We absolutely love our community and the families that reside in Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga. Our educational child care center has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and we encourage all of our parents to come by any time to see the learning that the children engage in, participate in parent/family events such as story time, occupational sharing and many of our special events. Our nationally accredited Heritage Village KinderCare center is a good representation of our surrounding community and has excellent educational programs for Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, Prekindergarten, Transitional Kinder and Kindergarten children that start your child off on a never ending path of fun learning. We believe in whole child development that emphasizes growth in children's social, cognitive, physical, and emotional development.

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Private Kindergarten Programs (5 – 6 Years)

As children reach school age, our comprehensive full-day kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate, and create – all in a nurturing, small-class setting. Our team of expert educators has created a unique curriculum of reading, language, arts, math, science, and physical fitness that’s presented in a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of learning. Plus, our program is aligned with local and state elementary school standards, so children will be prepared to confidently enter first grade.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Interactive Kindergarten (5 - 6 Years)

A full-day interactive Kindergarten program that utilizes new curriculum with an interactive smart board making first grade readiness a priority.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

    1. January's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Light and Dark, plus the Sky and Weather

Through shadow play, experiments with flashlights, observing the Sun and more, infants and toddlers will enjoy learning about light and dark this month. Infants continue sensory development by looking at contrasting patterns and at objects that are clearly defined by sharp edges and bright colors, while toddlers will build on their understanding of the light and dark concepts with play around daytime and nighttime. The older Discovery Preschool children will turn their attention to the sky as they learn about weather, the Moon, the Sun, and stars.

Children 4–5 years old: Transportation, Healthy Bodies, and Winter

For children in the Preschool and Kindergarten classrooms, January is filled with variety! They’ll begin by learning about transportation and studying how things get from “here” to “there.” A few weeks later, the focus will shift to health and bodies, with an emphasis placed on how to make good choices for a growing body. Towards the end of the month, children will be introduced to the transformative nature of the winter season and learn how to dress and take care of themselves when it’s cold outside.

Teachers & Staff

Our staff come from a variety of backgrounds with a range of experience and education. However our teachers have one thing in common, a passion for teaching and creating a love for learning. Each teacher gets to know each child and their family and finds those meaningful moments to share with moms and dads that have spent the day away from their children. The team here at our center strives for excellence in all that we do and encourage each other to continue personal learning and growth. Throughout each day, our team can say that they've committed fully the education, health and safety of every child.

    Millie Boychuk, Center Director

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Mahatma Gandhi

Millie had the unique experience of opening the center and seeing it grow into a thriving and essential part of the community over the past 14 years.  Millie enjoys seeing children grow in their home away from home. Education is so important in a child's life, and children truly need to get off on the right start and develop a love for learning early so they have that edge going into elementary school. One of Millie's favorite parts about her longevity at the center is looking forward to visits from children that have left years before that come by to say hello and give updates to the teachers that had them in class. Or having families return after years of being gone, with their next baby.

    1. December's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Family, Friends, and Things that Go!

Infants and toddlers will be exploring family and friends, while three-year-olds will focus on things that go vroom! Social and emotional development is foundational to growth and development in babies, so this month, infants and toddlers will participate in activities that reinforce their connection to family while also exploring connections that exist outside their home, such as friends. Meanwhile, their older friends in Discovery Preschool will learn about and play around with things that move (like bicycles, cars, buses, trains, and airplanes), which are all very exciting for little ones as they continue to explore the world outside their homes.

Children 4–5 years old: My Country + Tools and Machines

The four- and five-year-olds continue exploring the world around them by learning about the state and country they live in! They’ll sings songs, play games based on travel, and learn about flags, state foods, and more. Children will also be introduced to cardinal directions (east, west, north, and south) and gain an appreciation for travel and meeting new friends from different places.

Children are naturally fascinated with machines and how things work and are put together. So to encourage that fascination, during the second half of this month children will learn about and play around with tools and machines. In addition to building literacy skills by using the names of machines and tools, children will develop math skills by graphing information, counting wheels, and more.

We have a key coded entry, alarm secured gates on our playgrounds and have regular fire and disaster drills. Our Center also has a Health and Safety Coordinator who assists center management with all things in Health and Safety. We are pleased to have passed  an extensive internal safety audit early 2015.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

Heritage Village KinderCare has been part of my family and we have been part of theirs for approximately 4 years. After exploring the options available for my first baby I knew right away who to choose. The comfort was immediate for me and as you all know for a first time parent that is incredibly important! The staff is amazing, so caring and creative. Now after my second child is turning 2 years old I'm writing a testimonial. I could go on and on but will choose KinderCare's two most important qualities to myself and my family.

Communication is number one. I always know what my children are doing from their daily logs, to wall postings of activities and menus, to phone calls when needed, to the friendly staff we see at drop offs and pick ups. Secondly, my kiddos never want to leave which of course means they LOVE attending and they are full time! It is awesome to see my kids learning and growing from such a wonderful child care/preschool experience.

As a side note after my second child was born and I went out on maternity leave I didn't want to leave KinderCare either. I cried, but was happy to return and with my new baby at the time I couldn't have chosen anywhere else but Heritage Village KinderCare to nurture and care for my kids again. We all LOVE KinderCare!

- Mother

Where do I begin to share my families memorable experiences we have had with Kindercare! My two daughters have been a part of the Fontana Heritage Kindercare for over five years. It starts with caring and personable management. Ms. Millie, Ms. Veronica and Ms. Niki are always there when we have needed them. They take such pride in the school. They set the bar so high and strive for quality child care. My daughters teachers are also amazing! When my girls come home every day from the minute I pick them up all they talk about is their teachers, Ms.Melissa and Ms. Michele, and the fun they had at Kindercare. There are so many excellent teachers there I can't say enough about them, but I can say if you are looking for a high quality top notch preschool then this is the place. It is clean, organized and children are their priority.

- Father

At the end of each day we love talking with Brielle about her day. She’s so excited to share what she did in the classroom and in each of her Learning Adventures classes. She loves to show off her new Spanish to friends and family. They are always amazed! Her passion for music, cooking, and learning in general has really blossomed with Learning Adventures.

- Parents

KinderCare has provided a safe and fun learning environment for my 3 year old son. When I drop him off, I feel that he is left with his second family because of how caring the staff is. He comes home singing songs and tells me what he has learned for the day. As an educator myself, I have been impressed with the daily lesson plans and the organized schedule of events. I have been very happy with KinderCare and plan on leaving my son enrolled through his preschool and kindergarten years.

- Mother

Kylie looks forward to Cooking Adventures each week. She is proud of the food she makes and brings home pictures to show us. She has started asking to help us cook dinner at home and is great at pouring.

- Mother

We wanted to help Jaden to learn and love to read and start early with a good math foundation. Phonics and Math Adventure have educational tools that are fun for Jaden. These classes have built confidence and the love to read and learn math. He is eager and loves to come in to Phonics and Math classes every week.
