Welcome to the Factoria KinderCare. Our center has been caring for our community for over 45 years. We are excited that you are interested in our program and can’t wait to meet with you and your family.
By offering a wide range of learning opportunities and experiences we will promote your child’s emotional, personal, and social development, as well as provide a warm, friendly and safe environment.
We understand that entrusting someone else with the care of your child can be difficult, as partners we will work closely with you to ensure you have chosen the right place where we will inspire your child’s love of learning.

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.
Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.
As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.
At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.
As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.
Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.
A full-day interactive Kindergarten program that utilizes new curriculum with an interactive smart board making first grade readiness a priority.
KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.
The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.
The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.
Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.
Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.
Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with the Spanish language. Music, games, children's Spanish literature, and other tools give children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language for vocabulary and conversational development. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, body parts and pets as well as how to get engage conversationally during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo. Our center is closed Thanksgiving Day and the day after.
To be in your children's memories tomorrow, you have to be in their lives today. Children learn more from what you are than what you teach. So live your life such that when your children think of fairness and integrity, they think of you. After all, it's not important what you leave to your children, it's what you leave in your children.
My career with KinderCare began in 1999 after moving from Canada with my 18 month old son and husband. I started as a toddler teacher and after six months I was promoted to a program specialist. After a year in a half I moved up to being a director and worked on receiving my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been at Factoria KinderCare since July of 2008. I like to be active in the center and know what is going on at the times. I love seeing the children participating in the learning experiences being offered to them everyday and the special relationships I have with them. Seeing the children smile throughout the day and their parents being proud of their accomplishments at school is why I feel I have the best job ever!
Seeing a child learn something new each day and grow is the constant motivation I have to come to work.

KinderCare provides me with the wonderful opportunity to care for and bless children. It is tremendously rewarding for me to be able to invest time in the lives of these precious children. I truly love being apart of the children's growth and development and being part of making their environment safe, stable, and nurturing.

Coming to work everyday and hearing how excited the children are to see me always makes my morning amazing. No matter what else has been going on that morning hearing them scream my name and tell me how much they love and missed me puts a giant smile on my face.
My name is Ms. Alisha and I have been teaching preschool for the past two years at KinderCare. I taught preschool the previous two years at a school in Spokane. I have always loved working with children and have always felt that it comes naturally to me. I have a way of making children feel comfortable and at ease on their first day of school. In my class I am big on creativity and learning by play. I do an art project every single day with them and try to incorporate new ways of creating art. I also use different materials from around the room and outside to show them that art isn’t just pencil, paper or crayons. Art can be anything and made from everything. I like the children to be able to express themselves in whatever way they want and never require them to follow a certain standard while making their art because it's their artwork not mine. I also like to keep the children very busy. I am a very active person and I think it shows in my classroom teaching. I try to come up with lots of extra things on top of the normal curriculum to help keep the children from being bored. While I am very fun and active with the children I still require them to follow my directions and hold them accountable for their actions while in my class. I feel that by doing hands on activities with the children they will have a better understanding of the topic we are discussing rather then me just telling them about it.
Plant seeds of happiness, hope, success, and love; it will come back to you in abundance. This is the law of nature. - Steve Maraboli
