Erin Murphy, Center Director
Bio:
Erin brings us over 15 years of experience in early childhood education. She began in high school as part of a work study program, she was selected as a Teacher’s Assistant at a local elementary school working with and mentoring ESL children, and also working after school for a licensed daycare center near Ft. Meade, Maryland. She rose to Assistant Director while completing her degree in Women’s Studies and Early Childhood Education. Erin integrated her experience and knowledge into KinderCare in 2005. She joined KinderCare’s staff as an Assistant Director and was quickly promoted to Center Director.
Because of Erin’s leadership and commitment, love of children and passion for a successful and enriched environment for growth, her center recently earned the distinction of being awarded national accreditation, an honor that ensures parents that their child is with the best of the best in educational experiences. As a mother, Erin says her success is based upon her unwavering belief that you “practice what you teach” and always makes sure that this Center is a place where she would want her own child to be!
Previous Experience:
Before coming to the center, Erin mentored ESL children in coordination with a second grade class. She was a teacher's assistant, teacher, and the assistant director before she became director.

Ms. Anna, Preschool Classroom
Bio:
Ms. Anna was born in Russia. After high school, she finished at a university where she majored in chemistry and minored in Educational Psychology. After she left Russia, her two sons went to an American International School, and she volunteered there. Later, she was employed at the Talent House Private School as a teacher from 1988-1995. She joined KinderCare in 1995 and has been here since. Ms. Anna's daily goal is to make the classroom inviting, clean organized, and she ensures that the learning centers are enriched so the children can enjoy their time, be busy, and learn at the same time. She loves to watch the children playing with dough and different scenes, dressing up in princess clothes in the home living area, or painting at the easels with feathers. It seems to her that children always have a good time in the classroom.

Ms. Babar, Prekindergarten Classroom
Bio:
Ms. Babar has been with KinderCare for almost nine years. She enjoys making a difference in each child by teaching them skills. Ms. Babar enhances the curriculum by doing hands-on activities through dancing, singing, and reading. Ms. Babar is always attending trainings, workshops, and seminars when offered. She takes pride in showing the children's work all over the classroom. Ms. Babar is dedicated, punctual, disciplined and she is wonderful with the kids.
Previous Experience:
Prior to this center, Ms. Babar worked at other KinderCare Centers in Texas; La Petite and St. Stevens.

Ms. Christina, Learning Adventures Classroom, Program Specialist
Bio:
Ms. Christina has been part of KinderCare for 4 years. She is currently attending George Mason University pursuing her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education for Diverse Learners. As a Learning Adventures teacher, Ms. Christina teaches children ABC’s, fine and gross motor skills and I create activities to keep my children engaged in learning.
