Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Teachers & Staff

At Knightdale KinderCare, we work together, learn together, aspire together and laugh together. We gain strength from each other, help each other and most of all empower each other, all of that with one common goal - to make our school the BEST educational environment for children.

There is nothing more rewarding than having the ability to impact children every day of my life.

Courtney has been with KinderCare since October 2001. She relocated to North Carolina in February of 2009. She has been working with children in a variety of settings for over 10 years, starting as a nanny when she graduated high school. Courtney believes all children deserve a chance to receive the best education possible.  Being a part of Knightdale KinderCare has been the most rewarding experience for her.  She has been able to continuously improve the quality of care at this.  From achieving national accreditation to obtaining 5 STARs she sets the bar high for her staff and families.  Building relationships and partnering with the families and community here in Knightdale has been a passion and is evident in the school environment each and everyday.

Just because I drink from a Sippy cup and ride in a car seat, does not mean I'm not opinionated.
Remember, our little ones have feelings too!

Shaneek is new to KinderCare and joined our team in September 2013. Although she is new to KinderCare, she is not a stranger when it comes to working with children. Her love of working with children began in her teen years. While still in High School Shaneek worked as a summer camp counselor. After entering college at Saint Augustine's University she became a Rehabilitation Technician part-time, and learned to work with children with exceptional needs. Shaneek began her professional career in the child care field in 1996 in Raleigh as a classroom teacher. Over the years she has worked as Lead Teacher advising other teachers on class curriculum, and eventually began taking on an office assistant role learning the business side of childcare. This led to an Assistant Director position at a previous learning center in 2010. Shaneek has worked with all age groups ranging from six weeks to twelve years of age. Her dream is to become a Child Care Director.

Ms. La'Shannie, Health and Safety Coordinator

I love working with children, because I know that every child can learn.  It is my respnsibility as an educator to see where each child is developmentally and to set achievable goals for the them to meet while enjoying the ride.

Ms. La'Shannie took a love for education while in the elementary school.  She worked as a substitute teacher in the public school system while attending school at night.  After receiving her Associates Degree, she worked as a Lead Infant/Toddler teacher with Head Start.  She obtained her Bachelors Degree from Ashford University and her Level 3 Administration Credentials from Wake Tech.  La'Shannie was promoted with Head Start as an Education/Disability Specialist and stayed with them for a few more years.  She decided she wanted to be closer to home and her family here in Knightdale and she accepted a position with KinderCare in 2014.  She loves working with the children on their social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language development as she knows this help them build a strong foundation for their future.  She enjoys watching the children learn and develop and takes pride that is her role as an educator.  La'Shannie strives to continue her education and receive her license in specials needs and hopes to one day work with children in an inclusion setting.

Health and Safety

Parents are provided with a code for the keypad entry for safety of our children. Each age group enjoys their own playground that is age-specific and conducive to the growth of each age group's large motor skills. We have a full time Health and Safety Coordinator at our school. She strives to keep the children in our care healthy and safe by conducting monthly fire drills, ensuring every staff member's First Aid, CPR and SIDS training is up to date, performing weekly playground inspections and maintaining the highest cleanliness and sanitation standards.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

I love this center and so do all my children. I know my children are safe and happy here when i cant be with them. The staff is amazing especially Mrs. Brenda she is a truly wonderful all the time. I was initially concerned about care for special needs son, not anymore they take GREAT care of him. When you walk in you can fell the love they have for all the children. My children have been to a few centers before but none like this one.

- Mother

My son started at this center in August 2013. Since he has been here, he has became an open book. His teacher, Ms. Brenda has taught him so many things and how to express himself better than ever before. I am so thankful to have Ms Brenda and the other teachers, who are a part of his learning adventures. This is the best learning center, so I would recommend anyone to bring their child here.

- Mother

My son has been going to KinderCare since 2010. Since the day I dropped him off with Ms. Lina, almost four years ago, I have never had to worry about him, because I know he is in excellent hands. He is now in Ms. Brenda's amazing Preschool class and she is out of this world. I have never met a more enthusiastic and energetic teacher and, being a teacher myself, I have met a lot! The Director, Ms. Courtney has been nothing but helpful and supportive through the years. When I've had questions or concerns in the past she listened and took action. I truly feel that my son is loved, adored and nurtured by all of the staff members (even the cook)!

- Parents

I have been a part of the Kinder Care family since 2010. On my first visit I knew instantly this was the day care for me. I dropped off my then six month old daughter and did not have any concern about her well-being in the capable hands of the staff. My oldest is now three and her sister who is two also attends Kinder Care and has been there since she was four months old. The staff is warm, friendly, caring and nurturing. The staff loves my girls and my girls love them.

- Mother

Since this is our first time being parents, the idea of dropping off our infant at daycare filled us with stress and anxiety. We feel so lucky to have the support and care of all of the staff at KinderCare Knightdale to help me through that transition. The infant teachers show such special attention to each of the babies and our daughter has already shown such positive growth in the two months she has been attending. The constant feedback we receive from the teachers and the daily notes that are sent home makes us feel well informed and a part of her day. We couldn't be happier with our decision to enroll our daughter here!

- Parents

We enrolled our 8 month old son in to the Knightdale Kindercare in April of 2013. Our experience with the center and the staff has been nothing but positive. The infant room is cozy, yet spacious and the infant teachers, Ms.Lina and Ms. Christen, are wonderful. They are always very welcoming and attentive to the children. The Center Director, Courtney, is fabulous! She is readily available to assist parents with questions and always has a smile on her face. Each morning, when my son enters his classroom he lights up, further reassuring me choosing the Knightdale Kindercare was a great decision for our family.
