Nichole Woodruff, Center Director

Bio:

Nichole started working in the Early Childhood Education field in March of 2002. She started as the assistant teacher in the toddler classroom and became the group leader after receiving her Child Development Associate's Credential and infant/toddler supervisor certificate. From there, she moved on to be the teacher in the prekindergarten classroom, was an assistant director for four years, and in May of 2010 received her Early Childhood Education School Director Certificate from Red Rocks Community College. In October of 2010, she applied and accepted the directors position at the Green Mountain KinderCare! Nichole lives in Littleton, Colorado with her husband Curt and two boxers Tyson and Laylah. She loves reading, scap-booking, camping and spending as much time as she can with family. Nichole is always looking for ways to improve the quality of care that she and her dedicated team of teachers provide. Please come to her with any questions or concerns as she always has an open door policy!

Ms. Lydia, Toddler Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Lydia is a mother of four beautiful girls who are 22, 19, 11 and eight years old. Ms. Lydia married her husband Andy in June of 2012. She has been with KinderCare for for years. The first thing Ms. Lydia loves to do when she first comes to work is go into her classroom and say good morning to every child individually, especially right after the weekend when she misses them the most.

Previous Experience:

Before starting with KinderCare, Ms. Lydia had worked at other childcare centers in the Lakewood and Denver area.

Ms. Katie, Discovery Preschool Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Katie lives in the Green Mountain area wither her husband Brian and their two great dogs. Ms. Katie went to Warren Tech to complete her early childhood education classes to become group leader qualified. She has been with KinderCare for 8 years and works in the Discovery Preschool classroom. Ms. Katie loves to help families focus on potty training in her classroom to prepare their children for preschool.

Ms. Ashley, Discovery Preschool Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Ashley started with KinderCare in 2010. She has worked for two different centers in the past, but is excited to call the Green Mountain KinderCare her home! Ms. Ashley is currently working towards her group leader qualification and will be fully qualified in March of 2014. Ms. Ashley's plans are to continue her education and become infant and toddler supervisor qualified. Ms. Ashley lives in Lakewood with her boyfriend and all their animals. She loves being around children, dolphins and her favorite color is purple.

Before calling the Green Mountain KinderCare her home, Ms. Ashley worked at a KinderCare center in Aurora.

Ms. Jasmine, Preschool Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Jasmine lives with her beautiful six-year-old son and boyfriend in Lakewood, Colorado. She is currently attending Community College of Denver and talking classes become a occupational therapist. Her preschool class at KinderCare has a wide range of abilities and interests, so she is always thinking of new ways to challenge and engage the children. One of her favorite activities is to let the children express themselves through art by using new materials and letting them explore the world around them.

Ms. Hope, Prekindergarten Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Hope has been working at KinderCare since March 19, 2012. She has a degree in graphic design, with early childhood education classes. Art is a passion for Ms. Hope and is always encouraged in her classroom. She also enjoys helping children learn new languages. Ms. Hope always encourages people to grow, and make their imagination come to life.

Previous Experience:

Prior to joining KinderCare, Ms. Hope worked for the Jefferson County before-and-after-school programs.

Ms. Melissa, Private Kindergarten Classroom

Bio:

Ms. Melissa was born and raised in Maui, Hawaii. She moved to Greeley, Colorado in 2003 to attend college at the university of Northern Colorado and gratuated in 2007 with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Melissa migrated south to Denver to attend the University of Denver and obtained her Master of Arts Degree in Library and Information Science in School Library. Shortly after graduating, Melissa joined KinderCare as a School Age teacher. After two fun years, Ms. Melissa took over the Kindergarten teacher position and is continuing to encourage her students in their learning and nurturing each child's individuality. Ms. Melissa also chairs the annual Green Mountain KinderCare bookfair to help romote the importace of literacy.

Ms. Amy, Cook

Bio:

Ms. Amy was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but grew up in Bogota, Columbia in South America. In 1988 her family moved back to the United States. Ms. Amy attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, studying Educational Administration. In 1997 she married her husband John, and they now have two boys ages 10 and six. Ms. Amy has been with KinderCare for nearly 11 years, working mostly with the school age children.
