We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Teachers & Staff

Every one of our teachers goes through the same rigorous hiring process to ensure their dedication, passion, and ability to meet the needs of your child. We take pride in having the best teachers in the field of early childhood education. Every year we set aside time to further develop our professional skills through staff development days and training. Together we are committed to providing the highest quality care and education in each of our classrooms.

I love being able to tell a personal story about children to their parents; watching each and every child achieve developmental milestones is what makes me smile and fills my heart! Helping teachers develop themselves to better educate children also helps encourage me to be better for them, the children they educate and the families we serve. Making sure each child's day is the safest and most fulfilled day possible is my goal that I strive to maintain the moment I wake up.

Mr. Keith is a father of twin 9 year old girls that attend school in the Parkway School District. He has lived in the Ballwin area since 1989 and enjoys being involved within this community. April's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Growing Gardens

What better time to explore the beauty and science of flowers and gardens than the spring? Infants’ learning will focus on sensory experiences with different plants and flowers, while toddlers and three-year-olds have the opportunity to learn how to care for plants. We’ll plant seeds in soil, water the plants, observe bugs and discover how they help plants grow, and even plant a butterfly garden outside! We’ll build math skills by counting seeds, learn new vocabulary words related to flowers and plants, and as always, sing songs and read books involving gardens.

Children 4–5 years old: In the Spring + Wild Animals

For children in the Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten Classrooms, April is about exploring all things spring and discovering wild animals! Preschoolers will look for signs of spring outdoors, make mud cakes and count the twigs placed in them, and paint still-life paintings of things related to spring. When our learning turns to wild animals, we’ll learn about the habitats and habits of creatures big and small while maintaining a focus on learning lowercase letters.

The older children in Transitional Kindergarten will focus on project-related work and pick something to work on together. In years past, children have painted a mural, made spring parade floats, painted wild animal masks, and created a model of a wild animal’s habitat. Both of these units focus on expanding the children’s understanding of the natural world around them.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

KinderCare has been great. We were at a center that had closed and we relocated to the Ballwin center and wow! The teachers are great and the director Mr. Keith is wonderful. The teachers are always doing new and exciting things for the children. Walking down the hall to pick my girls up is a real treat because i get to see every room doing something neat and all the children seem happy. I really love all the extra things like parent week, trunk or treat, and the nice famly events that take place!

- Mother

I love bringing my children to KinderCare. The teachers are so freindly and welcoming. Both of my girls have learned so much and they are always excited to come to school. Their teachers keep me well informed of their day to day activities. I've watched my children grow academically since they started at KinderCare.

- Parent

I could not ask for a friendlier group; always smiling and considerate! You foster our children, take them on learning adventures, ensure their safety, and adore them unconditionally. The impact you have is forever and for that I'm grateful my family is surrounded by this KinderCare team.

- Mother

Although I knew the staff is great, I was still hesitant to put our baby in day care as a newborn. I suppose it was due to the unknown, and never having done this before. It was tough trusting a group of people with our newborn baby that had only been with my wife for the first month of her life.

Leah gave us a tour which we really appreciated because we had all the same questions I’m sure most other parents do while touring. Although we knew the facility and staff was great, we (mainly me) learned a lot about the company, its goals and methods, and found it all very helpful. I was also introduced to Cathy and Raven, two of my daughters teachers, and they made me assured that we were making the right decision and that our daughter would be in great hands.

As we went in for her first day of class, we were still nervous and anxious, as we did not know what to expect and how our daughter would adapt. I could not have been any happier with how it all panned out. I got her daily sheet filled out by Nancy at the end of the day and it brought a smile to my face. It was very thorough and informative. Little comments such as. “I got to feel sandpaper because we were learning about textures,” just absolutely made my day.
Today marks our fourth day of class and I am already at ease and so happy that we chose to enroll our daughter at the center. The transition has been flawless and we can already see a difference in our daughter at home, which I am confident is in part due to her experiences at KinderCare.

- Father

What we enjoy most about Kindercare is the enduring relationships Over the years our 4-year old has formed some of the most enduring relationships with fellow classmates, former teachers as well as current teachers. Our daughter still talks fondly of fellow classmates she bonded with during her days spent in the infant and toddler rooms. Although those classmates have long since left Kindercare, the memories endure. We enjoy hearing our daughter's current classmates call out her name excitedly as she enters her classroom each morning! In addition, the Kindercare curriculum has prepared her well for her introduction into Kindergarten this fall.

- Parents

I have been more than happy with KinderCare-both with the caring, competent staff and with the facility itself. It is bright, cheery and buzzing with activity at all times. The staff plans lots of unique activities; they have the best Halloween party in the neighborhood!

- Mother

My child has been enrolled at KinderCare since April of 2011. We have primarily relied on KinderCare to help our son grow and develop social skills and preparing him for preschool. Recently, at a 2 year old check up when filling out the development milestones I was amazed at how my son not only reached all required milestones listed on the physician's form but some for the next age group as well! Thank you KinderCare.

- Father

Our son has attended KinderCare for the past year and a half, since he was only twelve weeks old. Throughout this time, the staff has been amazing and has made the day care setting a second home for our baby to learn and grow. We love hearing and receiving the daily reports of events and activities, and observing our son grow in all areas of learning. KinderCare has done a great job of introducing activities that will increase social, cognitive, emotional, and physical growth by using music, books, sensory play, social play, art projects, movement activities and many more. The teachers here have really built a bond with our son and we are confident that he is safe and happy every day of the week, thanks to the wonderful staff and directors!

- Mother

My husband and I want to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff at KinderCare, whom we have been acquainted with for several years. Our two youngest children have special needs, which require many therapies, medical equipment and medications. The KinderCare staff has always shown genuine care and interest in their progress. Without my knowledge, the staff even stayed late one evening to rearrange the classroom setting to better accommodate my daughter's wheelchair. How reassured we are to leave our children with such devoted caretakers!

- Mother

My daughter Andie has been going to KinderCare for the past 5 years. I have so many wonderful things to say about her experience. Number one, I couldn't have asked for a more caring and loving environment for her. The whole staff is always friendly and they are more like a family to us than just a daycare. Andie has a lot of allergies and she suffers from asthma. Being a mother of a child who suffers from these issues, I am always worried about what she might eat or even breathe in. But with the staff at KinderCare I have never had to worry. They are so thoughtful and they care for her just as I do. And if there was ever an issue of any thing that was being given to her to eat or even if there are times that they have a pet in the class, they would always call me just to verify if it is alright for her. They definitely go above and beyond my expectations, and I couldn't ask for anything more. If anyone ever asks me where I take my daughter for childcare, I proudly say KinderCare. They are more than just a daycare, it's a place where your child can grow and excel, a place where they are loved and a place where they can play and just be themselves.
