Welcome to the Chantilly KinderCare. We are very excited to meet with you and your family. Our center believes in developing the whole child by creating a comfortable, yet challenging atmosphere that promotes your child's development at any age. We focus on enrichment through social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Here at Chantilly KinderCare, your child will not only have a safe, secure, and stimulating environment to learn in, but will have the support from a team who have a true passion for education and nurturing children. Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with the Spanish language. Music, games, children's Spanish literature, and other tools give children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language for vocabulary and conversational development. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, body parts and pets as well as how to get engage conversationally during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo. Qué pasa?

Teachers & Staff

The teachers and staff members at Chantilly KinderCare are dedicated to continuing your child's education. Whether it be helping your child take their first steps or supporting them in Elementary school, our teachers are ready and excited to help. Backgrounds range from Child Development Associate's Credential to Master's in Education Degree, but they all share one thing in common; their love and passion for Early Childhood Education. Our team of highly trained teachers and staff would love a chance to help guide your child in reaching their developmental goals.

  • Marian Stiffler

    Marian Stiffler, Center Director

    Every day I am in awe of the privilege I have been given by our families to care for and educate their children. It's wonderful to hear parents tell us "thank you", but I am the one who is grateful for their trust.

    Marian has been with KinderCare for over 15 years. She began her career in education as a high school teacher, but shifted careers after the birth of her children. With her children grown and no more cub scout dens to lead and no more home rooms to mother, she realized how much she missed working with young children. That's when her career with KinderCare began and she has never looked back. She knows this is where she was meant to be.

    Previous Experience:
    Marian began her career in education by teaching high school, she then spent twenty years as a property manager before returning to education. She began her KinderCare years at our Railstop center in Ashburn Farms before being promoted to center director at our Cascades center in Sterling. After ten years at Cascades, Marian sought new challenges, and made Chantilly her home over two years ago.

  • Maryam Farjam, Assistant Director

    Being a former teacher I have always had a passion for instilling a love of learning in all my students. But it's the connections I make with my families and students that makes my work seem like no work at all. We have a family here and I love knowing that I get to be part of it everyday.

    Maryam has been part of the Chantilly KinderCare family since January 2010. She can found be found bright and early greeting her families every morning as she has been opening the building since she began. Ms. Maryam has a passion for running a well organized, caring and successful office. Her love for learning and children is evident everyday as she makes her self available to all teachers and families throughout the day. When Ms Maryam is not with her KinderCare family she can be found traveling and enjoying life to the fullest.

    Prior to starting at KinderCare Maryam was a history teacher in Richmond, VA.

    Ms. Jessica, Infant and Toddler Classrooms

    I really love children and I'm passionate about making a positive difference in their lives. I enjoy reading, playing, listening and dancing to music with the children as they learn and experience fun!

    Ms. Jessica has been with the Chantilly KinderCare for quite some time. Her soothing and warm presence in the Infant room is felt every night as she has been closing both infant and toddler rooms for many years. She especially enjoys reading and singing to her students. When Ms. Jessica is not with her KinderCare family she is with her two daughters, son and husband enjoying their time together.

    Prior to starting at KinderCare Ms. Jessica was a caregiver for infants and toddlers, a secretary and a private entrepreneur..

  • Ms. Amanda

    Ms. Amanda, Infant Classroom

    I love watching children grow and develop each day. Everyday is different and always exciting. It is most satisfying to to see a child reach a new developmental goal.

    Ms. Amanda has been a refreshing edition to our KinderCare family, transferring from one of our centers in Illinois. She loves enhancing the KinderCare curriculum with some of her own fun and creative activities. She provides a nurturing and warm environment that helps all infants flourish and grow. Years of experience and love for her students makes Ms. Amanda truly shine as an Infant lead teacher.

    Prior to starting at KinderCare Ms. Amanda was a toddler teacher at a different center and spent several years working in a church nursery.

    Ms. Cathy began her career with KinderCare as a Center Director. After the birth of her son, she soon realized that her heart was in teaching. She truly enjoys watching her students grow and progress. Ms. Cathy's warm nature and soothing abilities instills trust from all her parents. When Cathy isn't with her Kindercare family she enjoys spending time with her own growing family.

