Jacquelyn started with KinderCare in 2008 and has held positions as a teacher, Assistant Director and Center Director. She grew up in Illinois and attended Indiana University, where she studied Elementary Education. Jacquelyn believes that early childhood education is extremely important in developing a lifelong learner. She enjoys guiding children through the learning process and seeing their excitement when they succeed.
Tara came to KinderCare in 2007 as a lead Preschool teacher and was promoted to Assistant Director shortly thereafter. She has also had experience at the Center Director level. With a Child Development Associate's credential and over eight years of experience of working with children and families, Tara loves being the Assistant Director. She enjoys the relationships she has developed within the center.
"I simply just love the infants! They are so tiny and cute!"
Ms. Ava, our Lead Infant Teacher does a great job caring for the children and implementing individualized lessons. She loves bringing art into the classroom, allowing the infants to explore with different mediums. Ms. Ava was born and raised in South Korea. She moved to the states in 1999. She loves to spend her time reading, cooking, or finding new restaurants in the city.
Before working at KinderCare, Ava gained experience in another early childhood learning center, working with ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
Ms. Naimisha has been with KinderCare since September 2003. She started as the Early Foundations Toddler teacher and has continued to be since 2003. She studied Early Childhood Education for three years at Harper College, and worked at a Montoserri Learning Center for two years prior to coming to KinderCare. Ms. Naimisha has three children of her own, all who have grown up at this KinderCare. She shows how much she cares about her students and families with her loving personality and welcoming classroom.
Ms. Jessica has been working at KinderCare since March of 2009. She attended Harper College where she majored in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Jessica has taught Infants, Early Foundation Toddlers, Catch the Wave, and is currently the Discovery Preschool teacher. She enjoys working in the Discovery Preschool classroom and being able to teach her students something new each day.
"The best part of being a teacher is forming relationships with the children. I love making a difference in the children's lives and seeing them use the skills I have taught them. It is the best feeling in the world to teach a child something new. Being a teacher is the most rewarding job!"
Ms. Elizabeth joined the team in 2013, with this being her first time teaching a group of young children. She began spending time in each classroom, forming relationships with each child. Ms. Elizabeth is very energetic and enjoys maintaining a fun and educational classroom.
"You're never too old, too wackly, too wild to pick up a book and read to a child. - Dr. Seuss"
Ms. Diana graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2012. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching movies with friends, and playing with her dog. I also enjoy going to Chicago Blackhawks and Cubs games!
Diana previously worked as a teacher's assistant at an elementary school and taught a preschool lab class in high school.
"We are raising our future with our kids - giving them a quality early education is building the foundation for future learning."
Ms. Marti has been working in early childhood for more than 20 years, and still remembers the names of her very first students! It's the love and passion for early learning that keeps her in the classroom. Ms. Marti is married and has 2 kids of her own, ages 9 and 12. Any free time she has is spent with her family!
