Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Health and Safety

Here at KinderCare, one of our top priorities is the safety of your children. The front door of our center has a coded entry where only authorized family members will have a code to enter. At Hazel Dell KinderCare Ms. Christina is our Health & Safety Coordinator. Her role is to ensure our preparedness of direct emergencies, maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards in all classrooms, and conducting safety training exercises.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

A world without KinderCare is a world without a place where I can take all three of my kids and feel comfortable and at ease when I say good bye to them. The staff is very professional and through the few times my child has been bitten it still didn't change my mind about the care and attention my kids receive at Kinder Care. So Kinder Care to the world is like breath to our bodies, we have to have it. Thanks and continue the beautiful work that you do.

I love the fact that when I come to pick Gabe up the teachers tell me about his day and voice concerns (if any). Ms. Kathleen and Ms. Grafilia are wonderful teachers in the Toddler Classroom. They are both amazing caregivers!

- Mother

When I leave my girls at KC everyday, I walk out knowing that my kids will be well taken care of. The staff is extremely friendly, well qualified and hard working. I feel like I can focus on my work better because I am not worried about my kids and know that my kids are in a safe environment.

The teachers at KC treat my little girl like a rock star! All the teachers, even the ones she hasn't had yet, smile and greet her by name. You see, when I drop Eloise off every morning, I am entrusting all of you with the most important person in the world (to me). So many teachers have contributed to the development of this happy, loving little girl! Together, we are developing this little person, and what a joy, challenge struggle, and triumph that can be!

I would like to personally thank the Toddler room teachers, Gi-Gi and Kathleen (and any others I don't normally see in the mornings) for their incredible work with our Molly. Molly has blossomed and made tremendous developmental progress in the short time she has been there. Each week she comes home to us with some new accomplishment or skill. It is truly amazing. Her teachers encourage and push Molly to do things she before has never been able to do. They are excited as we are with each new accomplishment. I can't say enough praise for our experiences at the Hazel Dell KinderCare.

We really appreciate when teachers help with the transition in the morning. Saying hi to the kids by name, giving them a hug when needed, distracting them. We have really appreciated all the extra help we have had  in the Infant Classroom. I really thought when we had to do the allergy diet that we would have to pull her out. But the teachers really embraced trying to do what is best for Sophie. They have asked a lot of questions and provided suggestions. They have helped to decrease my stress. Ms. Rose has also been a huge help! We love all these ladies and it is hard to pick just one. We appreciate the efforts of the teachers in Abby's room with her potty training. Abby loves Ms. Chandra and talks about her a lot at home. We have found Ms. Nicole a nice addition and has been specifically helpful at giving us more information about how Abby is interacting with others and how she is doing with her academic skills.

My almost two year old daughter Kennedy has only attended KC for about one month, but I know she loves it! Three mornings a week when we're getting dressed, she says "cool" (her version of school) over and over with a bright smile. She never had a morning of tears when I dropped her off and I always return to a happy, dancing girl in the afternoon. The teachers in the Discovery Preschool Classroom did a fantastic job of welcoming her in the morning and starting her with the morning activity  I personally can't imagine a day with fifteen Kennedy's, so my hat goes off to Ms. Liz, Ms. Chelsey, and Ms. Christy.  They make me feel much at ease and ready to start my work day.  Great job!

Ms. Lily in the Infant Classroom was the only one who could get Ava to take a bottle when I returned to work. It gave me such comfort. Her patience is priceless!

The things I love about KinderCare on Hazel Dell: The opportunity for my child to participate in additional programs, such as cooking and music. I like the opportunity for her to get extra attention, and I like that her teacher gives feedback about how Cam does in those classes. Overall, I think communication is proactive. I like the information on what my child is doing in the classroom (I'd even take more of it - I love the monthly calendar, and would love to see that continue, as well as the email about what’s going on that particular week). I think communication is good at all levels (Director email, teacher notes and discussions, etc). That's been really helpful! Each day, my daughter participates in several well thought out/planned activities (shapes, colors, music/dancing, etc.), and I really see how much she is learning! I like that even with the Toddlers and young Preschool children, learning is a priority and not just left to chance. We had the BEST experience in the Toddler Classroom. Even when Cam was new, they made her/us feel welcome, they ALWAYS took time to really talk to me and my husband at pick up (about her day, about any issues she may be having that we can help work on, about her strengths in learning, etc.) Communication is key with us, and they were always willing to do it. They also seemed to really notice her individual needs and were always willing to go the extra mile!
