""One hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in my bank account nor what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a better place because I was important in the life of a child."
Malika only recently began her career at KinderCare Learning Center. She grew up in New Jersey where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Special Education. She holds teaching certificates as a Teacher of the Handicapped and in Elementary Education as well as supervisory certification. She is committed to creating a haven for families and children where they can feel confident and be free to express their creativity and grow their minds. She believes in and supports her teachers who create lifelong learners by teaching children how to think, not what to think.
Malika has been an educator for more than 22 years. She has experience as a classroom teacher (Pre-K - 12th grade, special education, regular education, elementary, middle and high school, self contained, resource/support and inclusion, severely disabled, including Autism, and residential group home care). "My passion is watching the children grow and succeed. I love seeing them walk in every day with a smile on their face, ready for a new day ahead. I love their "ah ha" moments when they finally understand something. I love just seeing them every day and knowing that I am making a difference in their lives."

Ms. Margo has been with KinderCare for the last four years in the Discovery Preschool classroom and most recently with our School Age children. She has found that working with children has made her a better person. She feels that she learns something brand new every day from the children who she works with. They inspired Margo to change her major from Social Work to Early Childhood Education. Children have inspired her to embrace her natural beauty by allowing her hair to be in its natural state. Children have also helped Margo to think outside of the box. It takes a very special and patient person to work in this field and she feels blessed to be one of those people!
