We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Teachers & Staff

Here at Taney Avenue KinderCare we pride ourselves on being known for our small homey feel. Our staff truly strives to build meaningful relationships with the children and families! We are extremely happy to say that more than 50 percent of our staff has been with KinderCare for five or more years. It is also important for our families to know that every teacher in our building is early childhood certified to teach in their assigned classrooms. When hiring new staff we try our best to hire teachers that seem to have a true love for teaching and a desire to work for KinderCare.

August's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: All About Me and Dinosaurs
Infants and toddlers will learn all about themselves while kids in Discovery Preschool will take a look at our favorite extinct creatures: dinosaurs! Infants will look at their reflections in mirrors, listen to voices through cardboard tubes to encourage babbling, and practice self-expression as they move while listening to music. Toddlers will create body-related artwork (like paintings of their faces) and imagine the future as they pretend to be all grown up while playing dress-up. Meanwhile, children in Discovery Preschool are in for a “dinomite” time learning all about dinosaurs and their habitats, and they’ll build essential skills through fun, theme-related activities—like counting dinosaur eggs and going on pretend fossil hunts!

Children 4 to 5 years old: Foods and Flavors, Shapes and Colors, and Alphabet Letters/Review
For the first two weeks of August, older children will be learning all about the basic food groups, where food comes from, and how to make healthful food choices. After that, preschoolers will be getting artsy as they explore shapes and colors using materials like blocks, paint, play dough, and colored water—and they’ll even take their knowledge outdoors with scavenger hunts for colors and shapes! Their older friends in Pre-K and Transitional Kindergarten will be getting up close and personal with the alphabet as they learn uppercase and lowercase letters, the sounds the letters make, and how those sounds can be combined to make words—all culminating with the creation of a classroom alphabet book.

Health and Safety

We have a health and safety coordinator, Megan Bradshaw, who is designated to take care of the monthly health and safety calendar as well as ensure staff are following all health and safety procedures. Along with having a health and safety coordinator our center itself has built in safety devices to ensure that all children are safe and secure in our building. All families must enter a code into our exterior keypad in order to gain entrance into the school. We ask that families do not share the code with others. If another adult is coming to pick up your child we ask that you have them ring our door bell so that we can properly check their identification before releasing him/her to that person's care.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

I had my two children at the KinderCare on Taney Avenue for almost two years. I can not thank the team enough for all the care and support they gave not only to my children but to my husband and I as parents as well. My son started at KinderCare at about four years old and only had limited speech abilities. By the time he enrolled in kindergarten his speech was greatly improved and he is doing very well. Thanks for all that you do! You have excellent teamwork and dedication to the children.

- Mother

Our children absolutely love going to KinderCare. Max has learned so much already! Who knew he would be singing the whole alphabet and counting to 13 before he was 2 and a half! He loves the ABC Music and me Program as well as his teachers. Max's older sister Millie really enjoys the summer camp program, it kept her learning even when school was not in session.

- Mother

Both Garrett and Avery have benefited from Ms. Megan's bright, cheerful and outgoing attitude. She taught Avery phonics for a while, which Avery always enjoyed. Ms. Megan is also very detail oriented and gives detailed updates on what Garrett does during the day, and all of the progress he makes as he is beginning to move into the toddler stages.

- Parents

I’m writing to offer the highest possible praise for KinderCare, (Taney Ave) Daycare facility. My child has only been at this center for a week, and it feels like she has been there for years.  This center excels at meeting the children's developmental needs, with their great curriculum base program.  My daughter comes home daily talking about the great things she has done, and how much she LOVES her teachers.
The staff is always caring and enthusiastic. On a daily bases, I'm made aware of my child's day.  The management of this facility is very professional, and organized. This facility is one of the cleanest daycares I have ever been in. I feel BLESSED knowing my child is in a safe, clean, educational environment.

- Mother

My son started Kinder Care in January this is his first actual daycare center so I'm sure like every parent you can understand my concern and fear. When I spoke to Megan (Office) on the phone she was very helpful she made me feel comfortable and kept in contact with me until I had made my decision. When i went for my visit to the center I was greeted at the door and welcomed by all the staff.  I liked that they have a seating area where you can put car seats etc. They showed me all the rooms and explained everything to me about how he will grow into each class.  I really liked the fact that there are two sections for the babies and infants. They aren't all just crammed together. I was very happy with everything that they showed me and what I saw. All the staff were very nice and made me feel better about bringing him. Grayson's first week was hard on me and him but we got through it. Every day it got better and better Meagan (teacher) and the other girls always did extra little things to make me feel better about how he was doing throughout the day. I'm very happy that I chose this center instead of the other one that I went to. KinderCare is very clean, organized, they have a variety of toys, they do activities with the infants which is so great especially the art work and sensory skills that they go over. Grayson loves all the girls he hugs them and cuddles with them which makes me feel food that he is comfortable with them. They have been understanding about everything and work with you if there are any issues. I'm very please and happy. I would recommend them to my family and friends. That is how I found out about them my children's godmother recommended them to me. Her kids also went here years ago so that told me something good!!

- Mother

My son attended Taney Avenue KinderCare from 8 weeks old through the start of kindergarten. His 4-year-old sister also started at KinderCare as an infant and is still there today. We have had a very good experience with this learning center/daycare. The teachers have been wonderful and our kids love them dearly.  This center seems to have a relatively low level of turnover. Many of the teachers have been at the center the entire time my kids have attended. Ms Megan cared for our 8-week old son, and saw him leave the center as a 5 year old kindergartner. Ms Resmi is extremely enthusiastic and had done a wonderful job teaching both kids how to read and write. My son was extremely well-prepared for Kindergarten, thanks to Ms. Resmi, and many other teachers at the center. Communication with the parents is very good and the staff will work with you on any special requests or needs for your child. We would recommend this center to any interested parents.

- Father

My granddaughter lives with me and has been going to KinderCare on Taney Avenue for 7 years. Diane, Megan, and all of the staff are wonderful and very caring people. My granddaughter loves going there and I can go to work every day with peace of mind knowing that she is safe and being very well taken care of. There are always many activities and events planned to keep the children busy and interested and the summer program is great. I have always been very happy that i chose KinderCare as my granddaughter's second home.

- Grandmother

Diane and her team at the Taney Avenue KinderCare were instrumental in my six year old's development. Ever since my son has moved on to Kindergarten, my wife and I really began to appreciate how prepared he was. KinderCare was a huge part of that preparation. Not only will your child learn the early childhood development skills they will need for school, but the entire staff is friendly, nurturing and responsive to parents. Incredible program staffed by incredible people.
