Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Private Kindergarten Programs (5 – 6 Years)

As children reach school age, our comprehensive full-day kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate, and create – all in a nurturing, small-class setting. Our team of expert educators has created a unique curriculum of reading, language, arts, math, science, and physical fitness that’s presented in a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of learning. Plus, our program is aligned with local and state elementary school standards, so children will be prepared to confidently enter first grade.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

    1. January's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Light and Dark, plus the Sky and Weather

Through shadow play, experiments with flashlights, observing the Sun and more, infants and toddlers will enjoy learning about light and dark this month. Infants continue sensory development by looking at contrasting patterns and at objects that are clearly defined by sharp edges and bright colors, while toddlers will build on their understanding of the light and dark concepts with play around daytime and nighttime. The older Discovery Preschool children will turn their attention to the sky as they learn about weather, the Moon, the Sun, and stars.

Children 4–5 years old: Transportation, Healthy Bodies, and Winter

For children in the Preschool and Kindergarten classrooms, January is filled with variety! They’ll begin by learning about transportation and studying how things get from “here” to “there.” A few weeks later, the focus will shift to health and bodies, with an emphasis placed on how to make good choices for a growing body. Towards the end of the month, children will be introduced to the transformative nature of the winter season and learn how to dress and take care of themselves when it’s cold outside.

    1. December's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Family, Friends, and Things that Go!

Infants and toddlers will be exploring family and friends, while three-year-olds will focus on things that go vroom! Social and emotional development is foundational to growth and development in babies, so this month, infants and toddlers will participate in activities that reinforce their connection to family while also exploring connections that exist outside their home, such as friends. Meanwhile, their older friends in Discovery Preschool will learn about and play around with things that move (like bicycles, cars, buses, trains, and airplanes), which are all very exciting for little ones as they continue to explore the world outside their homes.

Children 4–5 years old: My Country + Tools and Machines

The four- and five-year-olds continue exploring the world around them by learning about the state and country they live in! They’ll sings songs, play games based on travel, and learn about flags, state foods, and more. Children will also be introduced to cardinal directions (east, west, north, and south) and gain an appreciation for travel and meeting new friends from different places.

Children are naturally fascinated with machines and how things work and are put together. So to encourage that fascination, during the second half of this month children will learn about and play around with tools and machines. In addition to building literacy skills by using the names of machines and tools, children will develop math skills by graphing information, counting wheels, and more.

I highly recommend the Fairfield KinderCare. My child has now attended, full-time for four years and every day I drop him off, I know he is extremely well cared for. The teachers and staff are wonderful. They are friendly, professional, and forthright with parents while being creative, loving, and fun with the children. They serve nutritious and creative meals, and discipline by teaching good manners and habits. They maintain a schedule with meal times, nap times, and fun-filled educational activities. My child has painted with ice, grown plants, danced in sprinklers, and learned so much about things from the alphabet and numbers to transportation and dinosaurs. I can’t imagine a more secure, loving, and trustworthy place for my child to spend his days.

- Mother

My son has been attending KinderCare Fairfield since he was four months old. He is four years old now and is thriving. KinderCare provides a secure and safe place for me to leave my child while I work. The teachers are great, they are very creative, sensitive, understanding, and honest. I have never had any problems at the center with anything. My son loves going to school and surprises us daily with all that he learns! Thank you KinderCare!

- Mother

I am pleased to recommend the Fairfield KinderCare to any parent looking for a reliable, caring center for his/her child(ren).

My two youngest children, now ages 3 ½ and 2 ½ years old, have been attending KinderCare since they were three months old.  Three years ago when my initial daycare provider didn’t work out, I was frantically looking for a reliable daycare provider.  A family friend of mine recommended that I look into the Fairfield KinderCare as a possible option since her own nieces attended there from infancy until 12 years old.  I called KinderCare that same day, scheduled a tour, and eventually met with the Director, Lacy Sczepanski.  Ms. Lacy was very pleasant and accommodating, making sure to discuss the different daycare options and prices based on our needs.  What I found most impressive about KinderCare was the daily written communication sheets they completed, particularly for the Infants, Toddlers, and Discovery Preschool ( 2-year-old) classes.  For parents that desire and appreciate knowing how their child is progressing daily, these communication sheets are such a helpful tool.  In addition, I found the center’s hours and days of operation to be very convenient since my significant other and I work such varied hours.