    I love the smiles and hugs I get everyday. I also enjoy learning and all the different experiences I get to have.

    Ms. Atiya has been with the center since it opened. She has a true passion for connecting with her students and families. Ms. Atiya's creative and interactive classroom makes it a great place for all children to come and express themselves. One of her favorite classroom activities is art. You can find an array of little masterpieces in her classroom along with pictures capturing those moments. Ms. Atiya can be found every morning opening both the infant and toddler rooms with a smile and a hug.

    Ms. Latrice, Preschool Classroom

    I love being creative and inventive. I not only do I touch the lives of my students but also their parents everyday. I feel childcare is my dream come true! What better way to have a new adventure everyday!

    Ms. Latrice has been with Chantilly KinderCare since our doors opened. The passion she has for her job and her students is evident everyday. The many years of experience has provided her with a true understanding of the mind of a preschooler. Ms. Latrice's classroom environment is always one full of activities and fun. When Ms. Latrice is not in her classroom you can find her driving our School Age students to and from school as one of our certified bus drivers.

    I love being able to help children grow into good citizens.

    Ms. Teresa has been with KinderCare for 12 years. She has a strong passion for helping students reach their educational goals. One of her favorite classroom activities is helping students express themselves through arts and crafts. Ms. Teresa really believes in making sure every moment with her students is a teachable moment. When Ms. Teresa is not in her classroom, you can find her making breakfast and getting great big hugs from the children as they enter the center. She has been our center's opener for many years.

  • Ms. Jamie

    Ms. Jamie, Pre Kindergarten

    I love coming to work every day, knowing I am making a difference. Whether it's giving a hug or teaching a skill. I love every aspect of my job at KinderCare!

    Ms Jamie has been with the KinderCare family since 2010. She began teaching in the School Age classroom and assisting with Learning Adventure classes, she has now found her home as the Pre Kindergarten teacher. Her fun loving personality makes even the simplest lessons a fun and interactive way to learn. You can always count on finding Ms. Jamie using both her artistic and creative abilities not only in her classroom but throughout the center. She also really enjoys incorporating music into her lessons as well.

  • Ms. Doris, Cook and Classroom Assistant

    I like coming to work and sharing experiences with the children. I also enjoy when the children enjoy their lunches and the thank yous I get from parents for providing healthy meals!

    Ms. Doris has been a great help throughout the years both in the classroom and in the kitchen. She truly enjoys her time spent assisting in classrooms because it gives her the ability to connect with both the child and their families. Ms. Doris also takes pride knowing she's providing all her students with healthy meals and snacks and instilling in them healthy eating habits.

    I love molding young minds for future success and of course all the hugs and smiles I receive everyday!

    Ms. Katie has been with KinderCare since 2004. She joined the Chantilly KinderCare family August 2012, previously working at the Cascades center in Sterling, VA. Throughout the years Ms. Katie has worked with a variety of different age groups. Most currently she is working as the Learning Adventures Teacher and School Age Teacher. Throughout the day she loves being able to provide fun and exciting one on one educational based activities. Ms. Katie's easy going attitude and creativity makes her an asset to any activity or classroom she's in.

    Ms. Katie was a babysitter for many years prior to joining the KinderCare staff.

About Our Center

Our staff would like to welcome you to visit our center. The staff takes pride in keeping up to date with the latest trends in Early Childhood Education. Ongoing training is offered to the staff during the year at the center and through the various training opportunities in the community.

Our center is closed the following holidays: New Years Day, Presiden'ts Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after, and Christmas day.

Health and Safety

We here at Chantilly KinderCare take your child's heath and safety with the highest regard. Each one of our staff members is CPR/First Aide Certified along with Daily Health Observation certified to aide in keeping all of our friends and family as healthy as can be. We also have a team of MAT certified teachers and staff to help in administering medication if the situation ever presents itself.
To ensure continued safety all extrerior doors remain locked thoughout the day, requiring parents and staff to key in a code for entry. We also offer completey enclosed playgrounds with locked exits to aide in keeping your children safe at all times.
