Welcome to the Lumberton KinderCare. Finding the right place for your child's education and care is a big decision. Our education experts designed our classrooms and our wonderful curriculum, but it is our fabulous teachers that make it special! We help you prepare your child for success in school and beyond. With designated learning centers such as math, literacy and dramatic play, children have the opportunity for rich social play and child initiated discovery.
Our classrooms are print-rich environments full of carefully selected materials, written charts, labels and children's literature. By helping your child connect spoken words and print we are helping develop early literacy and writing skills. Whether your child only has first words or is in Kindergarten, I would love to show you how everything we do is designed for learning.
KinderCare of Lumberton just received accreditation through NAEYC. What does this mean for you? This means that our center goes above and beyond state expectations and meets the National Standards for Early Childhood Education. For more information visit www.naeyc.org.
Our Center is small which allows our staff to focus on individualized attention. Our center has a "family" appeal to it and I would love to make you part of our family. Come in and meet our teachers, see our classrooms and learn more about our center and programs.
We do accept Subsidy and NACCRA!
We offer evening and weekend tours! Call us today to schedule your tour!

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.
Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.
As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.
At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.
As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.
Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.
Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.
Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.
KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.
The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.
Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.
Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.
Your entire family is welcome to join us October 18th for our community social. Come see how family-style dining is done at our center, mingle with other families, and, best of all, enjoy a healthy snack with your child!

The best part of my day is greeting the students in the morning. You can see how incredibly eager they are to fill their minds with something new. I am inspired knowing that our center has the ability to meet their needs on a daily basis.
Kathie earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. She had the opportunity to work with all ages before becoming part of the KinderCare management team.
I make sure that every child, whether they are having a good or bad day, knows they are loved and are important.
Miss Victoria is one of the first smiles you will see in the morning. She is always there to greet you and your child and to get them prepared for their day. For most families, the separation in the mornings is the most difficult part of the day. She is there prepared to make sure everything works out well for both the parents and child. Miss Victoria loves watching the children grow and reach their milestones. She looks forward to seeing what the milestone of the day for each child is going to be whether it is, sitting up, crawling, walking, or talking. You will find that she is always communicating with the families and has both a professional an open relationship with them. She is one who builds great relationships with families. Miss Victoria is always making the children smile! She is proud to say that she works here knowing that she is helping the youngest in our center to grow and develop. She is looking forward to meeting you and your family.
I love being able to make memories with each child I come in contact with. Being able to make a child smile when I walk into a room is a wonderful feeling!

A young child's smile of accomplishment is a great reward.
Ms. Cindi worked for nine years at a private daycare where she was employed as the two-year-old teacher, Infant and Toddler teacher, cook, bus driver, as well as the computer and music instructor. She then moved on to another private preschool where she started their Infant and Toddler program. In the summer Ms. Cindi became the art counselor for the summer camp program.
Helping children learn and succeed in their education is what I'm passionate about. I let the children know I'm always here for them and ready to help. They are our future and I'm here to help prepare them for success.
Miss Kristen has been teaching and assisteing leaders ever since she was a kid herself. At the young age of 11 she got into helping her mom with lesson plans and was her mom's assistant in childrens church. She volunteered her time in the nursery helping with babies and toddlers. Miss Kristen also helped her mom with a summer program every year for kids ages 4 to 12. She helped with crafts and designing the theme. As she grew up she got more involved, becoming a teacher of various classes and age groups. Miss Kristen loves working with children and helping them learn and grow. She loves seeing her children come in with smiling faces and seeing how excited they are to be in class.
Seeing a child have that Aha moment is the best feeling and is what I strive for.
