KinderCare Learning Center located at 3760 North Jackson Avenue in Kansas City is now accepting enrollments for the fall semester. Please contact us today to schedule your tour!

Welcome to our Nationally Accredited Chouteau and Parvin KinderCare! Our school is nestled in a quiet community. Our tenured and educated teachers take pride in ensuring your child is immersed in a loving and nurturing environment that fosters a love of learning. We are more than a daycare and/or child care center: We are a school that has been nationally recognized for providing exceptional curriculum designed to meet each child’s individual needs. According to new data, kindergarten students who experience our high-quality early childhood education were on average four months ahead of their peers nationally. The study was conducted using Terra Nova, a widely used standardized assessment tool. These findings are consistent with other assessments, including previous results from the Maryland Model for School Readiness, which measures the impact that our learning programs have on children. Students enrolled in KinderCare centers for more than one year yielded even higher scores. We invite you to experience the accreditation difference by scheduling a tour at our school.

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Teachers & Staff

The teachers and staff at the Chouteau and Parvin KinderCare are passionate about educating and nurturing children. Our team strives for excellence through the continuing education and opportunities for self-development. They strive to promote a positive learning environment that creates opportunities for meaningful moments and plenty of staff engagement. At the end of the day, the true key to our teachers' success is their passion for teaching and their love of learning.

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Spaces and Places and All About Me
As infants and toddlers explore the spaces and places around them, children in Discovery Preschool will learn all about what makes people the same as well as what makes them different. Infants will experiment with moving toy cars around, build block towers and then knock them down, and even take a tour of the center to see what things are like outside of their classroom! Toddlers will get all revved up as they take a closer look at different vehicles and learn more about neighborhoods, communities, and the jobs that grownups have. In Discovery Preschool, children will be learning about themselves as they play games that strengthen their five senses, discuss feelings and emotions, practice self-help skills, and work on learning the names of body parts.

Children 4 to 5 years old: All About Me and My Home and Family
It’s the beginning of the school year—the perfect time to get to know each other better! Older children will be spending time sharing about themselves, their homes, and their families as they learn what makes people the same and what makes them different. Children will bring their own experiences to the drawing board as they create group stories and 3-D collages about families and homes, pantomime different home- and family-related activities, and draw self-portraits. With our curriculum’s project-related learning component, children in Transitional Kindergarten work together to decide on an individual or whole-group project related to the theme. Past projects have included creating a class book about emotions or working together to build a small-scale home, but who knows—the children may come up with a unique idea that’s entirely their own!

Health and Safety

Safety is our number one priority at Chouteau and Parvin KinderCare. Our front door has a keypad entry system that requires a code for entrance into our center. This code is changed twice a year or more if needed. We also have a secure, fenced-in outside play area where the children can play safely. As the parents or guardians enter, we have a sign-in and sign-out book in the entryway that families are required to fill out at drop-off and pick-up. To ensure that only properly authorized people are picking up the children, we verify photo ID's and compare them to the paperwork that was submitted. In our classrooms, we keep Child Supervision Records, where the teacher checks attendance every half hour and center management reviews a minimum of three times a day. We clean our classrooms and main center areas daily and sanitize the center nightly, following all state and company health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all the children in our care. Each center has a health and safety staff member who makes sure that your children are safe the entire day.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

As new parents, we had no experience with daycares, but being loving parents, we knew what we expected. It was difficult for us to determine what location, what programs, and what overall experience we would want to have with our child care provider. We wanted a place that would be safe, educational, and an overall great place. We were looking for more than just a daycare--an extended family. It was at the Chouteau KinderCare that we found all of this and more. Our son and daughter are being cared for by people who truly care about them and want to see them succeed in life. We love to hear daily about the things that they are experiencing and learning. We appreciate that the teachers are actually teaching and not just "watching" them.  We would not know what to do without our KinderCare family.

- Parent

As a foster-to-adopt parent, there were a lot of ups and downs to the processes and challenges that come with such a responsibility. When we first started to think about taking the journey to foster to adopt, there was no question in our mind that we would send our children to our local KinderCare.  Before we were placed with a child, we took the time to visit many unique child care facilities throughout our city, and hands down we never felt as welcomed as we were at our Chouteau and Parvin KinderCare. Our KinderCare family has been there for us from the beginning--from the first day we brought in our little 18-month-old son to the day we adopted him and his sister.  Four years later, we can still count on our KinderCare family to be there for us. Next to bringing two little ones into our family, the choice of KinderCare has been an enriching decision. I am truly grateful for our center's love and support. I can trust them with our precious little ones as if I was leaving them with family, because they truly our members of ours.

- Parent

My daughter was enrolled at KinderCare at six weeks old. I think this is one of the best decisions I have made. When it was time for her to go on to school, she was more than ready. KinderCare has a wonderful curriculum and passionate teachers to implement it. The fun "family feel" makes it easy to leave my  daughter at KinderCare every day, as she is still enrolled in the school-age before- and after-school program. I couldn't imagine my daughter attending any other center.

- Parent

My children have been attending KinderCare for three years. If you knew my children back then, you would know that they have come a long way. I believe part of it has to do with the staff and family at KinderCare. They worked with me and help my children feel safe and happy, even when they are hard to love. The staff is very caring and kind. I appreciate all of them and believe they are a part of my village. I couldn't do this without them.