Most importantly, I couldn’t be more pleased with the caring staff they have, particularly Ms. Erica and Ms. Christina in Infants; Ms. Phoua, Ms. Emily, and Ms. Amaris in Toddlers; Ms. Yoshi, Ms. Shirin, and Ms. Joi in Discovery Preschool; and Ms. Crystal and Ms. Aleesha in Preschool A.  These wonderful teachers, in addition to ALL of the teachers and management team employed there, have truly made the Fairfield KinderCare so “family-friendly” and “trustworthy.”

For any parent, the task of looking for a daycare provider can be so overwhelming and downright scary.  There are literally different types of centers to choose from nowadays that each offer different types of services to different age groups.  While one might argue that big daycare centers are “too costly,” I truly believe the saying, “You get what you pay for.”  Fairfield KinderCare is truly a “quality” daycare center with “quality” staff committed to enriching the lives of the children they serve each day.  I only wish I had all the money in the world so that I could provide to each and every one of them the compensation they really deserve.  Therefore, it is with great pleasure to write this testimonial as a small token of my appreciation as a parent who feels incredibly blessed to have such wonderful individuals  in my children’s everyday lives.

- Parents

I would like to take a moment to share the wonderful experience my family has had at the KinderCare on Woodcreek Dr. My daughter Ellie began attending KinderCare in 2009 when she was 14 months old. Before finding KinderCare we tried an in-home daycare that had been highly recommend by our friends. After a few weeks there we knew it was not a good fit for Ellie. Ellie was shy and very sensitive around people. We also felt that she needed to be surrounded by kids her own age. When I brought her to KinderCare the teachers and staff were extremely patient with her as she adapted to her new surroundings. From then on she has flourished in each and every class she has been in at the center. She started kindergarten recently and I am so impressed by how well prepared she was after attending KinderCare for preschool. In 2013, I also enrolled my son, Finn, when he was around five months old. The Infant room is great and the teachers are so nice. I always feel confident that my child is in an environment that is safe, nurturing, and stimulating. Finn has done so well in the Infant room, and now that he turned one I look forward to his next adventure at the center! I have been very happy with all of the teachers my children have had at the center over the years. The teachers and staff members are nurturing, friendly and have great communication, keeping me informed on how my children are progressing.

The center truly feels like a big family. The best feeling as a parent who works outside the home is knowing that your children are happy, safe, and well taken care of, and that is exactly how I feel about KinderCare. As a final note I would like to mention that Lacy, the Center Director, has always been available for any questions or concerns I have had. Sometimes my work schedule changes and she has been more than willing to work with me when I need to add extra days of care. Overall my experience has been overwhelmingly positive and I would highly recommend the center to anyone looking for great daycare and school for their children.

- Mother

Your attentive teachers in the Infant room noticed one Monday morning earlier this month that my son wasn't himself and investigated right away by taking his temperature. Management called me right away when it was discovered he was running a fever (101.3). The Infant teachers continued to take his temperature while I was en route to pick him up. When I got there 45 minutes later, his fever had gone up even more (102.3). I ended up having to take him to the emergency room, where a chest x-ray revealed he had pneumonia. What a relief to know that the Infant room folks know my son well enough, with him being there just two days a week on average, to notice a problem right away and taking action right away rather than assuming he was just cranky and/or tired and letting it go! Feels good to know that your team is looking out for my son's well being when I can't be there. Thank you.

- Mother

My children are currently in your Woodcreek Dr. KinderCare. My youngest is in the Discovery Preschool Classroom and I love how much fun they have every day. Also, my four-year-old daughter is in the Prekindergarten classroom. I would like to tell you that Ms. Janie, Ms. Sandra, and Ms. Marissa have made my daughter's experience moving into another class the best I could have asked for. My daughter is inspired by Ms. Janie and really looks up to her. She has such a kind heart. I really appreciate everything she does for my daughter and It makes my days at work a lot easier knowing my daughter is in good hands with a teacher I can trust. Thank you.
