls are growing up at KinderCare!

- Father

My son has been at KinderCare for the last two years and we will NEVER need to look elsewhere.  My wife and I are confident in the education and care he is receiving.  Even before we get in the car, he is telling us about his day and what he did with his friends.  We laugh at the photos they send home of the different activities they do; he is always so serious when he is writing or completing an art project. Because of his experience at KinderCare, he will be both academically and socially ready to start Kindergarten soon.
